Just wondering if anyone else is noticing increased battery drain using 4.2.1 ROMs? Seems like I've lost an hour of screen time, with exactly the same apps and settings!
Regards.

My totally standard (ok i installed lot's of apps) XE is having a problem laterly. When i have good wifi i would like to leave it on so i don't burn my data over the provider. Till recently that was no problem. But nowadays the battery drains fast! At night, when i am not using the phone, the battery use is something around 40-50%, and when leaving wifi of it's 5-10%.
So what's wrong here? Is it configuration? or is it ICS in itsef? or is there osme app that could cause this?
BUMP! anybody cna help me with a solution direction?
I find that the battery life is really bad using recent CM10 nightlies. I'm wondering if this is because of using 4.2 Gapps along with it. Has anyone else had any problems with that? There are always wakelocks, and BetterBatteryStats seems to be sh!t these days as well, as it never gives me any details anymore. I lost over 15% overnight in 7 hours when earlier I would only lose about 2%.
Hey guys, I´ve been using the Acer Iconia Tab A700 for a few weeks now and I am quite happy with it. One thing that bugs me though is the battery drain: The battery, even with heavier use, lasts at least for 2 days or even 3, but that´s not the problem.
It´s not the battery drain while using the A700, it´s the battery drain while nobody is using it which bugs me. Is this normal(because of the high resolution, Tegra 3...)or might this be some bug or application(I have no idea what could cause that since I dont sync automatically and I only keep a limited amount of apps installed+I deactivated a lot of system apps) that causes heavy drain, what are your experiences?
I´m on current stock JB 4.1.1 and not rooted.
Thanks for any advice!
I've never had problem with battery drain using the A700 while it is in standby mode.
Maybe you can check your wifi sleep Policy in wifi settings, maybe it's on.
Or maybe an app background service keeps using a bit of your processing power.
I disabled it now, gonna post if it solves it since I dont see any app that could drain that much battery in standby.
EDIT:Not much of a change, could it be that the reason are my 3 Google-accounts(no automatic sync enabled)?
Hi all,
I just updated my nite to kitkat and I'm noticing a major change in my battery life...
On 4.1.2 I got through the day with no problems but now it seems as if the battery is draining much faster.. I'm getting about 5 hours of screen on...
Anyone else facing a similar situation?
Thanks!

Did you do a full erase full reset? What rom did you install?
Erase the "batterystats.bin" file.
How to reset my battery stats?
If your battery drain problem doesn't go away, try re-flash your ROM & redo the above steps.
Hi everyone,
I've been using Moto Z4 Verizon version with Visible about 1.5 years now, generally speaking without any issues with the stock ROM and no rooting or any other software changes etc.
For the past couple of weeks, I've notice the battery running out faster than the average times I've used before. For example almost %30 of the battery would drain overnight whereas it would only be %3-4 before.
When I check the system battery statistics there is no one specific installed app draining the battery, so I am not sure if the OS background is using the battery more than necessary.
Has anyone have experienced something similar? what would be good trouble shooting steps?
Thank you in advance!

Try putting it into safe mode overnight, if battery drain is reduced it's an app you installed.
