Hi there,
Hope it's the right place to ask.
I have HTC Sensation which keeps rebooting randomly.
It doesn't happen while charging.
I tried several roms: viper, revolution etc.. and problem still exists.
tried to change cpu max/min to 384/1188, scale interactive, still happens.
even without external sd...
is there any other thing to check? thanks very much for the help
Try stock ics rom ..or Android revolution hd with stock kernel
If problem persists , then defiantly its hardware fault..

Hi guys,
I have a sensation with an official rom ( HTC Europe 1.45.401.2, kernel 2.6.35.13-g3422292, radio 10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_m ). I made an update to android 2.3.4 and now it's S off et rooted with revolutionay, cw, busy box.
CPU is scaling on demand beetwen 192/1188mhz , i have cpu master. set cpu does not work with my sensation.
Could somenone tell me how to proceed to overclock my cpu ? what kernel ? and so on ....
thank you very much
You need to have a kernel that supports overclocking. There are a few available in the Development forum.
Though I HIGHLY recommend installing a custom ROM, as the performance difference is huge.
Hi, thanks for your answer, I tried an custum rom but it did not work for me ... maybe i did something wrong
I tiried Revolution HD but i did not succed. I have a few questions about this rom.
Is the kernel already included in the custum rom or do i have to flash it again ?
Does someone know if there is a kernel available pour original rom on 2.3.4 ?
thanks

Hi,
Which Revolution HD ROM did you install?
hi, i tried this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849 . i could not overclock
Have you tried the last of Leedroid with V7 ROM and program Overclock Virtuous? I have it and you can play around with the frequencies and see the stats you get with some Benchmark

Hi,
currently that ROM is using stock kernel.
Therefore it is not overclockable.
look in post 2 for any kernels that will allow o/c.
I don't own a laptop but I am rooted, s-off. Is there anyway for me to overclock without having to connect to a computer and flashing something?

I downloaded a setcpu.txt, for setcpu to find frequencies on my phone, flashed a kernel and I was all set. Had the same problem.

How high can you OC? I flashed a kernel but it only allows me to go up to 1512... and for some reason I'm still getting lowish quadrant scoream.. Between 2200 and 2600.... Any ideas on why?
Sent from my Virtuous Sensation overclocked to 1.512ghz... I know... I know....
Quadrant is bs, as well as every other benchmarking app out there.

antutu benchmark is somewhat legit.. atleast it does not output totally different score at the end... like quadrant.
Just flashed Coredroid 2.4 to my Sensation a couple of days ago and it's working great and just wanted to know what Kernels are Compatible with Coredroid 2.4 for the Sensation.
flash Sense 3.5 rom now is the best.
I need to know what kernels will work with COREDRIOD
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I have tried most of them but not the latest ones. For me the bricked kernels were the best of all of them but I eventually reverted to stock.
Remember to always come from a stock kernel before flashing any of the kernels on coredroid for the best results and avoid boot loops. Nandroids are your best friends!!
Have fun!

I did the same, I was running Bulletproof but now I'm on stock.
Bricked kernel is pretty fast and makes everything smooth.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
I always use bricked. Works with most custom rooms out there. I even changed custom rom that bricked kernel doesn' work.
With coredorid 2.4 I use to have bricked 0.91.
Now I 'm trying latest insertcoin with latest bricked after energy with 0.91.
Why did you guy's go back to the stock what was wrong with the other kernels
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I'm not sure what their probs were but mine would freeze up (white screen w\ Htc logo). I personally would stay with stock no probs to speak of with it.
I've been running CoreDroid since ver 1.4.
To install the stock kernel do I just download it and flash it?

Didn't you do a nandroid backup as i told you?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
Haha lol I did but it still shows max frequency at 1.8ghz but runs at 1.5 even if set CPU is on 1.8 I'm now on 2.1 GHz using profiles makes phone faster and also saves battery if using profiles properly butt how do I go complete to stock kernal where on quadrant it shows 1.5 without having to run ruu Just wondering but I'm lovin the kernal
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
what rom are you on and do you want the pure stock
some OP pages of custom roms may list it
or pull it from an ruu
or there is a stock nandroid floating around, maybe in the ruu thread, that you can extract it from
axiom has a v01s one I believe would be close to stock
running it now
check trickdroid 6.1 OP flashable script stock kernel
I'm running virtuous v09x I do not want to go back to stock everything by running ruu tbh I don't want to go back to stock kernal but atleast I have option if I want to
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
not saying run the ruu, just get kernel if possible from it or from a stock nandroid in ruu thread
but trickdroid 6.1 has one in OP
Its impossibile that you got The same kernel if you did a nandroid backup before flash The custom kernel..

I did though honestly no worries I'm liking the custom kernal and ill run ruu if I need to go back

I'm currently using android revolution hd 6.7 with stock kernal, iv also just upgraded my battery to a 1900mah one. also iv just flashed the undervolt mod to -100. So should I flash the bricked kernal ? And what kinda settings should I select ? I don't know what I'm selecting at all
Any advice ?
Oh I was currently getting around 12hrs of life

I would say yes to flashing bricked, and basically keep all settings at default.
How much screen on time ?

I have been looking high and low for a solution to my freezing problem but i still have no luck. My phone constantly freezes especially when watching Youtube videos. It would warm up freeze then reboot, but not a successful reboot, I would have to take the battery out and leave it to rest for a couple of minutes.
I'm not happy with this phone anymore, too much frustration for what my head can handle
Any ideas on how i could fix this

It will wipe and reflash the firmware and drivers, which would fix the issues if it has to do with that.

Newest version of my kernel has a rebooting issue that I fixed in the source code but I have not made a new kernel release yet (been busy with CM10.2). Flash r23 of my kernel and there shouldn't be any more reboots.
I regret releasing r24
