So, my galaxy died on me, and its way out of warranty, so i salvaged what i could from its parts. I don't know what to do with the little camera assembly though. Anybody have an idea?

Sell it on ebay for a few bucks?
What made you think your phone was so toast the only thing salvageable was the camera?
Motherboard died. Some kind of liquid got into it, Wont boot or charge.
Careful with the buying/selling posts... take it to PM. On the boards, against the rules.

According to new rules no selling thru pm either, tho makes me wonder how they would monitor that.

Thanks for the reply and willingness to help. If you have a G2x that is even in pieces, but can salvage the antenna jumper cable and connector ends, that would save me. I found the replacement plastic housing part from a cell phone repair and sales place after extensive research, but Ebay doesn't have anything. I even emailed a bunch of Ebayers that are selling other internal parts for the G2x, but no one has that particular part. Again I appreciate your reply. My email addy is: [email protected] if you want me to send you a picture of the exact plastic part or antanna cable. I can't post links yet as a newbie.

I have these parts, but I am out of country right now and wont be back until 31st. If you able to wait for until I come back let me know, best way to post a reply here.
Damn bro that sucks I replaced mine with no issues. I had to take it apart again because I left a smudge on the inner screen. Anyways good luck
Nvidia always!
I've just recently opened my own Ouya Forums, and I'm looking for new members to join. I think it's safe to say most of you know what an Ouya is, so I'll spare you the explanation. I'm also giving away an Ouya to one of the first 500 to register!

What's the difference between posting about the competition as the owner, or posting the exact same thing as a casual member?
I could've pretended to be a casual user of the forum, but I thought I might get more support if you all knew I had just started these forums and need help getting the ball rolling.

I've recently made the switch from iPhone to android and i'm still getting used to all of the ins and outs. I've recently seen that snappz market has been shut down unfortunately (side note anyone have another Site?). Is there a way to auto update the cracked apps like the normal apps?

Well hello there, new user who rushed into not only using the xda forums, but also downloading the XDA app and posting without reading the rules!
I believe you are going to be extremely happy with what I have to offer. You see, unlike the above post who just told you to read the rules -although in an indirect way, I'm going to be more helpful and give you the link so you don't have to bother searching!
There it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=530
Now you have to be extremely careful with the following process: anything you do wrong may result in permanent and irreversible damage.
First of all, make sure your mouse is plugged. If not, plug it in. You might need to install drivers. Next, hover your mouse cursor (that little pointer like object on your screen) over the link I just posted above (should be in orange text). As soon as the pointer turns into a hand of some sort, RELEASE YOUR MOUSE STRAIGHT AWAY. This is crucial. Now all you have to do is to click (use the left click button!), and read the rules!
Was that so hard? I most certainly hope not
I also think I should remind you -in a very friendly way- that you have already read and agreed upon these rules. Or should have. Now imagine the cure for all diseases was written in there. You wouldn't want to miss that, huh? I don't think so. So next time, please take a minute of your -certainly precious- time reading the ****ing rules before clicking on that shiny "New Thread" button.
Thanks.

This should be an automated response to any thread that breaks the rules.
now please close this thread and take action against member mex911 for fomenting piracy. That shouldn't be allowed, this is a devs site for God sake!

I pray that you get banned for some time or even permanent would be great that would do good for us. If you are so much into piracy please do me a favour, dont come back and ruin xda. You can pirate apps and have fun there. no need to actually learn something over here. Adios. Love to see someone take action against you
PS : i love you both xD

I know a great site too.
its very popular, i wonder why this isnt closed yet
its: HTTP://ISHALLNOTASKFORWAREZ.JUSTBUY.COM
you get updates, and stuff.
its hilarious, but you can also get movies and books there.
Warez are not only against XDA rules but installing them is just plain stupid. Most contain keyloggers and other info stealing code.
Thread closed and only warning.

[mod edit - no selling on XDA, take it to eBay or another marketplace]
Didnt know if this shouldve gone in the marketplace section because I am not selling it through that.
Doesn't XDA have a rule where you can't post listings of what you're selling?
AFAIK all sales or trades are supposed to go in the marketplace and not in individual device forums.

No selling on XDA. Take your transactions to a more appropriate forum.
I never really was a part of XDA, I joined 2 years ago but I never really put myself in here, I've spent the past week just reading all these shift threads and posts and I swear its just like facebook except without the drama, and now that I want to be a part of the XDA I can't, I need moderator approval or something? I can't quote posts, view certain parts of the site, need to captcha on a lot of things, how do I get "moderator approval"? Is it an XDA thing? Or something specific to the Shifts forums? I would like to be a part of the Shift "family" lol please help

It looks like you have only 4 posts so I think thats the issue. Xda puts limits in on new folks. As you post more you'll find grater access through the site.
Like entire threads or all posts like comments and stuff?
Sent from my PG06100 using xda app-developers app
And sometimes I have a 5 minute posting limit, that says a moderator must approve of my account first, look

I posted a quote from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27147931 a minute ago but I don't see it now. Weird. Anyway this is a great thread and it has in it the restrictions on new users. You need to get up to 30 posts to have the restrictions lifted.
Thank you kindly for that and hey you said you were going to bed, this is valuable Sense 4 time xD

Interesting, I only knew of the ten post limitation to post in the development section... I don't ever remember having limitations, but that was two years ago... I didn't post anything till I knew what I was doing and could help others tho.

~~~Posting Questions~~~
There are some restrictions on your posting ability when you first start here. For your first 7 posts, there is
a captcha prompt and a time limit in between posts. This is mostly to stop spammers from posting garbage
throughout every thread. There is a 2 minute limit between posting and editing your posts. This stops at
30 posts when you go from Junior Member to Member, so read twice, post once.
