Before you install CM10.1: Preparation (First three are optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)
Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
Boot into recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
WARNING: Many apps will Force Close crash if you restore data from a previous ROM.
Install:
Use CWM5, CWM6 or TWRP.
Wipe data and cache.
Flash ROM zip
Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM10.1 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
Reboot phone.
After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
Warning: Do not restore backup of system apps
Upgrades
Upgrades from previous versions of CM10.1 are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between CM10.1 versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data.
FAQ
1-) No dev settings? No Performance options? Where is it?
- Easter egg in 4.2. You have to go into About Phone and tap Build Number 7 times.
2-) It won't boot into recovery. What the hell man?
- Turn off touch key sounds.
3-) Why doesn't data work?
- Turn on Airplane mode then off.
4-) Mass storage isn't working. How do I fix this?
- Go to Settings -> Storage -> Tap on menu button -> Connection -> Choose mass storage.

Flashing gapps made the phone slower than it should be. Thought I should warn everyone.
Edit: Ah nope sorry. It was just a momentary thing after boot.
Edit2: Yeah... It did make it slower. Lags a bit with gapps.

Great! My phone with 4.1 Jelly Bean loses 1% of battery every 2 minutes.... I'm so bored!
Great that you've released a build for CM10.1
I have a few questions:
How important is HW acc? Will games run much slower etc? What if Qualcomm never releases their libs?
Why does this rom have ~5 MB less memory then ivendors cm10? The camera isn't even working so shouldn't there be a lot of more memory in this rom?

HW acc is pretty important actually. HW acceleration means that the GPU helps out instead of the CPU doing everything. 3D games lag a bit on this because Qualcomm hasn't released their libs for 4.2. They said they would release it soon 2 months ago :/.
It has less memory because of arco's latest changes in his sources. It makes it much stabler so it is a good thing. If any of you want I can make it bigger but I don't see the point. I can also add governor's and some modifications to the kernel but I think it would be best to keep this stock.
Sound isn't working...
Can anyone confirm?

*/
I compiled this from source, using my own device tree, modified to cope with the need of cyanogenmod.
As always, an overclockable, stable and speedy kernel is included.
Why did I build this ?
Because the current (official) CM10 releases are way to unstable and sluggish to be usable.
I reviewed their code on GitHub and noticed many outdated libraries as well as an outdated kernel.
I even added on some more features, like full dock support !
You do have:
Dock battery symbol in the navbar
Dock battery percentage in the navbar
Fully working lid system (when you close the lid, the device goes to suspend mode, like it does in asus releases)
Fully working CyanogenMod reboot menu - reboot to recovery option does that exactly.
WORKING:
Android 4.1.1 system
WiFi
GPS
Sound
Bluetooth
Full H/W acceleration
OMX
Rotation
VooDoo Sound Improvements
External SD Card
Overclocking up to 1.6 GHZ
CIFS/TUN/XPAD/FF-MEMLESS modular support
Dock function keys are 100% functional !
NTFS automounting does finally work !
No more greyish overlay when browsing forums, etc !
HDMI Audio [b2]
Bluetooth Audio [b2]
New CM10 bootanimation [b2]
Use all LINARO optimizations (rom) [b2]
Enhanced SIO (Simple I/O) Scheduler [b2]
Fully reworked kernel with better 2D/3D performance, undervolting support, RR and SOD fixes [b3]
Added governors: lazy, lionheart, lulzactive [b3]
New DAC audio filter and WM8903 codecs - better noise reduction [b3]
Kernel fix to invert the ASUS-inverted lid control - thanks K900 [b3]
Tweak: raymanfx_services init.d script - gives you cifs/tun/modules access and mounts the system R/W [b3]
Static Voltage Scaling (SVS) to support undervolting through apps - Use 'Voltage Control' from play store [b4]
Rotation (was broken because of K900's new fix, now fixed again) [b4]
Increased voltages (1.5 GHZ & 1.6 GHZ stable again) [b4]
1080p playback improvements (some codecs may stutter more than others) [b4]
Fixed a bug when changing governors [b5]
CyanogenMod upstream changes [b5]
kernel improvements [b5]
Android 4.1.2 (JZO54K) [v6]
Since this is stable enough, we move away from beta version names. Current and later versions will be named (v#), # being the version number [v6]
Better memory management, hopefully fixing that strange lockscreen bug some users were having [v6]
Performance inprovements [v6]
Linux 2.X kernel upstream updates [v6]
CM10 updates - THANKS to gierdo for providing this, built from my sources! [v7]
FIXES:
WiFi wake issue
Code:
settings
wifi
use the drop down menu which is found by tapping the additional options in the top right corner of the screen and select "advanced"
tap on the "keep wifi on during sleep" option
select "always"

So is this considered a "better" release than your AOSP release? What's different?
Overclock to 1.6, so i assume kernel is included. How about gapp, do we need to flash it after flashing the rom?

Yeah, my homebrew kernel is included, but I started it from scratch, just for a stable, exclusive CyanogenMod 10 release !
Since this is a aftermarket firmware (anything other than pure vanilla AOSP is) I am not allowed to include the Google Apps.
Download them and flash them manually.
Sweet finally a stable release, I have had my tf101 since launch but havent rooted yet but I want to with this release.
Just to be sure, I enter recovery, I flash the CWM v6.xxxx posted, and then I'm able to flash this through cwm?
Also is it advisable to just start fresh or is backing up and reloading apps with titanium gonna cause problems?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!! I've been wanting an actually fully working cm10 and have been dealing with the barely supported offical cm10
That's a great news actually, I will try as soon as possible. I really like CM but the actual is really bad. Do you plan to submit your device tree to the official CM sources?
Well, thanks a lot! =)
i just booted up and my only problem...if a problem..is that is uses the old boot animation
Downloading now. Will report anything!! Thanks!!
Looks like they still haven't fixed the notification bar since the last nightly I tried, any way you can take a look at it ray. Thx for the ROM as always.

I know from my last look at the TF101 changes on CM Gerrit that the last changes for the TF101 where 1+ months ago, so im eargerly awaiting trying your work!

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please

*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

I will also be including changes that arco and ivendor do. The only remaining big bug.i.e the bluetooth if fixed by xistance, then he will release it first and then i'll follow up. OPEN SOURCE DOES NOT MEAN OUT OF RESPECT!! The 3 builds a week start from the next week and will be provided on Monday,Wednesday and Friday.

The wifi problem occurs because of the new bcmdhd drivers,if the wifi freezes you have to reboot,it's a general problem of the newer kernel source. I can revert to the old kernel source with the dhd module, but i'm too lazy for it.
Xistance can fix bluetooth as he has the device and can generate logcats, whereas i have to wait for my cousin to do so. Albeit he is a fantastic guy and i trust he would fix it soon. So stay tuned on his thread.
What about deep sleep? It works fine in both xistance and my builds. About the apn, both of us got internet connections in our nations, you can try and see if you get apn to work.

Because we don't have the 4.2 mr1 kernel branch yet. The branch used is the jb-3.0 which was originally meant for 4.1 not 4.2

Okey, i check this soon. You guys do a really big, and great job for us all. Anyway - WiFi is possible to fix, that freezees, ya? For me deep sleep sometimes work, sometimes dosen't work... I'm confused now. I do a full wipe and that shouldn't be.

I had to use the new TWRP 2.7.1.1 in order to get it to install, using 2.6.3.3 kept giving me an error.
I got it loaded fine using 2.7.1.1. Used it for a Lil bit. Two problems i had, When I plugged it in to charge, the phone wouldn't wake up. Even after I unplugged. Also had an issue with it staying in edit mode after I add a widget, the long press on the home screen edit mode. Reboot to fix that too.

Read the first post. Known issue and a temporary work around was posted there
Installed fine for me, no issues with me. Initially took a while to sync via bluetooth to my car, but worked fine after the initial hiccup. Battery life so far this morning seems good, although it's only been off the line for 2 hours, at 92% which is about normal for me, lots of use in the morning. Did seem to lock up also when trying to launch Chrome the first time, but again, has worked fine since then. Very nice ROM, great work!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I want to build a ROM for Galaxy Ace Plus. Where do I start?
A: I'm looking into providing a tutorial soon so that other users can also build ROMs for our phone.
Q: Lollipop. When?
A: When KitKat for our phone is stable, Lollipop would be considered. But now, nope.
Q: I found a fix for a bug. Where do I send it?
A: You can PM it to me, or post it in the thread. ALL FIXES ARE WELCOME.
Q: Your sources?
A: All my sources are on my GitHub profile. I make sure that all my GitHub uploads can be built successfully before I publish them in order to avoid a lot of build errors.
Q: I want a transparent status bar. How do I do that?
A: /system/build.prop should be ro.config.low_ram=false (unchanged), then open Settings > Performance (you will only see this after enabling Developer Options, which you could do by going to Settings > About Phone and tapping the Build Number 7 times) > then check Force High-End Graphics then reboot.
ThankGod..!!!
There is still a ray of hope for our phone.!!

I'm aiming for the camera fix. Right now the camera is being detected in the kernel, but could not load it because it seems to not read the Camera HAL module. The next build will be using a different version of the android frameworks that would allow the loading of the camera HAL. Right now the only problems we have in my logcats are the proprietary parts that Samsung did not make fully open-source.
For instance, our camera is a proprietary version of msm7x27a and even though there are other similar cameras on the similar boards, ours contain some lines of code from Samsung that we cannot reverse engineer, making it hard to re-create the camera module.
thanks
Dear developer liam
Thanks a billion times for trying cyanogen 11 on ace plus .
we appreciate your efforts.
Waiting for cm 11 bugfree
I'll be the first tester...

Thanks. All that's left to resolve is the WebKit lag. Starting to upload Build #2 right now. Build #3 should be in the works very soon. I want Build #3 to be a final stable release, so I'm hoping for more bug reports during Build #2 so that I can work on the remaining bugs for Build #3.
As for camcorder, same issue with other 4.x ROMs for Ace Plus. Native camcorder doesn't work properly, but using third-party apps work.
Well done Liam, you are a great developer!!! Thank you so much....I will try build #2...I hope to see a stable release on our ace plus...

Hm. That might have something to do with the fix I applied recently for the camera.
Have you tried using the Xposed Module for it? If it works, then I'll put that method into OP for a temporary fix as I work on reverting to the old code. As for your link, it's broken.
Thanks for reporting!

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?
