I have all of the images in the res/drawable-hdpi file like they need to be, what's the next step? I have googled the crap out of this subject and I cannot find an answer that makes sense. I'm sorry if this is obvious but I need help.

They have to have the correct name to be called out
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
And depending in in the rom you might have to edit 2 XML files to add the 1% settings
Sent from my A500 using Tapatalk 2
Well I think the names are right. I did hear somewhere that you have to edit the xml, but I'm not sure exactly what needs to be edited. If I can get someone to walk me through this ill definitely make a how-to for future reference.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
Yeah if you're trying to mod it for a TW rom you have to edit 2 xml files in res/drawable. They are:
stat_sys_battery.xml
stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
You have to change them so they read from 0-100 that way the 100% battery mod actually reads correctly. You'll see right away what needs to be changed. And make sure you have all the png's in the right folder and they are named correctly.
After that recompile and in the folder that was created when you decompiled should be a new folder called Build or something like that, the new apk is in there. Then you have to take the meta-inf folder and androidmanifest.xml from the ORIGINAL apk and copy them into the new one with 7zip or whatever you use. Zipalign and it's ready. Either push it to system/app with ADB or pack it into a flashable zip and have at it.

Some of the apps on my phone can read the xml, but when I swapped them out using ninjamorph it broke my SystemUI. After a reboot my battery Icon is gone completely. I'm guessing I'll still have to decompile and recompile.

I have the images in my res/drawable-hdmi folder already, I just haven't had time to see if I can figure out the 1% increments. If you could help that would save me time? Want a copy of my systemui? If rather you use that opposed to pulling a copy from the stock ROM seeing as I have ask the battery images and my modified 4G LTE icons already in place.

Are you talking about it changing the name to framework-res.apk? If so you just rename it back to twframework-res.apk and your good. Just push it to system/framework. Of course that's after you extract it.

I've only been cooking the regular framework-res files, haven't tried a tw file through UOT yet. I've been changing them manually, because there were only a few things I wanted to change
I am so lost with this uot thing. haha. i have been trying for 2 days. I did everything the site said but when I go to recovery and install the zip, nothing happens. I am currenty running the ICBINB rom. If this rom isn't compatible to use the UOT which one is, if any? Or how do I go about changing colors and stuff? I am sorry to post a "noob" question, I really have been trying for days to do it by myself!
Oh forgot to mention, it did change the font. But that is it.
Try manually pushing it to the system instead of flashing it then reboot
dumb question, but what do you mean manually push it? I just want to make sure I do everything right Thanks!

You manually push files by using a root explorer. Copy and paste/overwrite it into the proper folder it's supposed to be into. For instance, pushing an apk would require you to copy it and paste it into /system/app.
oooh! lol so I just take the two framework files and put them on my sd card, then overwrite the ones already therE?
Got it now! Everything is awesome, just didn't change the boot animation, but I can live with that!
Does anyone know how to mod the power off menu like adding reboot recovery and download mode?

Use Root Explorer. Name the old SystemUI.apk to SystemUI.bak just in case somemthing goes wrong(Pay attention to permissions). Paste the NEW SystemUI.apk into the System/App folder, set permissions and reboot.

Sure. Use your root file browser to get to the /system directory. Replace the system.ui file that is there with Bigfau's modded version.

The status bar should disappear when you rename it. That is normal. After you paste the modded version in the /system directory, the status bar isn't going to come back until you reboot.
If you rebooted already, I would double check that the file is there.
I do it,happy too. Now I'm testing it.

Just flashed this. Nice boost in bass and mids. It works great. I'm using it with Raver's MIUI rom, but it should work on any GB rom. Nice find.
On Valhalla Black, it didn't install correctly. None of the files contained in the zip are actually there after flashing it.
After reading the original thread, this appears to be a known problem with the installer script.

I'll delete the files it placed and see if it made a difference, but I know after I flashed it I had to turn off my EQ cause my speakers started popping, so it must have done something.
thats because yoru going to wind up with 2 versions of the lib cyogin dsp lib visualalizer etc so on so forth
as it copies them to the lib directory when in fact it resides in lib/soundfx
update put the files where i beleve they should reside dont really hear any diffrence when trying to activate dsp it causes the dsp to force close after about 20 seconds time to logcat

it doesnt delete anything from VB You will wind up with 2 copies of the files in the lib folder
the ones in the lib sfx folder are what came with vb
the ones that are identically named like libcygwin so etc that are in the lib folder are the ones that were copied from the flashable...
as i said its makeing 2 copies because it doesnt modify the origonal it just causes a resource conflct as u have 2 files of the same type in 2 locations trying to do the same thing

100 percent i know cause i tried it with putting the actuall bin files in the proper folders and the diffrence is 100 percent apprent right from the git go before dsp eats itself...
it does require dsp activation for the files to actually start doing anything as its an effect based process
