[Q] Stuck on CM startup ring - HTC One S

Just unocked, rooted etc my one s. Installed CM10 and gapps. Rebooted from recovery and its just stuck on the greenish CyanogenMod startup ring. Been spinning for about 10 minutes. How long should it take? Should I do something? I don't want to reboot it or anything and screw anything up without checking with you guys first. What do I do?
Thanks,
Kevin

OK so i shut it down and rebooted it to bootloader screen. From what I've found, I need to take the hboot file from the rom and fastboot it to replace the existing one on my phone.
Currently my hboot is 1.14.0005

[Q] cant get into Recovery after Updating FW

i was following this thread to install the ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429953
i applied the PG58IMG.zip from the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432220 as this was said to be required.
now after i updated the firmware through HBOOT, the phone asked to reboot. but it only stays at the white screen "HTC" and nothing more
all i can do is pull the battery out and put it back in and boot into HBOOT
i want to get into recovery mod to install the ROM i have saved on my SD Card. but like i said i cant get into recovery as once i press "bootloader" it will try to update the FW again. i only can say YES or NO, either one will end up with Rebooting the Phone as my only option. which gets me back into the WHITE SCREEN.
HELP PLEASE!!!
Take the memory card out, boot in to hboot, enter recovery. Reinstall memory card, and deleat the file.
thnx
thx. didnt think of that

Simple when you know how lol.
I learnt it last week
You can also run "adb reboot recovery" while the phone is off. That way you don't have to take the cover off. It also works if you for some reason get stuck (happens sometimes when flashing PG58IMG.zip files) at the HTC splash screen.

AT&T HTC ONE X - CM10 rom - NOT BOOTING! - BOOTLOOP! NEED HELP PLEASE!

i tried viper, aokp, and now cm10. NOTHING!
and also before it goes into boot loop it shows the htc quietly brillian then displays the "WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION" paragraph. but it does go into boot from here and stays in bootloop
i have no idea what to do! i have hBoot 1.09

Hold power and volume down until the phone turns off
Release power, but continue holding volume down.
This will bring you to your Hboot.
Confirm you are on version 1.09
boot into recovery
Wipe System
Factory Reset
Flash a ROM for evita
if on 1.14,
Boot into recovery
Wipe System
Factory Reset
Flash boot.img from fastboot
Flash ROM from recovery

Thanks! This fixed it for me and I put another Evita Nightly ROM and resolved the issue. I got into a bootloop by flashing a ROM dating back from Aug. After Titanium backup, it got into a bootloop.
Flashing boot.img separately using fastboot is not needed for hbot 1.09, only 1.14.
Always factory reset (in TWRP, not hboot) when switching ROMs, and don't restore system data with Titanium. It was probably one of these that caused the bootloop.
New and having some issues
I also have an ATT HTC One X 2.20 Hboot 1.14 using twrp 2.4.1 and have been trying to install roms but continue to have an issue with the MD5 file. I have followed the instructions above about flashing the boot.img of CM10 but it seems no matter what I do, it can't find the MD5 and says it is skipping MD5. I know just enough not to get out of a bootloop but I am quite new to this. The one odd thing I see is when I go to mount my phone in order to copy the CM10 zip file into the phone, the options I get are different than others I see online: Mount System (unchecked), Mount Data,(unchecked), Unmount Cache (checked), Unmount SD Card (checked). Any help would be awesome.

[Q] [HELP] Loop + No access to Recovery

That's my first post here in the One S forum and, unfortunately, not a happy one.
I used to have fun with modding a long time ago, with the HTC Desire, but when I bought the One S, I didn't even root it, until yesterday.
To unlock the bootloader and install the TWRP recovery I used the All-in-One toolkit; then I installed a MIUI v5 porting and updated to the latest version.
Not satisfied with it, this morning I decided to try Sense 5 with TrickDroid 10.3.2: I did a TWRP backup, wiped the necessary and installed the zip.
Now the phone is in an infinite loop.. that would be ok, but I can't get to fastboot or recovery.
The problem is that even before I wasn't able to get to fastboot with the button combo (even if I disabled fastboot in MIUI settings), and to access the recovery I used the command provided in the All-in-One toolkit.
I'm not able to use the All-in-One toolkit since the device can't be found while turning on.
So now I'm here with my phone vibrating every 30 seconds or so and that's a bit frustrating...
Do any of you know what to do?
If you need any further information just ask, and sorry for my English, I hope everything is clear.
Thank you in advance
Francesco
P.S.: It is the S4 version.

I'm now having the same problem: exactly I forgot to flash boot.img after flashing the rom, and my HTC One S now seems to be bricked.
Yesterday I could turn it on and go into HBOOT, but when I chose Recovery or Factory Reset it rebooted and after the HTC logo, a warning logo appeared. Now I cannot do anything with this.
Can you pls give me some advise or how I can fix this problem? Many thanks!:good:

That is not a brick lol
That warning logo isn't a big deal. Everyone who has unlocked their bootloader gets it. And seems like you have erased your recovery by selecting "Factory Reset".
1. Download All-In-One Tool kit for HTC One S from the Development forum.
2. Flash a custom recovery. TWRP recommended.
3. Boot into recovery, mount sd card, copy your rom.
4. Flash your ROM.
5. Boot into fastboot
6. flash boot.img
7. Restart :good:

p.s: I tried to flash this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1910738

Did you try to remove the SIM card? Mine was stuck in bootloop and only way it worked for me was to remove SIM card, press power button for 10 or more seconds and it eventually booted into bootloader. hope it work for you...

Bricked (temp hopefully)

Trying to flash the new stock sense 5 rom phone is stuck in a loop that I cant get it out of.
Rogers HTC One XL
hboot 2.14
bootloader unlocked.
Followed this guide to unlocked bootloader.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952038
Copied the stock 4.2.2 sense 5 rom and super su zips onto my sd card.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2423735
Then I booted into twrp and flashed the stock 4.2.2 rom and was prompted to flash super su as well.
flashed both files and reset the phone.
The phone boots up and shows the htc screen, then goes to a black screen.
Holding power down just makes the three softbuttons flash three times, then the phone resets and goes back to the black screen.
EDIT:
I can get into the recovery menu, but everything fails.

once you unlock the bootloader you cannot factory reset in hboot menu anymore.
flash twrp 2.6, wipe sd card on twrp (wipe - advanced), mount, copy rom over, wipe everything except sd card then flash your rom.
if youre s-on you have to extract the boot.img from the rom you flashed and:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Power down. Hold volume down and Power. You're in boot loader. Go to at boot mode and reboot boot loader. Try going to recovery now.

Phone not turning on!

Hi guys!
I have a htc sensation. 2 days ago i had 4ext recovery with vipers 5 rom. I worked without any problems. Than i thought i try out the cm12 rom by ivanich. i saw it needed twrp. I downloaded it and flashed it with flashify. The phone restarted without problems. Than i put the rom and gapps on the sd card, and wiped/flashed it. When i flashed the gapps there was some error. I did a reboot, but the phone doesnt pass the HTC logo. When the htc logo appears it stay on that screen for about 10 secs, than the phone shutdowns and restarts itself and do it again..
When i longpress the volume down and power button, it says it's unlocked, Pyramid pvt ship S-ON rl, hboot-1.27.0000, emmc-boot, jan 13 2012, 17:33:34.
how can i fix it ?
Please help!:crying:
Thanks!

Hello,
Did you verify the md5sum of the ROM you flash?
If this is not correct, then you formate your partitions, full wipe and reflash
and where do i find the md5sum of the rom ( cm11,12 ivanich ) and how i check it? Cause i used to check it with and application from the market. But now that my phone doesnt boot up how can i check it?

there are threads how to make fastboot works on win8.1
search there are many of them
how to flash boot.img :
extract the boot.img from the rom.zip and place it in the folder where you have adb and fastboot installed on your pc
in that folder open a command window and type fastboot flash boot boot.img
remember your device must be on bootloader and select fastboot (your screen should say fastboot usb)
Thanks, finaly booted up!
I used a friends laptop with windows 7.
