I'm currently running a Cricket SGS3 (model SCH-R530C device name d2cri) and I am looking for a pit file or a method to create one. I have a dump of the partition information already but I'm clueless where to go from here.
I'm working on an Odin file for the cricket s3 and having the pit file would help me to create a more thorough approach to restore our bricked s3s. Numerous people have bricked their cricket s3 because they didn't read and flashed one of various roms for the other s3 variants and I guess I'm trying to fix stupid
Check this thread (last page or two) and the one linked by EVA on the last page.

That should give you some direction to where to start looking for it in the system dump you have.
Ralekdev and invisiblek would also be valuable resources (they're usually in irc.freenode.net #verizons-3)

I routed my skyrocket with the one click root. During setting it up afterwards I noticed the three gallery app was missing. I reinstalled the stock Rom to unroot. (Had problems but overcame them... different topic) Tried the superuser root method with the same results and noticed the buddy widget was also missing. Reloaded stock and haven't rooted since. Anyone have any ideas why I would lose apps and how to prevent it next time I try to root? Oh I did a Nandroid backup before the second root but the MD5 was corrupted when I tried to restore from it. Thanks inn advance for any help our suggestions.

fluke, I've never heard of this. U must have done something
The first time,I thought I may have accidentally deleted it, the second time I had just finished rooting and checked for the gallery right after that and it was missing again. It was there prior to rooting.

[/COLOR]How is it possible to accidentally delete the gallery? Rooting does not delete apps.....eother u flashed a rom with gallery missing or you deleted the gallery. And cant figure out how to get it back....so we need more info???? Be honest and elaborate please...
Flashing any rom. Would give u gallery back. Unless you found one
missing the gallery.
Use an alternate... I use QuickPic (free in Market.. or should I say PlayStore)... better and more reliable than Gallery.
Really. Thanks gpna check that put now.

Try rooting with the Odin method. Its in the dev section. Not is it only the best root method IMO, but it gets you familiar with Odin. Which is essential.

I think I Odin the first time and
Superoneclick the second. Haven't really had time (or desire) to try it again.

I was hoping to find a thread with all the different kernels that are flashable with verizon galaxy s3. If i do a search for kernels it comes up with every post with the word kernel in it.
I know the big one are Ziggy's kernel and the Imo kernel.
Most devs give you a choice of kernels in Aroma for their roms
What I think would be useful a page featuring kernel name, features of kernel and link to flash.
Thanks
Not finding it either but this stuff helps

Thanks for the input and wasn't sure where to put it, I thought general would be OK.
Anyone else having trouble with Performance settings not sticking? They will stick for a while, but after a reboot the revert back to stock(even with it set up to remember settings after reboot). Superuser is being denied after reboot to allow its changes to the Performance Settings.
I can't post in the DEV thread yet, or I would have.

Anyone? Or at least post this in the CarbonRom thread so I can get an answer. I've tried full wipes, flashing different versions of the ROM and even reverting to stock and starting completely from scratch. Any help or suggestions would be great.

A lot of the files links appear to be broken - or is it just me? Trying to return Infuse to stock but the files can't be found?

I think I may have finally done it. I flashed the latest slim rom (vers 6) today, booted into the ROM and set it up. No problems. Then I flashed faux mainline kernel. I followed the instructions for the kernel install, and hit reboot as last step. The phone shut off and did not reboot. I am now unable to turn on, boot into recovery, or download mode. When I attempt to connect to the PC to try and ODIN back to stock, the phone will not connect to the PC. I have the latest Samsung drivers installed and have connected to my PC previously with no problems. I know I downloaded and installed the right version for my phone, I have flashed kernels many times before.
Am I screwed now? I have insurance on the phone, but really would like to get the phone back from the grave if at all possible. Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.
Never heard of the kernel ... Got a link to it???

Going through the history of my browser, it looks like I did a bone head and flashed a Nexus 4 kernel to my VZ GS3. Am I screwed?
Possibly ... Your kernel tells your phone what to do and how to do it ... If you can't get Odin to connect there's a big issues but I've never flashed a wrong kernel so research around a bit for more info ... You can't get into download mode or recovery mode??

Might need to either send it in for JTAG or spend the money to get the insurance replacement
