General:
Builds are generated automatically each day week (except "releases" which will be done once a month and after SR1 when required) with latest changes from CM, Andromadus and myself. Builds use some required Andromadus' repos for msm7x30 that can be found from github (link below) and local device repo for ace. Kernel is based on synergye's KangBang kernel with some changes to fulfill some dependencies on this rom. Local manifest used for the builds can be found here. If the builds stop coming at some point, it most likely means there are changes in upstream that broke the build. I'll attend to solving such situations when I have time. Latest 7 nightlies will be kept on the server. If you want a longer history of them, you are free to archive them yourself.

Q&A:
Q: What's "M-Series"?

Q: Where are my developer and performance options?
A: http://goo.gl/jpS8r
Q: I've used HTC Dev unlock and flashed the rom but it won't boot. What should I do?
A: HTC Dev unlock is pretty much useless when flashing roms from recovery. Until HTC One, it doesn't allow flashing boot partition from recovery which pretty much kills or cripples any custom rom if boot.img has been modified. You need to extract boot.img from the zip and flash it via fastboot. If you don't have fastboot executable anymore from flashing recovery, install Android SDK platform tools (Linux users should find it from distro's package management) and then reboot to bootloader, open command prompt and navigate to the location you extracted your boot.img and type:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
You need to repeat this everytime you flash new version of this rom to ensure everything will work fluently as long as you have just basic HTC Dev unlock.
Q: What does the ROM look like?
A: Video review by Flow-Wolf.
Q: Feature X doesn't work, let's make 1000 posts about it to annoy everyone.
A: Please, dont. Use search and then use search again and only then report your problem with necessary logs. [Logcat guide, thanks to MusikMonk for the link]
Q: I hate you for not fixing this issue X!!!
A: I love you too.
Q: How I can build CM10.1 myself?
A: Setup a basic Android build environment.
Code:
mkdir cm10
cd cm10/
repo init -u git://github.com/CyanogenMod/android.git -b cm-10.1
mkdir -p .repo/local_manifests
wget https://github.com/Mustaavalkosta/android/raw/cm-10.1/local_manifest.xml -O .repo/local_manifests/cm_ace.xml
repo sync
cd vendor/cm/
./get-prebuilts
cd ../../
. build/envsetup.sh
lunch cm_ace-userdebug
mka bacon
Once the build finishes you'll find your goods from out/target/product/ace/ directory.
Q: My device rebooted itself all the way to the white HTC bootsplash. What should I do?

Regarding the reboots, it would be incredibly helpful if someone could get a last_kmsg after an unexpected reboot. To do so, go directly to recovery after the reboot (without booting into android) via the volume key and power button, then run adb pull /proc/last_kmsg on your computer and upload. I thought the issue was stemming from out of pmem errors like on vision which is why I increased pmem allocation again. Without any evidence, it's just guesswork though.

Q&A:
Q: What's the difference between these builds and PipelinerArd's builds?
A: These builds are as close to CM source as possible without breaking either build or hardware support. PipelinerArd uses a big chunk of codefireX's repositories for various things. This doesn't mean his builds are bad, they are just not very close to CM source anymore. You can compare the manifests yourself and decide which one better suits your needs. My local manifest / PipelinerArd's manifest. And again, I'm not here to invalidate his work and I've no quarrel with him. I'm just mentioning this as someone is bound to ask about it.
Q: Feature X doesn't work, let's make 1000 posts about it to annoy everyone.
A: I'm not here to fix any device specific bugs or problems. I only compiled the build manifest using repositories already available to everyone. I can only rearrange build manifest to fix feature X. If it still doesn't work, too bad. Hope that Desire S is having the same problem and Andromadus is going to fix it. Help yourself and help others.
Q: I hate you for not fixing this issue X!!!

If you're gonna compare your rom to mine you could at least get the repo right git://github.com/PipelinerArd/android.fit -b cm-10.1

I've just flashed and configured this rom as my daily one.
Anyway it seems to works fine as the other 4.2.1 roms, but anyway i've found a not "green" camera on this one on the preview of the shot.

Ah, my bad. The new github layout is confusing. I only saw the popular repositories when I was looking for your manifest. I spend my time mostly with bitbucket these days. You didn't have a direct link to manifest (nor any repo links) anywhere in your ROM's first post (or at least I didn't and still can't see anything). :|
I'm sorry for any hard feelings caused by unintentionally stepping on toes. I fixed the incorrect Q&A section. At least flashmaniacs should be happy for daily doses. Hurray.

can anyone confirm it possible to auto focus by hold shutter icon and capture by releasing it?

trismegistos, SuperKid and myself have all been working on CyanogenMod for our Desire S. The "nightly" builds posted by trismegistos are built from the absolutely latest code from CyanogenMod. The nightly system exists mainly for people to test upcoming changes between major CyanogenMod releases (like 7.0 to 7.1), and for supported devices are generated automatically every night.
trismegistos has been posting his own nightly builds of SuperKids ROM, though I believe his plan now is to stop and let me put out updates once a week or so.
Our long term plan is to get the Desire S officially supported by CyanogenMod, then if you want to run a "bleeding edge" build, you can grab the newest every night from them.
Hope this helps =)

exactly
I was using SuperKid's 1.1 ROM, and I flashed the latest nightly ontop of that (without full wipe) and have been using that.
Would you recommend a full wipe before installing this or would it be just as good if I just flashed this over my existing setup?
I been busy making other roms and working on other projects, that i kind of left the cyanogen mod rom.
We started from the beggining with NeoLojik to make this rom and he kept all this time fixing it and improving it, if there is someone that deserves get credit about this rom is him.
So from now on, he will be doing the porting of cyanogen to this device at least the unnoficial ones, we hope we will get official soon.
Anyways, i will be here and help in anything that needed!
any chance to use this with the sense 3 keyboard somehow?
Currently on superkid's CM7 v 1.3.2. I believe it's obsolete now. Will flash this tomorrow.
Hope we get officially supported by the CM team soon..... IDK why they would leave out such a wonderful device.
i can't see a proper changelog and i was wondering what's the difference in this new cyanogenmod compared to the one superkid made? I'm still running superkid's cyanogenmod.
This is great news.
What is the difference between the kernel included in this ROM and the one that Tiamat has developed?

NOT BAD ?!?!?! It was great, I'm using it right now I meant that it won't be updated, so it's outdated (obsolete was probably a too harsh word). Also, you need to concentrate more on other ROMs so it was a good idea to hand over this project to others.
Wow, this is great news! I was trying to build CM7 from your Github tree, but got some errors unfortunately.
I can confirm the Bluetooth works great, even the last week integration of the full AVRCP 1.3 profile works. I can finally see what song is playing on my carkit
Should the commit from superkid (add Saga support to CM7) be changed to the new github?
Great job guys!!

Afraid not, all the Sense based applications require the HTC frameworks to function and to my knowledge no-one has ever successfully ported those into an AOSP ROM.

Whilst both versions are CyanogenMod, they're based off different "device" sources. SuperKid's original CM7 was based upon my first ever device tree. I scrapped that and started fresh for this one. It's been about a month of work from then 'till now.

The included kernel is based on the same code as the Tiamat one, but lacks any sort of overclocking or Tiamat specific tweaks. It's a fully stock kernel. Feel free to flash Tiamat 1.1.1 onto this ROM, it works fine. I just wanted to ship it with a stock AOSP kernel =)

No HD video in camcorder. I *believe* high is HD. Can't do this myself atm but do a test recording and check the resolution on a PC.
The shutter sound is disabled in the CyanogenMod mainline source because of a bug with audio recording when using the camcorder. I'll chase up the bug and see if it's been fixed.

This build is compiled using SaberMod toolchain and like the official one, it is built derived from the same source: Slimroms github. @fusionjack could cherry-pick some commits ahead from Slim team or patches from other repositories that he finds useful.
The ROM and the kernel are tested by me first before I make it available online. I could have overseen something during testing, please be understand.
In summary, it is still Slimkat that is compiled with SaberMod toolchain.
!!! Please don't discuss these unofficial builds in the official thread. User can get confuse easily. !!!
Additional changes
Compiled with a custom toolchain Sabermod for more performance and better battery life.
Compiled with the most GCC optimization level -O3.
Compiled with strict-aliasing compiler optimization.
Added 40+ patches to fix GCC strict-aliasing violation rules.
Added ARMv7 and Cortex-A8 optimized string handling routines for more smoothness and more memory optimization.
Added some AOSP fixes and improvements.
Added some VanirAOSP fixes and improvements.
Added patches from AOSP for better ART performance.
Added Active Display and Network Usage from ChameleonOS. Not yet available on kitkat.
Disabled SQLite fsync to increase I/O performance.
Installation instructions
Coming from 4.1.x or 4.2.x or 4.3.x or another ROM to 4.4.x:

OK, this is what is working for me to go to/from Team Acid CM9 and has been pretty reliable so far:
Make sure you have backups of /efs put away somewhere safe!
From JB or ICS (make full backups first, at least TWRP and hopefully Titanium Backup or equivalent as well)
Reboot recovery
Install this ROM
Reboot recovery
Advanced Wipe; /system, /data, /cache
Install this ROM - again
Make TWRP backups
Reboot
Once you have TWRP backups of your "target" build, you can flip/flop reasonably easily
Reboot recovery
Restore TWRP backup of Boot of target build
Reboot recovery
Advanced Wipe; /system, /data, /cache
Restore TWRP backups of target build
Boot into target
This should work as long as /efs and /radio haven't moved.

Coming from previous unofficial build:
Wipe cache and dalvik cache.
Flash the unofficial build.
No need to re-flash gapps. Gapps will be restored back automatically by backup tool during flashing.
Known Issues
Booting into ART mode takes time, be patient. As some users reported, ART won't work if you are using xposed framework. See xposed thread for more information.

Help!!! Root doesn't work!!! What should I do???
From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from 4.2.2 in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.

What is the difference between these builds and the official builds?
Short version: It is unofficial nightly builds whereas official one is stable and weekly builds.
Long version: It is built using the same source (github) like the official one but with these following additional changes:
Compiled using SaberMod 4.9 & SaberMod 4.7 toolchain combo.
Contains some cherry-pick commits. See changelog for more details.
Faster? Smoother? Here are some responses from users: rkoby13, rkoby13, rkoby13, kroz, MarioFan1998, alkspo, vladimirheroj, bodzik155
What is Toolchain?
In software, a toolchain is the set of programming tools that are used to create a product (typically another computer program or system of programs). The tools may be used in a chain, so that the output of each tool becomes the input for the next, but the term is used widely to refer to any set of linked development tools.
A simple software development toolchain consists of a compiler and linker to transform the source code into an executable program, libraries to provide interfaces to the operating system, and a debugger. A complex product such as a video game needs tools for preparing sound effects, music, textures, 3-dimensional models, and animations, and further tools for combining these resources into the finished product.

What is SaberMod?
The term "SaberMod" is coming from:
SaberMod is a AOSP based ROM with some extra features added in and mostly from CyanogenMod. SaberMod started out pure AOSP when android 4.2.1 launched. Originally it was pure AOSP with a few extra features I ported over from CyanogeMod and linaro optimizations. Then I rebased everything off of rasbeanjelly because I liked many features found in rasbean. Since then I've modified a lot of the code so not much of it is rasbeanjelly based anymore. But you will still find some commonly used features found in rasbeanjelly. SaberMod is not a rasbeanjelly or CM clone, or KANG. Custom kernels are included for certain devices when available. These are personal builds we make for ourselves and originally became very popular in the nexus 7 forums. Features are very rarely added, and are built to SaberMod's team members liking. Currently there are two members of SaberMod working on this project. Myself and @jarjar124 . Please understand our time is limited and we are only two people who have lives, and do not have 25-50 members like CyanogenMod to add things. And our goal is not to add a bunch of features that bloat the system of the ROM.

What is Linaro?
Linaro is the place where engineers from the world's leading technology companies define the future of Linux on ARM. The company is a not-for-profit engineering organization with over 120 engineers working on consolidating and optimizing open source software for the ARM architecture, including the GCC toolchain, the Linux kernel, ARM power management, graphics and multimedia interfaces.

I haven't had any reboot/soft reboot or freeze on my Mom's phone and ART is working more superb and conversion time is faster than the Official build ^^. No camera whacky, no severe problem so far. Anyone can, just try to reproduce the issues tho and I want to know if they'r gone or not, too. Just backup and flash it .
BTW, even if it doesn't have or has those issues, I will still close the other thread and maintain this only cause this is built with Linaro/SaberMod plus has various of patches for ART compares to official one so just build this only as well to save my time and resources.
P/s: WELCOME to LINARO KAT
OMG i am happy to see this rom
now i hv moved to GS3
their is not any fully bug fixed rom but S4G have(other then residual bug)
Farewell !!
Thank You !!!
While I moved to the Note 3 as my main phone a few months ago, I'm keeping around the GSG4G as a music player. Just flashed this and while I'm having the usual "Why do you do this to me! I have no space!" issues right after flashing due to Google wanting to restore 100 apps or so, I haven't had any other issues yet.
Thanks for keeping this phone awesome.

I found a GAPP that only loads the core items, thus getting rid of that 100 app restore, and space issue. I loaded this rom first this this morning it has been quite solid and no reboots at this time! The look and the features are awesome! Great Job Dao!

Thanks man! And since Slim hasn't released their inverted gapps so I would recommend using gapps core as it's ok to flash . Ok so if this is stable enough, next stop is trying to fix video playback (idk what is the cause for this) and better entropy tweaks enabling in kernel . There is also an advance option in settings>storage for switching/swapping the internal and external but it's FC on our phone so let's see what I can do about it

As per usual, Mounts2SD still works great with this. Just wondering... when the switching causes the FCs, do you have the sd-ext formatted in a way that would work with Mounts2SD or another similar program?

Dao, I gave up on ART as the space limitation simply would not work with the apps I wanted to install, and that I use regularly, even moving everything I could to the SD Card. That said, Dalvik Mode seems to be working just as fast as ART, and not had a single reboot related crash as best I can tell after pretty heavy use for 24 hours. Thanks for the awesome work! I even installed Xposed Framewwork and have not seen any issues. Fingers crossed, but am thinking you can call the reboot issue fixed.

Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.

Yeah, and that's ok but no need to name me as a contributor. Everything we do is a derivative from someone else's work so it's kind of natural to fork and continue on different route. I found out last night that I could remove myself from DevDB's contributor list. So I did that because I'm not really actively contributing here even though you may use my commits from my main project. I'll be happy to answer questions should you have issues with something.

Adoptable Storage
Continuing on the adoptable storage discussion from cm 12.1 thread:
Now that I really thought about it, this is not a solution for us. Our biggest issue is the small system partition which won't benefit in any way from adoptable storage thus I will stick to maintaining only aceopt device tree and regular ace tree is frozen on cm-12.1.

yeah got that, thanks. But still waiting to post screenshots from my own device. (you know what I mean)
Mobile data fixed with PhantomShadow's patch for 12.0. Now it's mainly just hanging on the camera libs.
Fantastic news, thanks you for all
So impressive this phone is still kicking thanks to Mustaavalkosta, It's still sitting on my desk as my first android phone. Can't wait to try cm13 on it.

Desire HD was my first Android phone too. But don't have the phone anymore
really great
thanks very much.
Waitting for the final great news.
Oh my gosh the hype is real :d ... Man you are fantastic!
HTTPS, first build, etc.
HTTPS / SSL
SSL certificates are now renewed across the ODP domains just in case someone faced HSTS block earlier with expired certificates. Let me know if something isn't working with SSL. Let's Encrypt service only just entered open beta after all.
Nightlies
I started nightlies to check that everything is in order in automation side of things. Camera is still broken and since I caught cold last night again and this time it seems to be quite furious cold I'm not sure when I can/will continue to poke the camera with shim library. You can poke around in 6.0 now though and get mad when all the things are broken.
Only opt variant build is available. Regular ace builds are dead for 13.0 as far as I'm concerned. You can read how to convert your stuff to support opt version's changed partition layout here. I'll update FAQs and so forth as soon as I can.
First Nightly Quick Impressions
Didn't expect much on flashing the first nightly, but it's running smoothly.
so far, so good. . Expect for screen flicker glitches which happens randomly on using the phone.

And the flicker will likely get a bit worse when camera libs start working again. They trigger crazy blue flickering during bootup etc. and there's no fix in sight. I have already spent countless hours with 12.1 based builds and this LCD underflow issue. But hey, 6.0 is booting up and is generally running ok apart from the ever-increasing annoyances. I guess that's something even though not a perfect score.

Does this means it is using the new adreno blobs (what about saga, same thing too)? Do gapps/playstore work now? Someone installed games? Does it improve performance? I'll stay on 12.1 for now (it's my daily phone) but will definitely be following the CM13 thread

Yeah, I wouldn't have even released anything for 13.0 without the new adreno blobs because the old ones are already killing WebView on 12.1 and because that issue seems to come from the actual blobs themselves it's pretty much impossible to fix without changing blobs. Going backwards is not really my "thing" so new blobs or gtfo.
And the builds are the same for both devices. This would have been very difficult to manage with different stuff for each device.
I was initially planning to quit this hobby (or probably already a habit at this point) after 12.1 but since it turned out to be possible to utilise the sdcard and work around quite fatal insufficient storage issue here we still are. This has made my goals for the 13.0 a bit fuzzy but I suppose we'll see how much is doable and how much isn't. Problems have gradually got worse and worse as the upstream makes more or less huge changes while we are, for example, still using gingerbread camera blobs and this trend is continuing so let's try to keep out expectations low.

I am also getting an Adroid Keyboard (AOSP) stopped working notice and an Encryption unsuccessful error warning. Pressing Reset phone reboots it into TWRP, which tries to wipe cache and Data and restart, leading to the same error warnings. (20151205 nightly and 20151201 gapps)
Today's build wasn't favorable, it has FCs throughout. quick - Is either you restore back to previous build or old back up.

Guys, I'm so sorry about pac 6.0. Hope you are not really mad at me and this post will cheer you up a little bit.
I had to reinstall Ubuntu, Windows + a lot of distractions and annoying stuff. It was a real mess.
Clearly, it was not a good idea to compile pac 6.0 now (pac 6.0 status: alpha 1). Plus I've got errors that are not easy to solve.
But I'll bring pac 6.0 for tate later (release version).
Hope you guys are not really mad at me.

That's fine; no hard feelings. You can PM transi1 your build issues, and I think he'd be glad to help you out.

I've contacted transi1 already. Something wrong with file_context.
But, like I said before, it should be a release source.
By the way, I've got a difference viewer software to figure out differences between cm12.1 and cm13 branches. This should help also.

I have the same issues when building for jem. If you don't mind PMing your build errors (preferably the whole build output if you have it), I can try to patch file_contexts until transi fixes the file to resolve the build errors. Also, you may later get an issue with make_recovery_patch; if you do, let me know and I'll tell you how to fix it. transi's been quite helpful when I started building my custom CM ROM for jem; I tried contacting him about the latest issue with file_contexts, but he hasn't responded yet.

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit, but I also receives the errors you mentioned. Transi has provided me a file_contexts file of his own, but the build errors out. There may have been more edits transi has done to his source that he has not mentioned or put on Git.
On the other hand, we're not mad at you . Were all on good terms.

Yep, I guess that Git is not up to date.

I can't imagine anyone getting mad at you for attempting to give them something for free!! Thank you for your time and hard work. I am trying out this ROM today. Lollipop is okay by me AND it's at least up to date as of April which is nice too! :good:

You're welcome. I'm gonna to bring AOSP MM ROMs for tate this summer. I've noticed that full_tate-userdebug command is related to AOSP compiling, but will it work with Marshmallow? That is the question. And I'll bring release version of PAC MM (Alpha 1 at the moment) later.
Don't forget to go to PAC Settings-MISCELLANEOUS-PAC Stats and uncheck Enable reporting box. That box causes Settings error when you turn on WIFI. Also, I recommend you to delete useless system apps, like: phone, mms, browser etc. You can do it before flashing, by the way. Thanks for your interest.

I suppose building with that recipe (full_tate_userdebug) might not matter all that much. I'm going to try compiling vanilla CM with that option (its jem equivalent, anyway) tonight and seeing if it works. brunch jem worked without a hitch for me, so I would suppose that one could use that same command for tate and not have any errors. When you say AOSP, do you mean actual AOSP (no CM or other derivatives)? If you try full_tate_userdebug on a CM build tree, it would most likely compile CM or whatever's in the tree.

I'm gonna download AOSP and see what happens (with full_tate-userdebug command). I've seen on github Hashcode's file about compiling android 4.3 AOSP for tate. There was a line about full_tate-userdebug. We'll see. I'm gonna start in June.
You mean there is no full_jem-userdebug command or what? You can try of course to compile vanilla CM with full_tate-userdebug option, but I guess it's correct to use cm_jem-userdebug command.

I'm pretty sure there is a full_jem_userdebug option; it would just build whatever source is present in the build trees. The cm_jem_userdebug command is a built-in parameter for officially supported CM devices, and thus it would make sense for the option to not exist when building straight AOSP; full_jem_userdebug and full_tate_userdebug are commands provided by the local manifest file. As long as you make sure to add in the local manifest file like normal and resolve the build issues beforehand (like the multiple same specs for the file_contexts file), you shouldn't have too much trouble building AOSP from source. Just note that some of the conventional build steps you'd have when building CM differ when building AOSP.

Alright, we'll see what happens.
Just wanted to say thanks for posting this...
It's a very solid rom.
I get one error on reboots, ("settings has stopped"), but other than that very minor glitch it's a very usable rom.

Go to settings - pac settings - miscellaneous - pac stats and uncheck this box <enable reporting>
It will solve "settings has stopped".
Thanks.

No problem
That is the last one Lollipop release (LMY49J), by the way. Forgot to add it before.
