phone's dead! - HTC Sensation

hi all. i've got a device completely "dead" with the real meaning after substituting the hboot with an eng one! by "dead" i mean it ain't gonna be detected by ./brickdetect.sh in ubuntu, saying device not detected, check connection.
when i try to turn the phone on, nothin happens... when it's plugged into ac with original charger, neither anything happens... even the orange light's not gonna be turned on, or the display... or anything else... is it bricked...??! plz help me.

That sounds... bad...
Not sure it will help, but try connecting it without the sim and SD card.
Also, could you elaborate more on the exact process and outcome of what procedure was done for the boot? What version you had, what you tried to install, which method was used, etc?

Sensation dead!

hy i was S ONNING when i must reboot my htc died . i cant turn on it , i cant charg it and i cant anter recovery, is my htc bricked or
pls help
Which method did you use to S-ON?
Umm its kinda hard to understand what your typing you need to type more properly, if english is not your language then please refer to GOOGLE translate, and translate your native language to english
but i will take a try to understand
you where S-OFF and you wanted to go back to S-ON, and when your phone needed to reboot, it rebooted but never turn back on?
and now it wont power on, or show a charge light
and there is no way for you to get into Bootloader or recovery?
yes thats right
i have the same ;(

Take out battery, wait 10sec, reinsert.
Hold vol down and press power on - do you reach boot loader?

I'm pretty sure your phone is bricked. I'm assuming you didn't S-ON properly. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the procedure is that you have to go completely back to stock before doing the S-ON. Many users screw something up here and brick it. You're pretty much out of luck. However, I think dexter's thread has a POSSIBLE fix, haven't looked at that myself. You can look around on the forums there for help, but yes your sensation is currently dead

Need help/advice

Ok so today i was playing wind up knight (running CM9 beta 2) and my sensation got stuck so i tried to reboot by hold vol + and - and the power button...nothing happened, so went ahead and did a battery pull
when i tried to turn it back on, back light turn on but the screen dies but the phone vibrates as it always does when u press the power button to turn it on, then if i wait like 20 secs it vibrates the same way again (keep in mind the screen is off), the 20 secs later vibrates again, and so on
so im assuming im in a bootloop and screen is not turning off
so i decided to try going to hboot to try and see if adb recognizes the phone and it doesnt but i press the power button again to go to fastboot and the pc recognizes the phone, i tried fastboot devices and it indeed shows up my s/n (keep in mind screen doesnt turn on as well in hboot)
so ive been thinking my options at this point are:
*try using fastboot flashall, to flash new firmware and stuff however i dont know how to do that, ive just read that command can be done, but i havent found anyone using it on the sensation
*or i can also try an RUU, thinking about the telstra RUU since my sensation is a telstra one, however i dont know if ill lose s-off if i do this, also i dont know if i have to change my CID to the telstra one since im super CID
my fear about losing s-off is that if my screen doesnt turn on after running the RUU i wont be able to use fastboot commands anymore to try more options
so anyone have advice on what can i possibly do?
thanks
Can you reboot into recovery? If so why not just super wipe and flash a new from?

Since the phone doesn't support Braille, how would he? He is without screen!
From my point of view seems like hardware... Most probably the screen... Or the gpu try flashing an ruu with out turning to s-on and pull a logcat... It might just help
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA App
i just flashed the RUU and no dice still no screen seems like im not stuck in a bootloop anymore
still no ADB commands since ADB debugging is off lol only fastboot
is there a way to get the logcat via fastboot or without adb?
Take a look here... It might do the job. http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/12834/broken-screen-cant-adb
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA App
thanks for that link it dled screencast but it need adb to get to work :S
so i tried flashing a cwm via fastboot cause i read adb can be used while in recovery after flashing i rebooted into recovery and got some drivers to install but 2 of them the last one fail, device manager recognizes the phone as an HTC Modem in recovery and no ADB commands =/
also tried setprop persist.servece.adb.enable 1 but not sure where do i have to try it
also forgot to mention when the phone is off and i plug the usb the led lights up amber after a little bit it gets green (i assume its cause the battery is fully charged) if i press the power button the phone vibrates and the led goes off
Bump for HEEEEEELPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!
apparently i dont have a radio either, even after flashing the RUU
tried flashing one but i got the FAILED remote message
out of curiosity. Pull the battery and put it back in. Hold volume down and while still holding volume down button press and hold the power button. Are you getting to the HTC boot loader. If so then good. Now grab an ruu for your phone and see if it will run. Don't worry if the ruu tells you to boot the system on and click next to proceed. Flashing a ruu you will NOT lose s-off. If you can't see a screen to tell if you are in the boot loader still try to do the ruu. Let me know what happens and I will try to help you out further or not
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using XDA App
just did, for the second time still nothing happens =/ the telstra RUU i booted to fastboot usb before flash so RUU would recognize the phone
what else can i do?
So ruu recognized the phone and finished flashing?
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using XDA App
yup, still no screen
Hmm not looking good. Have you tried removing the SD card and try to boot the phone without it?
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using XDA App
yes, also without the sim card
I am afraid you will have to send to HTC for fixing or buy another sensation. Definately seems like a hardware issue that a ruu won't fix or anything currently available to us.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using XDA App
another option would be to purchase a USB jtag to go into phone via serial. Beyond my skill there but treve on evo3d forums may or may not be able to help or anyone else? Which leaves yoibto decide on a replacement phone. Treve's post is [wip] download mode serials etc etc in the development section. I would link it but I am on phone atm.

HTC Sensation Died! HELP please

Hi guys..iam posting this thread just to ask for your help
Im currently in problem as my sensation cannot be turned off. This is what happened
1. Iam using custom ROM. ICS Coredroid
2. When i was using my phone.suddenly the phone turn off and I turned it on but it stuck on the first screen when the sign of Coredroid appear..
3. Then i took out the battery and leave it for a couple of minutes
4. I put the battery back and turned it on..But no changes
5. I tried vol down plus power button..but it was not working it just turn on and still stucked in where the signs of the coredroid appear
6. Then i charged it.and leave i it for about 15-20 minutes
7. I tried to turn it on, but the result still the same
8.Then I took out the battery for couple of minutes (again!) and it's not working!
9. Then i realized when i plugged the it to the charger again..i cant turned it on and the LED is not blinking (it usually turn on orange when we plug it to charger right)
My question are:
a. Is my sensation bricked?
b. if it is not bricked,Is there any way i could get my phone back alive???
Note: The phone sometimes restart, but somehow it managed to turn on again, but now it is not!
I dont know much about this kinda of thing, so if you dont mind, i do need ur help
Thanks

nope..no light came up.
I recognise this problem.. I've had it too, no blinking LED while charging or something..
If your phone doesn't even boot, I'm afraid it's bricked.
In my case I sent it to HTC and they swapped the MB..
They didn't say it was rooted or something..
When you plug your HTC to your computer, and you check your device management,
does it say you need a driver or something? (QHUSB-DLOAD or something?)
Just read again your op. Does your phone show any signals of life?
If yes, take the battery out hold the vol- hard, insert and push the power button

and maybe your computer reacts if you install htc sync for the drivers
We've got to figure out WHY this happens guys. This happened to me as well as many others. No obvious user error, just sudden death. The devs need to look at some of the mods they are doing and see if there is some connection possible to this.

Of course we have to figure that out.
In my case it was my own fault, because I forgot one command line in CMD..
But in my opinion we do not have to figure it out in this thread

HTC Inspire 4g stuck. Please Help

Hi, I tried flashing a new radio to my phone because the current one I had was draining battery really fast and I wasn't getting a good mobile connection. Well when I flashed it rebooted and it now it just stays stuck on the HTC screen. When I try to boot into recovery it just goes straight back to the HTC screen and stays stuck there.
Is there anything I can do about this?
Thank you.
What radio did you try flashing and by what method. Also have you tried a battery pull?

That is definitely not an inspire radio. It's really a bad idea to flash anything but inspire compatible radios. It's the one sure way to brick a device. Is the phone recognized by your pc when you plug it in while its on the HTC screen?

When I plug it into the computer it makes the sound that it's connected and then I think it disconnects really quick, but the device doesn't even show up at all on my computer
When I plug it into the computer on bootloader mode it says something like USB bootloader. So I'm guessing my PC is recognizing it.

Are you able to enter hboot at all or is that what you mean when you say you can't enter recovery? If you can still get into hboot load a PD98IMG of a compatible radio from radio thread onto sdcard and enter hboot and it will prompt you. If you can't get to hboot by volume down and power then see if adb will recognize the device by typing "adb devices". If it sees your phone type "adb reboot downloader" and select bootloader.

Well I would try and pushing the radio IMG contained in the PD98IMG via adb the same way you got the current one on there. But if your phone can't be accessed with adb then it may be bricked. Try adb from both the HTC screen and from bootloader to see if it will recognize it with the "adb devices" command. If it lists your device then you may be able to push the radio IMG.
