[Q] How to Root

Hello,
I want to root my Samsung Galaxy SII SGH-I727M. i try to root but it failed. i am unable to find the root file for this device. Help regarding this greatly appreciated.

Prefer to use some apps like framaroot, iroot, towel root etc.

Are you sure its a "SGH-i727M" ? I only found models "SGH-i727" and "SGH-i727R".

yes its a SGH- I727m model

Did you try Kingo root? I think it will probably work for your device..

The list there is very outdated.... I've rooted a lot devices that weren't on that list. Just give it a try it won't bite.

If this won't work then you probably have a CFAR...
But i need a screenshot of your device info in order to try to help you.

I need to install lollipop in my device what is the next step to follow as i am a newbie so dont want brick my mobile

First you should install a custom recovery and do a backup.
Download TWRP
There's a custom rom for your device but it sounded complicated....
Download Xposed framework if you wanna customize your device!
