Hello everyone,
I recently downloaded a ROM by xbsa and wanna install it on my phone. I followed the LG Flashtool guide, but after I hold vol up and plug into my computer, I only got a new device called: LGE CDMA USB SERIAL PORT, but OMAP4430 doesn't show up. Can someone help me?

Hi, I bought some months ago my LG Optimus 3D.
I rooted it, installed CWM recovery, and flashed a custom rom (after trying a bit ones).
But when I tried to connect my new-customized optimus 3d as a usb mass storage it didn't work anymore: my PC seemed like to not recognize my o3d, even if it installed the following drivers:
LGE Mobile Composite USB Device
LGE mobile USB Serial Port (COM47)
LGE mobile USB Modem
Anyway, I managed to flash the stock firmware with LG FlashTool. Everything worked well, but when I tried to connect my stock o3d to the computer... the USB was still broken!!
Then I sent the phone to LG; they said me they have reflashed the stock rom, and that my phone hadn't got any problem.
Anyway I got it back: I tried to reconnect the phone to the PC and magically the USB was working!
So, I rooted it and tried a few custom rom..... at the first time the usb was working very well, but after some days I got the same problem: now the USB doesn't work anymore, and I don't want to flash a stock rom...
Any suggestion? What should I do in order to fix my USB connection?
I tried to connect the phone with different usb cables, and in five different PCs (LG drivers were installed in every PC).
The PCs seem to recognize my O3D as:
LGE Mobile Composite USB Device
LGE mobile USB Serial Port (COM47)
LGE mobile USB Modem
instead of:
LGE Android Platform Composite USB Device
LGE Android Platform USB Modem
LGE Android Platform USB Serial Port
LGE Android Platform USB GPS NMEA Port
Android PlatformSooner Single ADB Interface
LGE Cosmo USB Device
LGE CosmoExt USB Device
(I got that list when I connected the phone after I've got it back from LG)
I dunno i am noobie on this, check my post count..
But try to disable USb debugging..
Yeah, I tried to connect the phone with both enabled and disabled usb debugging. I also tried to mount the usb through CWM recovery but nothing.. It doesn't work.
The last thing I've done before the usb stopped working was flashing the CWM touch recovery through PC...

Of course I did it!
The easiest way would be to uninstall ALL LG drivers.
Then reinstall after a reboot.

I don't think this will solve the problem... but I'll try!
The strangest thing is that LG FlashTool lets me flash a stock rom and a different baseband... So, it cannot be a hardware problem!
Ok guys I SOLVED THE PROBLEM!
The solution was to take out the battery for 10 minutes.
When turned on and connected, the USB worked properly!
P.S.: I don't know why...

HELP NEEDED...
I Just installed a rom manager app then flash recovery thru Rom Manager..
then my phone restarted & freeze on lg logo... plz help..
The same happened to me, even when i put it to charge, it keeps rebooting (LG logo appears then reboot).
Even with the battery out, i've plugged into my USB and it keeps connecting and disconnecting. I've tried connecting it with the VOL+ pressed, it disconnects 2-3 times, and it remains connected; in Device Manager it appears as LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM12).
The drivers are installed; i've tried SmartFlashTool, i always get "We can't communicate with specific port"; i've tried LG Flash tool, nothing happens, it does not detect it..
Can anyome please help?
Drivers must be installed as in part 1 here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195753
Uninstall all LG drivers and software first, restart PC then install as explained. You must be logged onto PC as admin.
Thanks.. At step J nothing happens (everything is as it's supposed to be until here).. i'm about to give up...
In that case you may need this guide

Or Karim Kahale's unbrick guide...

Hello everybody,
I send my new phone to repair, so i take my old LG Optimus 3D (P920) from drawer
When i power on the phone, i see a message about no space in internal memory.
I search this web, because i have some experiences with modding android from Wildfire S, and I found some news about using ICS on P920 device.
First tutorial which i tried is some tutorial for noobs in Android Development Section.
Drivers successfully installed and LG Flash Tool start flashing, but it stuck on EBL writing start.
I tried many times on different PCs, but same result
After that i wanna try rebrick with Omap4boot tool, but P920 cannot connect as OMAP4430 devices.
No devices appearing in devmgmt, while connect my phone to USB port with volume up pressed.
Only windows show: USB device not recognized message in tray zone.
This message shows periodically while phone is connected.
Now i cant connect phone to the PC in download mode.
Only thing it works is recovery, but i cant mount USB storage.
Is my phone totally dead now?
Thank you.

Did you try different pcs (windows 7, windows xp, windows 8), different usb cables? Can your phone boot into fastboot mode? Did you try to install omap drivers in device manager after unplugging the device?

I tried to downgrade the kitkat version because I couldn't update my apps, using a flash tool.
It then shut down and now does not turn on at all. When I plug into the computer the USB gets into a cycle/loop of connect and disconnect. Please help me if you have the time.

no. But I think it goes on '''META MODE'" ONLY on the computer for a few seconds.
Thanks for commenting.

I used this one.
forums (dot) lenovo (dot) com/t5/A-and-P-Series/Lenovo-A536-stuck-during-firmware-upgrade/td-p/1744571[/url]
I downloaded the latest firmware from
"THIS is the latest original ROW firmware (PC Flash Tool installation)"
This whole guide was fine, it worked for me.
But the problem was when I tried to downgrade the firmware to an older version.
I tried to replace the lastest official firmware with this one ROM Android 4.4.2 (older official needrom(dot)com/download/lenovo-a536/
sorry can't link websites yet

Thank you so much for staying with me to solve this problem. The phone is fixed.
I followed the
"
For MT6575/ 77
With the battery out, hold the volume up, don't let go & plug in the USB cable will activate META mode for few seconds...Typically, you need to click Download at SP Flash Tool before entering META mode or it will auto disconnected...
"
except I downloaded the lenovo a536 stock rom.
the only thing I did different was that I plugged in (META MODE) and THEN pressed download or else the usb would never be detected (they both show different COM numerals.)
After that I firmly held the whole usb into the phone during the whole flashing, or else it might get automatically disconnected again.
Then I updated/upgraded to the latest firmware, And it is all optimal. :good:
THANKS AGAIN !!!
