My Nexus S is on 2.3.3 and I wiped everything on it so I can start fresh again. For some odd reason my YouTube doesn't work anymore. I see the app under manage apps & "all" but does not have an icon in my app drawer. Anyone have any idea how to resolve this?
Uninstall it and then re-download it from the market.

It doesn't even give me an option to. Under market and YouTube, I see the "Open" icon but its not highlighted. It won't let me open through there. You think downloading the same version of it and trying to install it would work?
Go to manage apps and then go to YouTube and uninstall from there.

In the native messaging app, attached images don't show a picture thumbnail like they do in third party apps like GO. Instead, there is a little play button and it opens a little media player. But on some ROMs that I've flashed, it has been an image thumbnail that would open an image. That leads me to believe that there is a setting somewhere that affects this. Is there a way to change how MMS behaves to attachments?

Is facebook messenger texting available on one s as it is available on one x. If it is how do i access it?
How long do you suspect it will take for native facebook?

120 views of people saying haha and clicking back? Anything Facebook is a wakelock inducing, time draining waste of resources. Use the web Site or, better yet, cut the cord on the data mining myspace of 2013.
Yeh I'm sorry but I like to talk to people

Too long.
But other question: How do I disable this annoying auto-rotate, even auto-rotate is off in system settings? >.<
Setting accessibility auto rotate screen unchecked

Screen rotation is already unchecked.
Then try settings display and gestures autj rotate screen

Unchecked, too. Every other app is locked, only Facebook Messenger keeps rotating...
Ask on Google play sorry I don't know

Odd, mine doesn't auto-rotate once I uncheck the box in settings. As for texting via Facebook messenger.. that was recently added wasn't it? I tried sending a message earlier and asked if I wanted via the texting app, messenger..
Lol I reinstalled messenger and now it doesn't rotate any more...

If you already have Facebook app installed, why do you want to install messenger? You can use the messenger inside the app. At least is what i do .

faster + hopefully work as messaging hub
On the other hand, i don't use Facebook messenger very often. I prefer Whatsup for faster communication.
Menu => Settings => SMS/MMS => tick enabled
For some reason, even after I clear app defaults, you tube does not show up as a selectable option when I click on a youtube link within facebook. My research revealed there was a line in build.prop that started with ro.da1 or something you can edit in the past, but I cannot find anything similar in my build.prop. Any ideas?

have your cleared app defaults for youtube or for the app you're geting the link with?
I'm on Maximus, it does ask browser/YouTube app.
stupid thing is it opens browser up (probably tri speed up the time to watch video) before asking browser/YouTube app.
So after watching the video on the YouTube app I still have to close the browser that it opened.
