Wondering if I can get some HTC One S (S4) users to say what they're favorite ROM is and maybe say what you like about it versus others.

AOKP is good too, but it's behind CM10 in development. Most of the other custom ROMs seem quite amateurish and unpolished, no offense to the developers.
Can't say anything about others but 'JellyBam' version (3.3):good: is AMAZING, very fast/smooth and for S4 One S devices so thats all I can say for now. lol

baked blackbean6 is probably the best out here in the jb 4.1.1 branch
to bad that probably will never see blackbean7 for jb 4.2

I just the latest nightly build of CM10 and its great, project butter is definitely present! After running a few benchmark test i notice that CM10 "apparently" runs slower than stock ICS with since overlay. Haven't used it enough to talk about the battery life in comparison to stock either.
I just simply want to ask is there a reason that CM10 runs slower than stock?

It is missing hardware vsync. Apparently while working on what broke the builds since 10/12 they have made significant progress towards hardware vsync unexpectedly.

I'm trying to find some of the old good ROMs and all links seem to be down. Namely I was hoping to find TDJ's darkside sense, faux123's orangeglacier, and any of the gingerbread sense ROMs that were stable. I went back to Royal Ginger a while back and while I love it for the most part, but the camera feels like it uses about 20 pixels to create an image.
Does anyone have these stashed away that could maybe upload them to a file sharing site for me?
I would greatly appreciate it.
Orical might have them. PM him. Also, you might try Insert Coin. It's a pretty good GB Sense ROM. I never had a single issue with it.
Ordered my Nexus 4 on Nov. 13th. Still waiting.

Hey guys got the update from re-flashing the ICS WWE RUU and checking for update, in the process i extracted this 3.17.707.1 OTA. So here it is guys.....
Thanks guys,
Thanks to Newt for getting me to searching, originally was looking for something to use to fix camera and found the update originally from here:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-x/236534-htc-one-xl-jelly-bean-updates.html
for those that know what they are doing, here is the boot.img
DOWNLOAD:go ahead, try and flash in TWRP cause trust me, isn't going to work........this is for the devs.(not me)
Thanks to ieftm for the download...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35638054&postcount=35
So i found a RUU for this update.....But i wouldn't advise running it, May be un-rootable for awhile, use at your own risk.......its located here: http://kuai.xunlei.com/d/gle.CwJUsQA.59ZQf97?p=130500
FLASH THIS FOR ROOT TO STICK ON JB SENSE ROMS ONLY
Thanks to AbsolutelyGrim for the this Kernel...
Here's the insecure kernel for root access
http://tinyw.in/zNBE
flash it in fastboot.. i didnt bother making a flashable zip ----(fastboot is better anyways)
As soon as you get this up, I'll look into getting it rooted and flashable.
Does this update good for the AT&T One X?

Well there is no best ROMs. It is all preference. Also, saying what is the best ROM is against the rules. I suggest looking in the development sections and scrolling thru. No one here is going to tell you what to flash. If you like viper just five it go. If you want clean ROM then flash it.
A perfect example is the fact I stopped liking sense, but you may still want to stick with it. Get my point?
