You may want to try the Energy ROM. It's based off of T mobile 2.35 software.
In the alternative you can try aosp ROMs like Jellybam. I think that should work.. Not 100 percent sure though.

Jellybam is the one I want to use. I will give it a try. But would like someone to confirm that it works

It works great! Amazing ROM. You can use it as a daily driver.
Just make sure to also fastboot flash the boot.img from the ROM seperately. Or try Fusion 3.1 custom kernel. So after flashing the rom, go back into bootloader and fastboot the relevant boot.img (can be extracted from the rom zip itself).
If you are coming from stock or from a SENSE based ROM, you will need to do this since SENSE kernels are not compatible with AOSP type ROMs.
So just follow the download instructions in the development thread about Jellybam. I find battery life is OK, but not as good as say, using a plain old ICS ROM with Zarboz's custom SENSE kernel.
Thanks for the tips.I have flashed ROMs before with this phone and had no problems. But I went back to stock with a ruu and don't understand why it is such b---h to get new ROMs WiFi to work. I have been reading for days and no real answer.. About to flash jellybam and will hope for the best......

The WiFi works on jellybam . once again thanks

Got it to work again. Everything is going great. Jellybam is an excellent rom
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
All ROMs will work except the Stock Jellybean ROMs which need you to flash WiFi partitions. You have the 1.14 hboot which won't let you flash those partitions and hence no WiFi.
Downgrade your hboot and you will be fine..

Jellybam battery life is not that great can anyone suggest a cm10 based or asop rom that has good reviews and battery life. What about pa 2.56.

Hi. I have unlocked bootloader, cwm recovery and I'm s-on. I can't change to s-off becouse of hboot version. Witch rom will be the best for speed and stability+gaming
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
For best aesthetics and performance, any AOSP ROM will do. Personally, I recommend CM7
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Sent from my HTC Desire S
Can I use cm7 to if I have s-on??
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
yes, you can. Although you'll need to flash the boot.img separately.
Why I need to flash boot image separately ? I can't just use rom manager to downlaod and instal??
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
sadly,no. You are not completely s-off (and you can't be s-off on new HBoot). You can flash ROM any way you want, but it won't boot until you flash the boot.img via fastboot.
Why always it is so complicated? ?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Sire it may be complicated at first, but it is really worth rooting and using a custom ROM.
They are x10 better than stock in every way

How is it not 'healthy for the phone'
doesn't make sense at all. Doubt there will be a new way to unlock it.
You'll just be on stock forever

Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Well, I haven't tries myself to downgrade, so can't say.
Your decision. Do lots of reading before hand.
Its worth it though

I wasn't so hard but yes I made some mistakes in process wrong commands and I forgot to relock bootloader and I couldn't ruu old version. Now I'm all done and wana ask for the rom, witch is good and stabile
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Depends what your after mate
Do you like Sense, or do you want to try ICS? Or maybe pure 2.3 AOSP ROMs?
-------------------------------
Sent from my HTC Desire S
Ilike ICS but they are are not pretty complete, I want to try that CM 7 but there poeples saying it has SMS delay and I'm a big tiper. ICS only when they will implemente hardware acceleration
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
I've used cm7, oxygen and miui.us all are pretty good and stable but I prefer miui.us looks nice and it all works. Battery life and performance is good too.
Sent from my Desire S using xda premium
SMS delay? None here
Be sure to use the latest stbale build. Not nightlies if you want a bug free experience

When you first flash a ROM, your battery will drain faster on the first few charges
Try calibrating your battery. After that your battery should get much better

Didn't you do a nandroid backup as i told you?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
Haha lol I did but it still shows max frequency at 1.8ghz but runs at 1.5 even if set CPU is on 1.8 I'm now on 2.1 GHz using profiles makes phone faster and also saves battery if using profiles properly butt how do I go complete to stock kernal where on quadrant it shows 1.5 without having to run ruu Just wondering but I'm lovin the kernal
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
what rom are you on and do you want the pure stock
some OP pages of custom roms may list it
or pull it from an ruu
or there is a stock nandroid floating around, maybe in the ruu thread, that you can extract it from
axiom has a v01s one I believe would be close to stock
running it now
check trickdroid 6.1 OP flashable script stock kernel
I'm running virtuous v09x I do not want to go back to stock everything by running ruu tbh I don't want to go back to stock kernal but atleast I have option if I want to
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
not saying run the ruu, just get kernel if possible from it or from a stock nandroid in ruu thread
but trickdroid 6.1 has one in OP
Its impossibile that you got The same kernel if you did a nandroid backup before flash The custom kernel..

I did though honestly no worries I'm liking the custom kernal and ill run ruu if I need to go back

As of right now I can't load any Rom except for venom. I don't know what is stopping my phone from working.
Background, dropped phone in the toilet, dried it out and everything worked. Went to change roms and something got messed up during the install which cause the phone to have no Os and no usb support. Got all of that straight, reloaded the phone back to stock, rooted it again, unlocked it, and loaded venom.
I have tried to load other roms but it will install in recovery but after reboot it will stay on the loading screen for the rom.
Any help will be great. Thanks!

You have to flash the boot.img
Hate to sound like I haven't been doing this for a while but where do I get the boot.img?

*facepalm* all roms have there own boot.img. if you open your Rom you'll see what says boot. That is it and you go into fastboot and flash it or use the flash gui app

Thanks. I only ask because I have never had this issue before.

Venom has a way of flashing the boot.img for you...but otherwise since you're on hboot 1=14 you have to manually flash the boot img....dont worry that's why were here to help!

Unfortunately it sounds like when you reflashed to stock you upgraded the hboot, which in turn makes it so you have to flash the boot.img through fastboot. It's unfortunate, but there is a JET tool if you're experienced in Linux to downgrade your hboot. but, like I said, don't do it unless you're confident.
Thanks guy. I got it to work with the flash GUI. Back to clean Rom!

There is no "official" stock Rom..."official" would be an RUU...what carrier do you have? If T-Mobile, does your phone have a crap load of extra T-Mobile junk apps on it? If not, he probably installed a Rom based on the 4.1.1 leak, which could be a few different roms here. What does it say under Settings, About, Software Information? Do you still have a custom recovery?

looks like you are on the virtuous ville+ rom
which is based on the leaked ruu for the one s se aka ville+ which explains your signature "sent from htc one s special edition"
if you look at the screenshots in the thread and the build number etc. you will see that its identical to yours.
if you are on stock rom your build number should be
3.16.401.8 (for the unbranded rom)
so, no, you are not on stock rom.
I am using Albino's CM10.1 Android 4.2.2 ROM, which works great. However, my GPS is not working. I've tried a bunch of apps from Google Play to try and resolve this issue but no luck. Is there a way to directly check the GPS hardware itself to determine if it is broken?
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
Hi,
Very weird that you have a hardware problem.
You should make a cwm backup and flash a sense ROM like Mike's ARHD o elegancia.
if it works
Sent from my GT-P1000
If you want to check a hardware problem I would suggest you to try some stable rom like Stock,RevolutionHD,ViperS or Revelation to see if your gps works on some of them.Don't forget that CM10.1 versions are steel in testing mode.
Thanks guys. I'll give the alternate ROM approach a try...
