What is it ?
Plain BML stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 AntonX Barebone ROM.
Deodexed, so can be applied with tweaks.
Fully added Hebrew translation (in addition to English), applied with Right-To-Left tweak (when needed).
Debloated : WiFi Calling, T-mobile my acount and my device, Talkback, ThinkDroid Office, Android Keyboard (put Samsung keyboard instead), Voice dialer.
Added : Audio DSP Manager, Memo, Sidekick KD1 modem, ICS boot animation.
Optional Odexer script attached.
Why ?
If you speak Hebrew and you want the latest stock firmware for SGH-T959V with full Hebrew support and UI, this is the ROM for you.
To get even faster results flash the odexer script right after the ROM and you'll get your ROM odexed.
It should be more stable, clean and reliable than HebrewValhalla.
Oh, and WiFi tethering, TV Out, soft keys - all work...
How to apply
Requires BML file system with GB bootloaders.
If you're on MTD file system (CM7/ICS/JB) or Froyo - use Heimdall One Click back to stock with Root and flash via CWM (followed by the odexer script).
Please note : if you booted to the deodexed ROM without flashing the odexer script later
and you want to odex the ROM now - wipe dalvik cache before applying the odexer.

Tried to flash your rom like this :
1. flashed stock kg4 via odin
2. rebooted
3. Flashed AntonX 1.1.3 kernel via odin
4. Rebooted while partition were converted
5. got into cwm and flashed your rom
Wifi does not work. Tried it AT LEAST 3 times.
Please advise,
Thanks
Update : also tried it with the KJ6 you posted on iandroid and the wifi still doesnt work
The wifi DOES WORK with stock rom
Update #2 : flashed antonx 1.1.3 barebone rom with the rtl patch i kept from while ago and the wifi works
BTW after flashing the Heimdall package - in it's CWM menu you cant delete dalvik cache (it like fast reboots/restes the CWM mwnu)
Just checking... have you tried flashing the rom again after wifi fails?
Hi
Yes, But not on top of the non wifi working rom, but of fresh stock rom installation
Reflash it on the non-wifi working. Sometimes the wifi module doesn't flash quite right the first time, and it takes another go. Since everything else basically sticks around, as long as you don't wipe between your non-wifi-working and the reflash, sometimes that makes it work... when that happens, it usually ends up being that your recovery turned off the system mount before it actually was done. Oops.
Hi Fish
I have been using this ROM for weeks. You are doing things wrong. Leave Odin aside.
Use Heimdall package posted in OP (verify everything works) and just flash the ROM (you can skip the Voodoo lagfix procedure, it's automatic).
It will all be to your satisfactory.

Ok Itzik,
Although i did it, I will do it now once again and will let you know wazzup.
Update : After flashing heimdall - wifi does not work Will try to flash some other stock or find other rom as a base
Update 2 : I give up for now.I'll try to make the cm9.1 work since it's really frustrating to me and I can mess too much with the phone and miss sms and calls. maybe will try it late at night in one of the upcoming days.
Thank you
Hi Fish
OK, we know now that the ROM is not the problem. I'll tell you what you can do; try to remove the battery, press the power button for 10 seconds and then leave phone untouched for 15 minutes. Return the battery and get to download mode.
Now make a 2 steps Heimdall. The one by Lumin (stock unrooted) and the AntonX kernel Heimdall package. Verify that you have WiFi and flash this ROM (followed by the odexer). Good luck!

Well....What i did is :
1. Flashed stock KG4 2.3.6 rom via odin
2. rebooted system
3. Flashed Antonx 1.1.3 Kernel via odin
4. Rebooted
5. Flashed via CWM one after the other : anotnx deodexed 1.13 rom AND 0.93 hebfix patch itzik2sh made a while ago which i kept
Now it's on antonx 1.1.3 rom + hebrew support and wifi WORKS
Hi Fish
You keep doing things not according to instructions and what you post here is not even this ROM.
This ROM is full UI Hebrew enabled, already includes RTL fix and I do not recommend using Odin any more.
You can now take a nandroid backup and flash this ROM (and odexer), otherwise I don't see the relevance of this post.

You said the problems you had came on Heimdall flash, even before ROM flash itself.

So, I saw no relevance to that post, unless you now back up and flash this ROM (and optionally the odexer), as I already suggested and find a problem there.

I've made an Odin flashable KC1 ROM with CWM already built in. It even boots up to CWM right after flashing to speed up your recovery! Now you can flash your favorite ROM and restore your nandroid backup and be ready to go!
FEATURES
Stock deodexed KC1 ROM (Whitehawkx)
* Root
* Busybox
* Quickboot
Bali 3.3 UV
* Voodoo lagfix enabled by default
* CWM recovery
NOTES
1) CWM will try to enable the Voodoo lagfix since it's the default option, so the first boot might take longer than you want it to if you wind up booting into the phone at all.
2) I noticed a glitch in the boot startup animation. It flashed back and forth between the T-Mobile pink bootup animation and the default Android boot animation.
3) This WILL delete all your data, so make a backup to your SD card, then back up your SD card to your PC.
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Download the file to your Windows PC
2) Extract the 7-Zip file using a compatible program, such as 7-Zip
3) Load up the file in Odin
4) Flash
5) Success!

Yup, just look for a ROM that's for Odin and is stock, preferably not deodexed if you're gonna send in your phone for warranty, etc.
What version is KC1?
Kc1 froyo, you mean?

yeah it's kc1 froyo just with recovery added. Put's you to recovery just after you Odin it. Nice to have. And as always thanks to the op.
@FB
Flashed this and booted into Red CWM but when I try to flash a ROM I get a cache error. I cannot flash anything in CWM. I cannot mount my cache in storage and mounts. Any ideas?
I'm on Audiophile Bump in Trunk and had no problems using CWM while running on it.

Thank you Raver for the tip of removing the boot animation :O)
Excellent rom !!! Thank you so much for creating this easy to use rooted and dedoxed rom :O) It has become the base rom I Odin whenever I want to test new rom on my phone. It also allow me to push hebrew to the phone (Only after installing another rom on top of that like Redux 1.3.X), And It deals automatically with some EXT4 mixed partitions I created from other roms which got messy prior to this rom. You have done a GREAT service to our community by creating this rom. Job AMAZINGLY DONE !

This is kc1 first froyo release before kb then kd then gb
Hello!
I just got a pretty good deal on a stock Froyo Infuse 4G, so I bought it.
A little help please! I would love to have the stock ATT rom with the ability to overclock the processor. This is was I have done so far.. plrease don't be so hard on me since this is my first non-HTC device lol.
So the first thing I did was install a "leaked" Gingerbread ATT stock rom using a program called Odin. Then, I root it using that Superoneclick software... I actually clicked a million times instead trying to get it working because I had GingerBread instead of Froyo ... but somehow managed to do it, it is properly rooted and well tested. So! now with my rooted device, I downloaded Rom Manager from the market, flashed it succesfully (at least that's what the screen said)... and when trying to boot into CWM Recovery I got the following errors:
verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
installation aborted.
I tried to flash it via RomManager several times, also did it via SD-Card renaming it to Update.zip and flashing it with the stock recovery.. same error. I searched for more information, someone in the forum said the reason could be an incompatible Kernel, so I flashed the Community V8 Kernel... and my device didn't boot past the Samsung screen... but somehow if I tried manaully to get into CWM recovery, it worked! (just the recovery). Flashed a custom rom that I didn't like... then suddenly I lost the CWM Recovery and cannot then bricked it and was unable to flash it again..
I managed to restore the phone to ATT factory condition using a guide here on Xda (this time the phone kept the leaked GB rom)... then rooted it again and haven't done anything else. Mu question is:
How can I keep this stock rom with the ability to overclock the processor? (flashing different kernels just makes it freeze on boot at Samsung logo).
Thanks for your help!::
here a good start by me:

Thanks, it is a useful link but I still don't find the answer to my question (or maybe I just don't undertand it).
I am beyond frustration... could anyone please tell me what to do to step by step to flash an overclockable Kernel keeping my GingerBread stock ATT rom? like if you were explaining it to a retarded person?
many thanks...

1. You need to restore you phone back to stock using gtg's unbrick or heimdall 1 click. (See my post)
2. ATT's GB latest is not rootable thru SOC. You can use odin to flash an insecure kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1212485) but you will also need to update superuser binaries and busybox as well. Running the insecure kernel for OC, you will lose the video recorder and video player.
It doesn't sound like you can understand enough yet to do this.
3. If you want a stock att and rooted, go to the dev section:
check out zeus stock 5.2, vagabond or victory. These are GB stock base roms with root already done. There is also dman's deodexed, rooted gb uclb3 already with oc kernel...no video

The first step has been done, restored the phone using Heimdall one click after bricking it, the phone was restored with a UCKJ4 2.36 GingerBread stock ATT rom (Kernel 2.6.35.7-I997uckj4-cl694350) and I am also rooted using SuperOneClick.
I don't fully understand step two, will try it once I get some more knowledge.
Question about the third step... does HDMI work in any of those custom stock roms? I use HDMI a lot.

I want to keep all in one place to make them more convenience to everyone. because it's hard to trace back where they are!
SOMETHING EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT FP1 (information collected from reading many posts, credit goes to OP):
*** Stock EP4D (Factory rom/kernel/radio) flash with ODIN:
http://www.imnuts.org/odin-packages/ - ODIN
look for this " EP4 (Android 2.3) CI510_VZW_EP4_ALL_ONE-LTE-CP_REV03_user_CL706183_ship.tar.md5 "
1. Issue with FP1 rom using custom kernel - If you are on FP1 and using custom kernel like PBJ, Tweakstock, Imoseyon 4.0, your wifi will not work. Currently there is no solution, some suggested methods, but didn't work. We just have to wait for a new/mod custom Kernel to support the Fp1 wifi. If wifi is critical to you and you want to stay on Fp1, you have no choice but use FP1 stock kernel.
2. Custom rom upgrade to FP1 deodexed/debloated/rooted rom (NO FP1 kernel) - If you are on custom rom with CWM installed and want upgrade to Nitro's deodexed/debloated/root or deodexed/bloated/root, "Easiest thing to do is take Nitro's stock deodexed/rooted/debloated or bloated rom and place it on your sdcard. Then use clockworkmod to flash this rom. Nitro has removed the script that overwrites the stock recovery in this rom so you do not need to worry about it coming back.
3. Custom rom upgrade to factory FP1 with root and cwm (with FP1 kernel) - If you are on Tweakstock/Eclipse and would like to move to FP1, first you have to ODIN back to stock EP4D, then download the Factory FP1 package (http://www.mediafire.com/?zxnfxmmcoky81sz), rename the this package to update.zip, place it on your SD card, then use STOCK recovery to flash this update.zip. Reboot phone then shut it back down then Odin cwm (0302 blue latest version- http://imnuts.net/zU2jkn) with "reboot" option unchecked, after completed, pull the battery, reinstall battery, hold down volume up+home+power to boot into cwm, flash Super user package zip (Superuser-3.0.7-efgh-signed.zip - http://www.mediafire.com/?dowo6gy34oclutq ). Reboot phone. Use root explore go to /system/ect/install-recovery.sh script, tab on mount R/W button (upper top). long press on the script and in the popup menu, select permission, unchecked all permission. Shutdown phone, re-Odin cwm again, once done reboot, now cwm should stick. If some how you lost root permission, download superuser fix from the market and run it.(no reboot required).
4. Cutom rom upgrade to FP1 radio only (NO FP1 kernel) - If you are on Tweakstock/Eclipse and just want to update the new FP1 radio, simply just download (http://bit.ly/GE6IVa) and flash it using cwm. Make sure mount /system before flashing (wipe cache/davik cache are recommended). The key here you must already on EP4D radio for this patch to work. You can update your modem to EP4D (EP4 modem can be found here -( http://bit.ly/uZljNM ) . Unzip and Odin this EP4D modem file before you flash FP1 radio with cwm.You can be on custom rom or kernel while flashing this. It should work fine.
5. How to root a pure stock FP1 and make CWM stick after reboot - Turn off your phone, use ODIN to flash CWM (0302 blue latest version - http://imnuts.net/zU2jkn) with "reboot" option unchecked,
After completed, disconnect the usb cable, pull the battery, reinstall battery, hold down volume up+home+power to boot into cwm,
(if you failed to boot into cwm and your phone boot up you have to redo the process). Now flash Super user package zip (Superuser-3.0.7-efgh-signed.zip - and su-bin-3.0.3.2-efghi-signed.zip (both can be download from here (look for Gingerbread) : http://androidsu.com/superuser/
Reboot phone. Use Root explore (or Root browser lite or ES file explorer) go to /system/ect/install-recovery.sh script, tab on mount R/W button (upper top). Long press on the script and in the popup menu, select permission, unchecked all permission then save the file.
Shutdown phone, re-Odin cwm again, once done reboot, now cwm should stick. Once phone came up, to verify root on your phone, you can download "root checker basic" from the Market. If you have issue, download "superuser update fixer" app from the market and run it.(no reboot required). That's it.
*** There is a quicker way to root, is just flash cwm, without reboot phone, boot straight into cwm then flash rom from item C (bloated/rooted) or D (debloated/rooted).. Once rooted, just remove permission from file "install-recovery.sh" with root explorer or something similar, turn off phone, then Odin cwm again. Reboot and you're done.
6. Stop OTA notification fix - by RWnube
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/21207-stop-ota-notification/page__p__571859#entry571859
Basically, just change the word EP4 to FP1 in this line (in the build.prop file):
ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/SCH-I510/SCH-I510:2.3.6/GINGERBREAD/EP4:user/release-keys
change to:
ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/SCH-I510/SCH-I510:2.3.6/GINGERBREAD/FP1:user/release-keys
7. Upgrade from rooted pure stock EP4D to FP1 - Most of ppl mistaken that they have a pure factory rooted EP4D, when they tried the OTA update they ended up with boot loop. OTA upgrade will work with pure factory stock rom with root, meaning factory rooted stock EP4D kernel, stock EP4D rom and stock EP4D radio. After the upgrade you will lose root, just follow the instruction #5 to get root and cwm back. If you don't have what I listed above, you should follow instruction #3 to first get back to stock EP4D then upgrade to FP1, (the following FP1 rom already have root build in - Item C,D,E).
8. ***A better way to upgrade since the release of stock FP1 kernel by shrike1978 (http://www.mediafire.com/?ns38atiw1d7er5x - Odin version) and Dwitherell (http://goo.gl/pGgxT - cwm version) - If you have custom EP4 rom with custom kernel or stock rooted EP4 rom, you can:
1. Flash item C,D,E or FP1 Eclipse 2.0 (your choice, pick one that you like).
2. Flash FP1 kernel with either Odin or cwm
3. Flash FP1 radio (you must have EP4D radio already installed in order to flash this radio).

Yes. You only need ep4d if you want to update radios, nothing else.

If you want FP1 kernel you have to odin back to stock ep4d then use factory recovery to flash FP1. This included FP1 kernel and radio. Currently this is the ONLY way to update to FP1 kernel. All other packages (bloated/debloated/deodexed), they don't have the FP1 kernel. If you follow step 3, you will have FP1 kernel, radio, cwm and rooted.

I don't have cracks and pops with my radio, so can't speak for that. However, I found that the FP1 kernel is bit smoother and faster compared to old stock, and wifi increased 1 bar on my phone (this varies depend on your router manufacture), 4g + wifi locking super fast when turn on. I would think the new radio is better for sure. I would recommend to install the new radio at least then running anything else you want on top of that. Currently I'm checking the battery life with this FP1 rom. Will post update.

It is too early to tell. I'm hoping it will help with random data dropouts and occasional voice quality issues. Haven't had any issues, but it will take more time to really know.
So far so good...

Anecdotally, and with an egregiously small sample size, I seem to be getting (very) slightly better signal at my workplace, which has notoriously bad signal in the building. I'm looking at -98 to -95 dBm now, versus -100 dBm or worse before, however the difference could be small enough to be statistically irrelevant.
This is on 3G, as I work in a non-4G area.
Thanks for the credit but I didnt make that radio flashing patch.
Thanks everyone for the replies. Flashed the radio on top of eclipse and pbj. Time will tell for sure.

this is great stuff, thanks... question though:
last night, I flashed back to stock, then flashed in a debloated deodexed EP4D, then slapped on Eclipse v1.4 (http://eclipserom.com/vforum/showthread.php?72-ROM-Eclipse-Charge-v1-4-(2-28-12))
I downloaded to my SDCARD this file: http://eclipserom.com/vforum/showthread.php?658-ROM-FP1-Deodexed-Debloated-with-Eclipse-AOSP-apps
can I CWM this in, and then perform operation #1 (Issue with FP1 rom using custom kernel)
I do have the OTA update file stored on my SDCard... but haven't done anything with it...
thanks!
Credit for posting the stock OTA update to flash in stock recovery for FP1 should go to themortalwombat as he posted it initially I just fiked the link to make it clickable lol
Boot loop
Went back to Ep4D, copied the update to update.zip on SDCARD.
Updated with stock recovery.
Booted up to make sure that it was the new update (it was).
Shutdown and went into odin and flashed CWM.
Pulled battery and booted into CWM and flashed Charge-FP1-Eclipse01.zip.
Now I am in a boot loop. I have reflashed and then reflashed again then factory wiped and I am still boot looping.
Any ideas?
Rick
----
Update - Flashed the Charge-FP1-DeoDebloatedRooted.zip file (debloated, rooted) and it didn't boot loop. Perhaps something is amiss with the eclipse package that doesn't like the new kernel.

Yes, you have a wrong kernel for Nitro Eclipse. Instruction #2 said if you have a custom rom and want to update to Nitro's Eclipse. But since you flashed stock FP1, you now have FP1 kernel and this won't work with Eclispe.
Thanks for the info. I guess I am just stuck with the horrid color scheme until someone updates a custom ROM to FP1/kernel with a better theme.
I was also wondering if some of the devs might be able to get rid of the Verizon customer service app. I don't trust them (Verizon) and I am sure it also involves a ton more logging, i.e. tethering logging, etc.

[ODIN][UCLB3] AT&T 2.3.6 Gingerbread with root and CWM recovery option - Infuse 4g
ABOUT
--------------
These Odin flashable tar.md5 packages contain the stock AT&T 2.3.6 Gingerbread release for the Samsung Infuse 4G with root added.
For those who are interested, there are also rooted options below that have busybox and are deodexed and zipaligned. An option is also provided below that includes CWM recovery and a few extras.
These rooted Odin packages do not contain bootloaders. Have rainbow distortion and want GB bootloaders to fix that? See question 1.) in the FAQ below for an explanation, warning, and link to a separate package that contains and flashes Gingerbread bootloaders.
The first two versions below use the stock UCLB3 kernel and have stock recovery. The third option below uses Entropy's Daily Driver (April 5th, 2012 test kernel with working MHL HDMI out), and includes red CWM recovery. For more information about Entropy512's kernel, go HERE.
INSTALL
--------------
1.) Download Odin from HERE and extract the program from the .zip file.
2.) Download the version you want. Use a program like 7zip to extract the Odin flashable tar.md5 from the .rar file.:

Want to try some different kernels, like Zen Arcade's Infusion-Z? Odin kernel packages are HERE.
3.) Install Samsung Kies to install the latest Samsung USB drivers. This can be found HERE.
Reboot PC. Then, attach phone via USB, and allow drivers to install.
4.) In recovery, wipe all user data and wipe all cache data, BEFORE flashing. If you don't do this, I can't guarantee that your phone won't loop at the AT&T boot animation, or that you won't have other issues.
Put phone in Recovery Mode (Turn phone off, disconnect USB cable, hold power button and both volume buttons, release power button when Samsung logo appears, continue to hold volume buttons until recovery screen appears.). In recovery, choose and follow prompts for options to wipe user data and to wipe cache data.
5.) Place phone in Download Mode (Remove battery, hold down both volume buttons, replace battery, attach USB cable, and then continue to hold volume buttons until the phone enters Download Mode.).
6.) With phone in Download Mode, open the Odin exe. In Odin, if the phone is recognized, the window under ID:COM will turn yellow.
7.) In Odin, click on "PDA" and browse to the tar.md5.
8.) Select the tar.md5. Make sure it shows up in the PDA window, and then click on Start. Do not power off or disconnect the phone while Odin flashes the package and reboots the phone.
9.) You're finished. You now have stock AT&T 2.3.6 Gingerbread (UCLB3) with root.
NOTES
----------------
a.) If you skipped step 4.) and your phone boot loops at the AT&T boot animation, hold down the power button and both volume buttons until you enter recovery. In recovery, wipe all user data and wipe all cache data. Reboot and the phone will boot into rooted 2.3.6 Gingerbread.
b.) If everything has been done correctly, the Setup Wizard will appear when you first boot Gingerbread. If the phone first boots into Gingerbread, and you don't get the Setup Wizard, go to Settings / Privacy / Factory data reset and choose "Reset Phone".
FAQ
-----------------
1.) I have rainbow distortion in recovery or in the boot animation. How can I get Gingerbread bootloaders to fix this?:
You can download THIS .rar file, extract using 7zip, and flash the tar.md5 package in Odin (use the pda slot). Flashing Gingerbread bootloaders will correct rainbow distortion in recovery and in the boot animation. Only flash these if you are having issues with rainbow distortion, and only if you have had success flashing other, less dangerous items in Odin. If something happens to cause a flash of these bootloaders to fail, then you run the risk of bricking your phone. See THIS post and THIS post for more of an explanation of why bootloaders weren't included in the rooted UCLB3 Odin packages.
2.) Isn't there a way to root stock UCLB3 Gingerbread without flashing these Odin packages?:
Yes. See THIS how-to thread that I put together for an explanation of how to root stock UCLB3.
3.) How do I get CWM recovery if I flashed a version with the stock kernel?:
If you didn't flash Option C with CWM recovery already included, you can flash a custom kernel that includes CWM recovery by using SGS Kernel Flasher on the phone. Find and install SGS Kernel Flasher in Android Market / Google Play Store. Then, place the zImage of a compatible custom kernel that includes CWM recovery on your internal sdcard, and flash using SGS Kernel Flasher. Entropy's Daily Driver, includes red CWM recovery, and can be found HERE.
4.) My phone is displaying something that looks like this: Phone-!-PC. What is this, and can I use these Odin packages from here?
That is still download mode. If you reach that screen, a flash has been interrupted or has failed, and you are in a type of backup download mode. Reset Odin, and start over with your flash. These packages will flash in this mode, just as they will in regular download mode.

Hope this helps someone out. Please use this thread for any questions or comments about using the Odin packages. It's okay to ask UCLB3 related questions here also, but remember, I didn't create the firmware. That one is on Samsung / AT&T, and these are just packages provided to make it easier to get root and /or CWM recovery with that firmware.
Good Job, bro.

Cant tell about this for sure. I've used only UCLB3 stock and [UCBL3] [Dev]astation [2.3.6]. First is good and have many usefull functions and they are working fine (fast GPS, Car Holder, correct bluetoth and many other). Second one is a lot faster but not all functions are working, GPS is realy slow also stability is not so great for me. Right now current your ROM is good for me becouse it has thing that I needed being on UCLB3 - ROOT. If deodexed version will add speed and will not make this ROM less stable, than people will love it. Me for sure =)

This will just optimize system apps and framework stuff that depends on .odex files, and will make it easier to mod system and framework files. Nothing major; everything will still work like stock. I'll keep the stock version available also.

I was curious, mostly.
2 wks ago, I had put together a method to root the UCLB3 when we saw a spike in how to root this thing in the Q/A everyday. It consisted of a cwm-flashable that installed busybox and superuser, then deleted most ATT bloats. And then installed google talk video from the G-Nex.
To get to cwm, I had a Heimdall-1-click of Entropy's DD kernel. I suppose any GB insecure kernel would work too. Entropy's latest would be nice because it would also have HDMI and CWM recovery.
After the kernel flash, you can boot into recovery and flash the cwm package.
And then UCLB3 would be "rooted", busybox and SuperUser.apk. Plus some bonuses (Gtalk, Gvoice, Terminal Emulator and minus ATT bloats. It was painful but I left Facebook and a few others in place)
Once you started with the Tar for Odin, I made a Heimdall-1-click for this rooted ROM as well. What was odd was that I had corrected the vold.fstab for the external sdcard access, before copying over the factory.rfs.
After the package was put together, the vold.fstab reverted back to mm2 instead of mm1 for the stock kernel.
Odd...
I didn't know if that happened to you or not.
Anyway, imo, I don't think you need to worry about another version with Entropy'd DD, I think most users should be able to use SGS-Kernel flasher to get to cwm.
About the deodex aspect, dman already made up a deodex version...I thought it was odd that others didn't use it. It may also be redundant too, but that's just my opinion.
I think the Odex apk do not make dalvik caches. Thereby, have a fast boot time and less chance of cache corruption. I've been using the odex rooted version with the stock kernel, and have noted an initial lag, but after leaving the phone alone for 20 minutes, it is pretty responsive and snappy.
This stock rom is missing Lidroid's, Battery mod, and a few other things..but then, after you add those, lol..we are running vagabond, spartan, pharmnerd midagu's etc...
If anyone wants a heimdall 1 click...

Odin ftw .
Yeah, I get that great options have already been presented to do all of this. Didn't mean to step on any toes.
Some posters were asking for an Odin option, so I made one. I personally prefer Heimdall myself, but maybe Odin is easier for some.
This is mainly just another tool to get rooted stock UCLB3. Hopefully it helps some.
When I get home, I'll still do a deodexed version, but agree that it's easy enough to use SGS Kernel Flasher to get CWM recovery.

qkster, that didn't happen to me when I made this package. But, that is probably because of the process I used to get the factoryfs.rfs. I got everything exactly how I wanted on the phone, including setting up vold.fstab after switching kernels back and forth during the root process, and then I did a system dump using dd on the phone after doing a factory reset.

This is the Stock Official ROGERS/Samsung Released Firmware for the SGH-I727R (Skyrocket) based on Android Platform 4.0.4 aka ICS. It is targeted for:
* Anyone who wants to be on the stock release, doesn't want to use ODIN.
* Wants to build a custom rom, and needs an official base. (see post #2)...
* Or, you just want a baseline.

Well it is Stock, untouched, except for the deodexing and zipaligned. Your kernel and radios will be updated as in the official update. The only thing I have left out is the recovery, and I can provide a flashable one later, if you really really want to be stock for any future OTA update. See the optional flash if you need busybox and su.
- DeOdexed as per my stringent process, no using Kitchen or any other nonsense. Every apk get's what it needs in the classpath.
- zipaligned.
- all ownsership and permissions exactly as in stock install.
- Untouched UXLF5 boot image (i.e kernel + ramdisk).
- Your radio/modem will be updated to UXLF3.
- [OPTIONAL] If you want to flash busybox/su see the ADD-ONS. This will effectively root your install.
- [OPTIONAL] If you want the modified boot.img that enables init.d scripts, bootanimation, insecure boot, then flash the boot.img listed in the add-ons

Pretty straight forward. The only requirement is you need CWM 5 and above (I have tested with the touch recovery). NOTE: THIS WILL WIPE DATA.
1) Backup, Nandroid preferred.
2) Download and Copy the ROM to your device. (Please make sure you check the MD5SUM, the dowload link has the correct one).
3) Copy any additional add-ons you want to your devices, internal or external sdcard.
4a) Boot into CWM recovery (remember that is the requirement).
4b) In your recovery format /system (in touch recovery it is under: "mounts and storage)
4c) wipe data and cache partition
5) Flash the ROM.
6) [OPTIONAL] If you want busybox and su (binaries only). This will ROOT your phone. Flash it now.
7) [OPTIONAL] If you WANT the modified boot.img (modified ramdisk + stock kernel) flash that.
8) [OPTIONAL] If you want to flash a *different* radio, flash it now.
9) reboot

one question, is there a way to unroot without flashing stock
edit: im guessing that there is no stock recovery in this rom, making it a stockish firmware
edit: i answered my own question about unrooting, just delete su from /bin and /xbin directories

Yup just deleting the binaries is enough to "unroot". I may update the op with the revert script (busybox and su) and the respective stock recovery, when i get chance..

Hi mohan,
Is there any way you could do the same for Rogers GB? It would be a great help for me. As ICS is crap I get RR and freezes. It doesn't get the right time zones and etc.
Incredible rom! Just had my skyrocket for 2 weeks, flashed 5-6 jb roms, vincoms the best imo, seanscreamz close behind.
I thought I'd come back to stock for a couple reasons. One, to get a baseline and see how good stock Rogers ics is battery wise, two, I can't seem to get nfc figured out and want to see if stock will do it. A co-worker has a stock ics sgs3, we can transfer apps, web addresses etc., but where he transferred a feature film to a different co-worker with a stock Rogers ics sgs3, via nfc in about 30 seconds, it fails with my skyrocket. I notice that their phones have sbeam in addition to nfc and android beam, maybe that's the difference. But I was wondering if there's issues transferring between ics and jb?
Thanks!

Sorry to double post but I thought this would be as good a place as any to post this. Went in to Rogers today to get my lte SIM card, to my surprise they didn't even charge me! I can't believe these speeds the screen shot shows the speed is double my Wi-Fi speeds at home! And look at the comparison to the 3g or H+ too, that's just sad. I'm expecting to pay for it battery wise but I can live with that for these speeds!
