OKAY [ 0.018s]
finished. total time: 0.018s
Then i used revolutionary tool and it made it S-OFF and showing Revolutionary on top now i want to root it and want to install CWM recovery on it but not able to unlock boot loader because it is not showing token please tell me what is wrong and what i have to done, its very important please..
You could try and instll 4Ext, and this should have been posten in General forum and not i Dev.
Why would you want to unlock your bootloader when you are S-Off? :S
Wrong section dude..

Look for the user-friendly firmware by Kohr-Ah.
Download the relevent one for the Android version you wish to install...
Remove phone battery
Put the PG58IMG.ZIP on your SD card (not in any folders)
Put SD card in phone, put battery back in
Hold vol down + power until bootloader screen comes up... Follow on-screen prompts
Flash a custom recovery (4ext preferred) using 4ext recovery updater or via ADB/Fastboot (put recovery.img in ADB folder, Start up CMD.exe ,CD to ADB folder eg cd c:/adb, then type fastboot flash recovery <nameofrecovery>.img
Tuts all over the place mate.
BTW This is the development section, the inappropriate location for a question like yours.

All these solutions are good to s-on mode too ? After i unlocked bootloader by htc dev i need not to set s-on just I need root to use some software like titanium backup etc.
I can too create a zip file withe the recovery.img and put it in sd root to automatically recognize it by fastboot mode ?

The HTCDEV unlock process will not physically turn S-OFF on in HBOOT. It simply allows you to flash new image files in either FASTBOOT mode or using the Android Flasher.
I don't know if unlocking the bootloader will allow you to create and flash unsigned PG88IMG.zip files. You could try it and report back on the results. I'm sure others would be interested in knowing the answer.

You should continue to get OTA notifications even though you are rooted, however, if you attempt to run the OTA update it will fail because you have a custom recovery in place.

Hi there! this worked for me
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1390496
another method
first unlock bootloader through htcdev.com it isn't a big deal
make sure you have installed android sdk
download recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-saga.img and Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip I've attached it
(rename recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-saga.img to recovery.img)so you can flash it easily
than download android fastboot tools I've attached it
extract the fastboot-tools.zip to lets say C:\android
check out the 11.jpg
now turn on your phone into bootloader to do that push volume button down and power button than go into fastboot and plug your phone into usb
than run command and go to folder that you created lest say cd c:\android
than type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
done you've installed clockworkmod recovery
Now it's time to root your phone.
put Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip to sdcard root folder means just move it sdcard no subfolder
start your phone into cwm recovery to do that turn of your phone and again press volume down and power button
than scroll to recovery via volume up and down button than push power button when recovery highlight
and cwm will start up than select install zip from sdcard go to the Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip and select yes
phone is rooted

You can't root the phone unless you've S-OFF'd it... trouble is with v2.00.002 Hboot, then Revoutionary won't work (requires 0.98.0000 or 0.98.0002).

Interesting! Try using 4EXT recovery? I find it better than CWM. Ext4 file systems, mount USB in recovery mode, etc.

In my opinion it is in any way better to s-off and not unlock with htcdev. anything you do will be much more easier when s-off (for example flashing ROM, no need to flash boot.img separately...) And also there's a bigger chance of voiding your warranty when using htcdev.

Hello. I had my HTC Sensation rooted, S-OFF and a custom ROM installed but the phone started playing up so I sent it back to HTC. They wiped the ROM and got rid of the recovery and changed the HBOOT to 1.27.0000 but my phone is still S-OFF!
I am puzzled however, how to get a custom recovery? There is no need for juopunutbear is there if my device is already S-OFF?
I want to have a custom recovery to install SuperSU and a custom ROM (Mike1887 Revolution Hd)
Any help?

your bootloader is not locked you just need to flah a new one and wrong section

It says 'Locked' at the top, is it just saying that when it is unlocked? And how do you flash a new recovery? I've done it numerous times before but I'm clueless?

Both of you do this
Get the control bear folder.. From my soff guide.. Link in my signature (don't worry you are not going to do soff procedure again..)
Extract the zip file and keep it somewhere
Connect the phone from bootloader/fast boot to pc
Open command prompt from the control bear folder.. (if windows hold shift + right click - open command windows here)
And type this
controlbear -i
That's all. You will have juop bootloader aka unlocked bootloader

Hello! I am from Russia Federation. I had a problem with unlocking htc sensation, with the command "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin" at the command prompt windows 7 leave message "sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB) ...
OKAY [0.156s]
writing 'unlocktoken' ...
FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
finished. total time: 0.170s "and nothing happens after all the double-checking. I can not find a solution, I think people from xda help me. on the phone a new motherboard. transfers to google transtale part, so sorry for the text of the curve
If you got a new motherboard, you can't unlock with HTCDev, use Juopunutbear (http://unlimited.io) to S-OFF instead
there is a project for different imei after replacing motherboard(that's why you are failing in achieving htcdev method)
but i don't remember anymore where it is
do as above user suggested
How do I know if the motherboard is replaced?
Hi,
I have the same problem as the opener of this post. How do I know if the motherboard has been replaced? I just bought is as a second hand.
Just fyi.
Output from Terminal:
./fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)... OKAY
writing 'unlocktoken'... FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
Specifications:
Hboot 1.27
Model number: HTC Sensation Z710e (--> that is Sensation (EU) is supose on the HTCdev.com website? I am in the Netherlands..)
Android is: 4.0.3
USB debugging is checked.

Thanks very much for the reply.
I checked the data from the terminal with the box.
Serial numbers are similar, but the IMEI numbers are different.
I guess this means the logicboard has been changed then and it will be safe to use the other unlock mechanism.
Appreciate the quick reply!

I have tried searching around, but there is so much information, and I don't understand when something is for the people that unlocked via HTCdev.com or via this method.
Thank you for understanding
btw I am on Mac OS X or Linux...
I have already tried to follow http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_pyramid
everything worked until installing from the zip in recovery.
Everything OK until the wipe data/factory reset. But the next step didn't work out.
There was no choice to install zip from sdcard
I chose "Update from external storage" but that got me back into the main menu of Recovery.

then from my signature go to 4ext recovery thread and download the 4ext updater
from that app download and install 4ext recovery touch
after that reboot your device to 4ext recovery

flash the new rom

finally flash the new rom from recovery
Thanks for the info. I will have a look at it.
In the mean time I have found a dutch guide, but that is not exactly working as well..
1. I did install ClockWorkRecovery by putting PG58IMG. on the SD card. and installing it from Hboot.
I fixed this! I had the SD card formated in MAC OS as Master Boot Record, apparently that is not compatible. After reformatting the SD Card in a camera it mounted!
Step 2 would be to root via su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed. But everytime I try, CWR says the SD card cannot be mounted "error mounting /sdcard".
I have tried formatting, fixing permissions, manually mounting SD and redid everything about 5 times. But I cannot find out how to get the SD card mounted..

Hello!!!
I have one problem with my sensation bootloader unlock. I took Unlock_code with HTCdev site and I start the unlock screen appears, yes or no, and when I click yes and power button phone freezes. Also when I run reboot bootloader also freeze. He prayed to for help. Pictures are attached.
P.S. Also when you are fallen cell phone shows HTC logo and go to end reboot reboot and when I go into recovery then get an error shown in Fig.
Sorry for my bad english.
If you want to unlock your bootloader to flash custom ROMs or a custom recovery, then I would suggest you to s-off your sensation since the HTC Dev unlock won't work.
The s-off method by ganeshp is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26280760
Read the thread carefully, and if you need the windows version for juonuput s-off then shoot me a PM and ask me for it. Recovery.io only supports Linux (as for now)
You can also install Ubuntu on your PC to use the Linux version.
