Today,*05:10 PMThread Author ***#1**mtcstle*Posts1 PostsThrough an unfortunate sequence of volume/power key manipulations, my Galaxy Note 10.1 entered "Factory Mode" and won't come out. This is evidenced by a semitransparent panel superimposed upon the "home" screen with a list of hardware information and by a message I saw only briefly during one restart that stated in red, something like "...in Factory Mode... change to user mode before verification". I've done done a "factory reset", goodbye custom settings, but to no avail. Does anyone know how to exit "Factory Mode" on this device? So far, I have followed some reasonably clear directions to root the device. I think I was successful, I've verified that /system/xbin/suis rwsr-sr-x root:root. I read in another forum that if I rooted the machine and edited /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode from OFF to ON, it would correct the problem. If I enter*su*-root "echo -n ON > /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode" I get permission denied. It is perhaps of note that when I*su, my prompt remains "$" although I see a message that the shell has been granted superuser privilege. This "aint my first rodeo". But, it is my first android. Perhaps, I'm not starting a shell with*su?Any help or advice gratefully accepted
This is the first time I have seen such an issue the extreme solution to this i guess would be flash a firmware using odin
BTW which rom were you on???

Don't know where to get the ROM ID, I''ve got Android 4.0.4.I installed COM and rooted the device but so far no real luck. I''ve been trying to edit could edit /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode from OFF to ON but had no luck there either. Where can fInd ROM ans a CMW tutorial?
Just install any rom from Samfirmware or the link in my signature.
Also you need to flash using ODIN the same is also shown in the tutorial which link can be found in my signature.
Once you get your device running we can figure out the balance

OK, yeah. I'm 4.1.1, now. Oddly enough, I retained settings, e. g. wi-fi, and downloads. Although, the device is no longer rooted and while the busybox app is still here, the actual binary is not and since su is gone, it fails to start. Most of all, I still have that annoying information panel superimposed on my home screen. I think I've got to grt a root shell going, :"#" and edit /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode.
the reason you have that is because you installed the rom without doing a wipe and that he reason you have all you apps
Since you are able to boot I would suggest install cwm - root - install titanium - backup all you date - do a complete wipe and format using titanium - boot into download and then install rom
this should work and solve your problem

I couldn't figure out how to do a wipe and format using titanium. I did install CWM, root the device, install titanium and back up my applications. Then I did a wipe / factory reset through CWM and re-installed 4.1.1. I've still got the device information displayed over my home screen. I haven't seen the message again but I think I'm still in "Factory Mode". There has got to be a way out of this. Could I get any help from the factory?
sorry my mistake spell error complete wipe using cwm, pardon me for my mistake

are you on the rom which belongs to the region device was bough it yes then do the following things
Make sure you are not rooted
No custom recovery installed
The binary count is zero if not then you need install triangleaway and reset it
then send it to the samsung or else they will void your warranty

Also when in CWM recovery did you format system, and everthing else except you external sdcard which I would suggest to be safe you should remove

OK, the last time through! I didn't see the options for formatting. I'll go 'round again. If I format the SD card, it will remove my backups! Not so?
Yes when you format you will loose all data the format option should be in mounts and storage
Also go in advance options and do a wipe davlink cache and fix permissions
Also trying to research on you issue just suggest you search for your problem with an S3 or S2 you will find a solution faster because of the number of devices there are and S3 is close to the note
Good advice from Sa mir. They've a solution for their device.

This time I formatted everything, still it came back up displaying machine information in a table on the home page. It's getting on my last nerve. I got into this fix simply by using the stock "wipe & reset" function after several applications began to misbehave. I can't believe it's not a setting or a soft switch somewhere. Do you suppose one of the other forum areas might be a place to look for advice.

Well, I'got busy for a few days but, no luck with the hardware printout on my screen. Can you tell me how to get a root shell on this thing? I've got SU and it seems to work but I keep getting permission denied from my shell. On a similar track, how can I execute a bash shell?

Success, I installed the "Android Terminal Emulator" after rooting the device. This time when I executed su, my prompt changed from "$" to "#" indicating a root shell. Next I did # echo -n ON > /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode. I booted the device and was welcomed by the new user dialogue and a clean unobstructed home screenn.

My last few posts went lost but I did find a solution. After flashing and rooting again, I installed "Android Terminal". Now, when I run $ su, the prompt changes to # as you'd expect. Finally, when I issue #echo -n ON > /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode, the expected result is obtained. Power off / power on, problem solved. I'm back in user mode. Many thanks to Sammir for the illuminating suggestions.
Please help!

Darko454, this looks exaxtly like mine did. As I described, once I installed a better tereminal emulator, and
Super SU, I was able to edit /efs/FactoryApp/factory from OFF to ON. That fixed the problem. Are you familiar with editing files with the "echo" command? If not, let me know, I'll send more detailed inatructions.

Update: I'd recommend using the full update found here instead - it's less likely to fail than this one based on the patch update.
I've managed to build a working RC30 update that retains root via adb shell. Much of the credit goes to the people in this thread. All I did was build an updated boot.img with ro.secure set to 0, and reinsert it into the RC30 update.
Installing it will require the modded RC29 recovery image found in that thread.
A warning: if you've modified any files that are patched in the RC30 update, bad things will happen. Also, I had to disable the version check, so if you attempt to apply the update to anything but RC29, bad things will happen. I'm not responsible if your phone is bricked, bursts into flames, or even starts walking around on it's own and attacks you.
Modified RC30 update
did you have any trouble installing it? I will give it a try later today.
1 question, so theres no root on the phone Only by adb?
Edit:2 questions have you try to put busybox on?
It worked fine for me. Just follow the manual firmware update procedure, and it should work, as long as you're already running the modified RC29.

Yeah, it closes the root console bug. However, once you have root via adb, you can do pretty much anything you want, including create a new suid root shell.
yes thats all i need to know disregard my edit
it dose not work I'm stuck! i got some sort of error
It won't let me mount the SD card... gonna ask in the other thread
What was the error exactly? Did it come at the recovery screen when you first tried to update, or later? Is your phone still working?

Thanks for asking the error was 105, yes later, and yes
and this is what i did
THANK GOD!! for JesusFreke Restore Original RC29 Boot Image.zip. if what happened to me happens to anyone just rename that file up above to update and your golden.
Note: i used it and now i have
kila-user 1.0 TC4-RC30 116143
ota-rel-keys,release-keys
i dont understand... and i sill have root on my phone and busybox, and telnetd exploit still works
maybe i should try it again?
It sounds like the update partially completed for you, since it claims to be RC30, but it failed either sometime before or during the flash of the updated boot.img. boot.img has the fix for the telnetd exploit, which is why it's still working for you after restoring the RC29 version.
If you try to run the RC30 update again, it will probably fail, since some or all of your other files are already updated.
The bad news is, you probably won't be able to install any future updates with the state you're in now. What you probably want to do now is try to figure out how far along in the update script it failed.
If you can download the following files off your phone, and post them somewhere, I'll compare them to the versions in a completely updated RC30 and should be able to get a better idea of where you are.

I can get root through adb shell after this, which is fantastic!
So I try this from adb shell:
cd /system/bin
echo sh > su
chmod 4755 su
But when I run su from the phone's terminal, I don't get a root shell. (reboot gives me a reboot: Operation not permitted.
Any ideas?

thanks, but i wanna help out with those files. and do you know the exact commands to copy(i know cp and"???? ") and to restore mtd3
SORRY........
to restore is this right....
cat /dev/zero >> /dev/mtd/mtd3
flash_system /sdcard/mtd3.img
To copy them to sd card:
cat /system/framework/android.awt.jar > /sdcard/android.awt.jar
cat /system/app/GoogleSearch.apk > /sdcard/GoogleSearch.apk
cat /system/app/Bugreport.apk > /sdcard/Bugreport.apk
I haven't tried this, so I don't know if it works, but to restore system, if you backed it up using the directions in the other thread, should just be:
flash_image system /sdcard/mtd3.img
I wouldn't recommend cat /dev/zero to it first, because flash_image is actually on the system partition.

My buddy got this phone I want to hook it up as he's not great with tech stuff i rooted with z4root and just need to know how to access recovery cause i didn't see a reinstall packages option in standard recovery ? Any help would be awesome thanks guys
I just rooted with Z4root... then I installed Titanium Backup and then ROM Manager, giving both apps root access (which I verified with the SuperUser app). In ROM Manager I did "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" and chose the Fascinate option and was told that it downloaded the latest ClockworkMod Recovery. What's my next step?... Choose "Reboot into Recovery" within ROM Manager or do it another way. (My goal is to install Voodoo5 using the stock ROM for now. I have the Voodoo5 file on the SD card.)
EDIT: Whoops. I just realized that I had downloaded the two files to get CWM working but hadn't followed the unzipping, etc. instructions. I'd better go back and read that CWM thread again...
First get CWM working
Then check out this ROM
Or this ROM
and if you really wanna get fancy check out this kernel
Just in case you screw up
If you need more help on each specific topic, just ask in the appropriate areas and there is usually someone around that can answer questions.
Thanks for the quick links... really appreciate it.
BTW - Titanium Backup asks for USB Debugging to be enabled... do you have to do this? It creates issues for me when connecting the phone as mass storage to my PC.
ALSO - I'm assuming I should take an initial backup with Ti before I get too far into this, right? Not having done a backup before... is Ti the best to use? (Do I just choose batch and pick an option(s)? Does choosing "Backup user apps + system data" backup game save data?) EDIT: Just did this and it ran fine but it switched my Live wallpaper back to stock?!? WTF?

Quick links are awesome! They save time, for sure.
Check the box to ask each time for mass storage and kies. Then you can have debugging enabled, and yes you have to have it enabled or TB won't do it's thing properly. You can switch it back and forth also. That's what I do.
I use TB to do my app and system data backups. Just run a batch backup on user apps and system data, like you said. That's the best option to start with. This isn't the same as a nandroid backup, but it's a good second choice for if you need to wipe data and restore apps quickly like a ROM install that requires you to wipe data/factory reset.

Perfect. Thanks! Only thing is... USB dubugging doesn't stay ticked, it's ticked and Ti says it's not, or the connection still triggers a missing driver error message with Vista on the PC. Oh well.

Nandroid backup will be there once you get CWM working.
You can do everything from the phone, just read down through the pages to find the people that have done it. They have left instructions using terminal emulator and root explorer. You will find that in a lot of instances many problems will have different ways of dealing with them. You probably don't have the Android SDK which is how you get ADB working on your computer. This isn't critical, it just makes it so that you will have to either install it or use the other means available. (ie terminal emulator and root explorer)
Still getting errors after trying several of the things in the thread... Q:I never did get a robot voice when I ran Z4root and never saw a place to choose permanent... should I run Z4root again? I mean, I was able to install Ti, etc. so I must have root, right? But I think my issues stem from not being able to get redbend_ua into the /system/xbin folder. Astro can't paste it there, Root Explorer can't paste it there, but in the terminal it appears like chmod worked... thoughts?

I tried this. Used root explorer to finally get redbend_ua into system/xbin but when I try to run the commands in the post it cannot find redbend_ua. I also cannot cd into xbin within the emulator to ls ... says xbin not found. Explorer can see it there... what gives? do you have to restore redbend_ua inside the xbin directory or will it work to restore it elsewhere?

Isn't there anyway to flash a rom using odin ? If not are the codes the same for terminal emulator as they are for adb to get cwm working? I've never flashed a ROM using Odin, but that doesn't mean that it can't be done. The process should be the same using terminal emulator or adb, just more of a pain. I agree it would be nice to have full CWM Recovery support (or any full recovery support) but I don't have the money to spend on a phone to send to Koush right now to get that done. As soon as I do, this will be done and then I'll have a tester phone for firmware builds. It really isn't that difficult to get it working, though. I've done it probably 30-40 times now and even the first time the only flub was in a typo for the second to last character (thought it was a 1 and not an L)
So you type this stuff in all in one line or what?

Hi,
i was trying to change the /system permissions using adb shell... commands shown in the attached screenshot
my main purpose was to install CWM for which we need to push modified recovery into /system/bin which requires rw permissions....
to do that i used the command chmod 6 /system from root and then tried to mv recovery file from sd root to /system/bin but that failed
when i checked the /system attributes using stat -c %A /system it returned "d------rw-"
after that i tried to mount the system from shell command but failed... then the phone got hanged and when i removed the USB cable it rebooted straight into recovery...
since the ive tried to check directory listing with adb ls /system command but it returns nothing... adb ls /data also shows only 3 files... i had taken a backup of /system using adb pull but i dont knw how much that'll help...
i did not take any backups before that... was trying to install CWM so that i could take rom backup....
im not able to boot the phone normally...
i would like to know if i can go back to original state?? if not is ther any other solution like flashing a new ROM or something...??
i would like to extract contacts nd messages if possible...
System config:
- Samsung Galaxy S 4G... everything stock
- Rooted!!
thanks in advance...

'chmod 6 /system' did what you asked it to do. chmod, on a basic level, uses three (3) sets of permissions: global, group, and user. What you effectively did was set the user permissions to rw but blanked out everything else (like chmod 006).
If you can get into the shell, do this:
chmod 755 /system
That should put it back the way it was (7 = rwx for global, 5=rx for group, 5=rx for user)
See if that helps. Report back and let me know.
Real quick; I had my permissions backward. Although you still want 755 it should've read like this:
rwx for user
rx for group
rx for global
I had them backward.

I was worried about something like that. My guess is that your best bet is to see if you can get into download mode and flash a new ROM. Were you on Froyo or GB before? If you were on Froyo & you're trying to get to GB you'll need to insure you flash a ROM with the right boot loaders first, like chadster's KG4 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183413).
Let me know if I can be of help.
I was worried that I would have to flash a new ROM. Not that i mind doing it but ive not backed up anything!! I'd atleast like to see my contacts somewhere... let me know if that's possible...
So there's no other way to come out of this deadlock??
Im on Froyo... If its possible to roll back to stock Froyo it'll be great... If not i'll go for GB... Ive nothing against GB but i'd like to be sure everything works the way it was b4...
Its great to know you have and understanding of my problem... thanks mate...

If your contacts were set to sync with Google or your carrier, then they will sync back to your phone after you flash. Given you were on Froyo, you can grab one of the Froyo ROMs from the bible (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117554). Those will likely be rooted, deodexed, or something along those lines. If you want pure stock, you can grab that from samfirmware.com. You'll have to register to navigate to the firmware, though. I'd post a link but it wouldn't work right. Just go to the 'mobile' link and look for the SGH-T959V stuff. Either way, KD1 was the latest Froyo out there from Samsung.
Yup... I'll check on samfirmware.com..
sad abt contacts cuz dint sync the latest ones with google...
anyway i'll try the other method...
thanks..
Sorry man. Best of luck to you. Let me know if you get it fixed.
hi stephen_w,
I downloaded the T959VUVKD1 firmware from samfirmware.com....
I used odin to flash it...
after switchin on the phone in download mode... i flashed the firmware by browsing the file in PDA and leaving PIT, BOOTLOADER, Phone and CSC blank...
the process started and after cache.fs... below it was message:Complete(Write) operation failed.... it stopped nd showed fail in red...
i held the power key for a long time but then it started to show a phone linked to the computer with a yellow exclamation sign...
what does this mean?? im not able to boot into either recovery or download mode now...
please help...
ODIN will still see it when it looks that way, so don't fret! I had similar issues before but mine was a faulty download. Try using this one. It's not 100% stock as it's been deodexed, but it should work:
http://www.multiupload.com/7L5YDG8X8V
Ya im downloading tat one... Odin is detecting nd working... so i guess re-flashing should do the trick...
Jus to confirm I should leave fields other than PDA blank rite?
Yes, PDA only & let ODIN decide what should be checked.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Up and running jus like b4...
Thanks bro...
No worries; glad you're working again!
Im not stupid and i no how to read, just with this phone being kinda hard it took awhile to find the correct guide to downgrade and root.
i decided to follow this one, being updated this month
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/TM...l_Update_Guide#Rooting_the_TMobile_myTouch_4G
is this the correct one to use, cause i dont want to use the visionary app. heard that can be bad news
I also checked the emmc chip thru terminal emulator. and were good to go on that.
Ive already downgraded mt4g back to froyo.
but when copy/ paste commands for perm root, s off, h boot, when i paste line for su
it says failed, file is read only
everything still good with phone, i just want root and cwm
any help, would be appreciated and thanked
1) There's nothing wrong with Visionary or gfree. Don't be afraid.
2) cd to the directory of the file you're trying to run and chmod 777 the file. For instance, if the file was root.sh
chmod 777 root.sh
i remembered reading somewhere that using the visionary app can cause problems with lots of aggravation afterward.
and the phones not mine, im rooting it for a friend. ive rooted quite a few devices already but this is my first htc.
origionaly i ran the command at
C:\android sdk\platform-tools
all the command i had no problem with except when trying to push su
so are you saying i should change to
cd c:\android sdk\platform-tools\su>adb push su /sdcard/ ???
orginally i got back
failed to copy 'su' to '/sdcard//su': read-only file system
is it refering to my comp or android as read only file system?

I repeat, Visionary is fine.
Android.
I just used visionary today to root my wife's phone. I had to go through the whole downgrade process to get back to 2.2, and everything went very smooth. Now running JB from the codename thread and couldn't be happier with it.

Battery life is shaky on that rom, if you want to get the most out of your phone with jellybean, flash the CM10 port by 0.0 or Dark JellyBellyG1. Make sure to clear your batt stats before flashing darkjellybelly because codenamed messes with them.

Hmm, a full wipe didn't work for me. I got off Codename and went back to insertcoin which i KNOW has awesome battery life and got mediocre battery life, not really different from Codename. Don't even nag me about the full wipe because I did it! lol.

Flash at 100% and drain it down then recharge. Battery life should normalize after that.

So I still don't no what I'm doing wrong. I've successfully downgrading.and when using visionary.apk. it says unknown user root. After entering su in terminal emulator. I've tried visionary11 and 14 and a plusversion. All with same results. R/W is checked and hit temp root
I've never had this much trouble rooting any tab or phone

I already have USB debugging enabled, fastboot off. And I restart pull out battory, and even tried uninstalling visionary and reinstaling. There has to be something I'm missing. And just to verify I did downgrade to 2.2.1

Do a factory reset maybe, just to clean the slate.
factory reset is your best bet dude..! save all your data from your memory card onto your computer or something and format your memory card as well. then do a complete factory reset. it really does solve issues. but ofcourse, it's always a pain recustomizing your phone but yea...!

Hi guys,
I've been reading you for a while, but this is actually my first post.
Currently stuck with a "Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped" on my tablet, with no access to any menus except my Settings. The menu bar (back, home and multitasking) is now gone. I've got my keyboard to navigate, but something in the display is also quite wrong, image seems to be zoomed, or set at the wrong resolution. Tried to search on the forum, but all posts found were not about the same rom or the same issue. Sorry if I missed one.
Here's a little background story:
I've rooted my TF300T about a month ago and installed Hydro 4.1. It has been working very well since then, but in the last days, I thought that my tablet felt a little slower than usual, so I started searching if an update to 4.2 was available.
I'm not sure if this is what caused the issue or not, but I went into my "Power button" menu and went into "Recovery" mode (instead of Shutdown, reboot, etc.), which then restarted my unit into TWRP menu.
I then selected the "System" submenu and simply touched "Reboot". (terms might not be exact). At the first reboot, I got the problems that I described.
Can't do much, popup keeps appearing on my screen. I haven't tried yet to clear the cache of my Launcher, which I'm trying to avoid as I would prefer to avoid rearranging 5 pages of icons, but between that and reinstalling everything, obviously I prefer to simply lose my display preferences.
Can anyone help me about what caused my issue, and what can I do now?
Here are 2 screenshots that I took, showing that my bottom menu is missing and that the fonts aren't set right (clock and left icon). Also, my notifications menu now appears near the middle of my screen.
EDIT: I unfortunately cannot post links yet
I remember installing an app (with root access) that gave me a menu about my resolution. One thing that I'm wondering, could it be that the resolution got changed and I simply never rebooted since the change, which now caused my Launcher to crash? How can I launch an app without having access to the app menu?
Thanks in advance for your help.

What you describe is likely caused by changing the resolution. Are you still running hydro 4.1?
You can likely recover by replacing your build.prop or editing the one you now have. build.props are usualy rom specific so you need one from the rom you are using.

Yes, still using Hydro 4.1. I do have a build.prop editor installed on my tablet, but since I can't launch app, I don't know how to do it.
I'll try to connect the tablet to my PC and see if I can get access to my file from there.
Thanks!

I'm presently downloading 4.1 hydro to retrieve the build.prop. If you unzip it the build.prop is /system/build.prop also located there on your tab. I have another fifteen minutes to download if you wish for me to supply the file!

We should be able to push with adb, set permissions, and reboot.
---------- Post added at 04:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:36 PM ----------
http://www.mediafire.com/?tk3cifzci0vw24e
place the build.prop from the zip file into the directory with fastboot.
Open terminal or cmd in the directory with fastboot.
Boot into twrp – twrp provides adb access by default.
Use twrp mount menu and check mount system.
Then type
adb push build.prop /system/build.prop
adb shell chmod 644 /system/build.prop
in twrp reboot system
type
adb kill-server

Ok, my Fastboot folder is currently at the root of my C drive on my PC
I entered your command and got after the first one "adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
error: device not found
FYI, before I got your last post, I used Android commander to push the build.prop that I still had on my PC when I installed the custom hydro 4.1 rom.
After my reboot, I got the Asus logo, than a black screen that does nothing.
I then rebooted in Fastboot and followed your instructions.
So now, it seems that my pc doesnt see my tablet anymore when in TWRP. is this normal? Do I need to restart it after checking "Mount system"?

Slowdown, I'm getting behind. I'm willing to help but you are now worse off than before.
Sit tight for five minutes and I'll try to give you a twrp flashable zip for your build.prop and hope that is the extent of the damage.
If not we'll try to go from there.

This is a twrp flashable zip that only replaces your build.prop with the one from hydro 4.1.

Alright, I'll wait for your answer before trying anything else.
So now, I've got your latest .zip file.
Still can't see my TF300T from my PC, so, ADB is a no go for now.
In fact, I do see it in the Device Manager, but since my last reboot, it now shows an exclamation mark on it as if my drivers weren't good.
Since you mentioned the file is a flashable zip, I'm guessing that I can flash it using TWRP without going through my PC?
Can you give me precise info on that, since I do not want to mess with my system more than I already did.
Thanks

Yep, that's the file I was talking about.
I now need to flash and reboot, your file is at the root of an SDcard in my TF300T, I go through the Install menu and then, can't seem to view the content of my sdcard. Tried to mount it first but can't select it either, it will simply stay on "Internal Storage".
EDIT: The RCK icon is the only one right now that boots me into something. If I try the USB icon, it just stays on that screen forever.
Trash the two zips you have downloaded. I'm providing a new one for when we get back to that point. And there will be no doubt about which zip you are using.
http://www.mediafire.com/?hagehu5qu5ky6sf
OK. First I'll explain your earlier comment about adb being old. Twrp expects a recent adb or refuses to allow adb access ( we'll not worry at the moment about that but it is something you need to address later (I hope).
If you have a cord between your tablet and pc remove it. The sdcard may be mounted as data on the pc and not allow twrp to mount it.
You have been using this sdcard prior to this exercise?
Do you have any backups or flashable zips or anything of that nature on your internal sdcard?
If so what?

Zips trashed, kept only the one provided in your latest answer.
No cord between PC and tablet. Still unable to click on "Using external SD" or "Mount SDCard". It simply won't let me check the box or switch the bullet.
As for using this SDcard before, yes in a PC, but no, first time in my Asus. Also tried with another one just in case and same result.
As for backups and flashable zips, I kept everything from when I did my root and rom install.
I do know that I have a backup in the Restore menu of TWRP, which seems about the time I installed it. I suppose I could simply do a restore and avoid additional headaches, but my question is, what exactly will it restore? At this point, I'm mentally prepared to go back to what I had after installing Hydro 4.1, as long as I can use the tablet ASAP.
Asap = restore your backup.
If I'm restoring a different rom I'll wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache, and Factory Reset. If the backup is from the same rom I'm flashing and I want to keep the apps I have Installed since the backup I won't Factory Reset.
Good Luck!

So, I did the restore, and I'm up and running, but, no more Hydro 4.1. I guess my backup was probably what got done right before the installed it.
The good thing is, my tablet is working again and my root is still active. The bad part is that I'm gonna have to dig my head again in all the tutorials and try to find the best one.
Hey, I wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help, if it wasn't for guys like you, newbies like me would be stuck with useless thin computers.
