hii i am new to this forum currently i am using galaxy tab2 P3100 and i want to flash Sungsoni HD in my tab just i want to know did i need to root my tab as i haven't done up to now or can i directly do it by using CWR 6.0.2.7 in mobile odin i have been working on this since afternoon to know all these even i don't know what op means and came to know later and downloaded all the required software's so please help me out i will specify you what i have gathered to do these just correct me if any wrong
1.odin3 1.85
2.CWR 6.0.2.7 from http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager website and i have compressed to .tar file
3.Sungsoni HD.zip
if i need to root my tab before flashing i have downloaded that one as well from http://www.cursed4eva.com/root-galaxy-tab-2/
you can check video as well in that post actually it was done by using CWR 6.0.1.0

by the way i have updated my tab to JB 4.1.1 through ota....

Yes u need to be rooted and provided one official custom recovery installed in ur tab....

Did you verify your download? Check MD5 sums of the zip on your device.
What version of cwm do you have?
Try to flash another cwm as 6.0.1.0
Make sure you have cwm 6 not 5 for jb roms as cm10

Did you try the steps already recommended on that thread? Using odin to flash stock firmware up to DDLF2?

Plz mention the steps that you did before you facing this problem.
Have you tried to root your device?
Then which cf-root you used. Because there are different cf-root for different firmwares flashing a wrong one may land you in trouble. So to understand what happened for the guys to help you. You need to give more details

My gaaxy sl is indian version, it's baseband version DDKP4.
I connect my galaxy sl with odin v1.85, download cf-root version bagaria-09.GT-I9003_PDA.tar from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351056 and try to flash.
Its shows PASS in the Odin, afterthat it reboot but cannot start normally, it only shows boot logo.
i tried to go recovery mood, but i can't. it only goes in download mood.. plz help me. plz.

Okay. Since you are able to access download mode. So first flash xxkpe stock firmware through Odin. I guess you would be knowing how to do that, if not in this forum it has been mentioned some where in the forum how to do that.
Below I give brief details but if you want detailed ones then Plz check the forum.
Xxkpe :
First you need to partition your device using lanton pit through odi n. Once done you get blank screen remove your battery and then reinsert and then go to download mode.
Then select the corresponding files in odin
MODEM---FILE CONTAINING PHONE
CSC--FILE CONTAINING CSC
PDA--FILE CONTAINING CODE
the other left over for the other file.
Once done then install your stock ddkp4. I would suggest you ddlf2 as it is latest stock one and has some extra features.
Then flash the cf-root universal 14beta fix file through Odin PDA to root the device.
It should be fine then.

my advise.
download ddkp4,and flash with odin.
our universal cfroot is only for GB, i didnt know what version is ddkp4, but GB Is version 2.3 and above.

HI all , i have problem flashing my p6200, i wanna flash it with heimdall, and use the cyanogenmod rom, provided in this forum, but i cannot use the rom that is given in the forum because it's rar and not the one that heimdal uses. So i'm so sorry to ask but since i don'thave permission to write in the propper thread,yet, i thought i could ask someone from the general forum. 10x

Can u tell me which instruction wrote it can be flash using heimdall? Actually u need to flash it via CWM recovery...here step i giv u
1- make sure ur tab rooted n got CWM
2. Put Rom file on ur tab memory
3. Flash that rom via CWM
4. Done
I just giv u step..ofcoz u need to read instruction to get ur tab rooted, how to get CWM, how to flash rom...GOOD LUCK !

No i know how to flash, i've just never flashed trough heimdall nor i have flashed custom roms, i've only used odin and official roms, i've root it once but i had to install new rom cause i've bricked during skype call.
So as i've understood, first i have to root my device, then install clockwork recovery and then after that i have to install the cyanogemod.

Actually its: first you have to root the device, then install clockwork recovery and then after that you may install the cyanogemod. it's optional after the CWM installation.

I got it, i've just never flashed custom rom to android device, i've allready rooted the tablet, i just wanna ask after instaling the custom clockwork recovery can i get back to original or is this one way option, no turning back.

Root does not give you KK or any rom.
Custom rom decide the one you want first with live download .
Follow its instructions.
Usual is flash custom recovery tar via Odin .
Put custom rom zip on ext sd card and flash through recovery .
