Hey there guys I got the HTC Sensation 4g with a brand me Anker 1900 mAh battery which seems to do pretty good job but a few days ago I flashed TouchCream 2.1 Rom with the latest Faux123 kernel, everything is good with this but my battery has a weird issue It stays on 100% for about 2hours and than starts to drop rapidly even without use, I did a bettery calibration after a whole night of charge the battery was at 4212mV but even after this the issue is there, stays at 100% for 2hours and than drops rapidly... any advices on how to fix this issue?
Thanks!
Check TouchCream 2.1 thread to see if anyone had/has such issue(s). I'd say try a new ROM and see if that persist. If it does, re-calibrate. If issue is not solved, the problem is the battery then I suppose.
Enjoy!
thank you

I have a known issue.. but with a twist
When.my battery is showing that there is like 90% left. After a while and I reboot, there is only 4% left. That's a.known issue. But here is twist. If I reboot again, its back to 80% orso. And when I do.another reboot there is 75% remaining..
Another reboot shows 74% and so on
I'm sorry if this a known issue.. i don't have much time to search things while I'm working 45h a week.
Anyone knows a.solution for this?
I wiped battery stats. Discharged a few times and the.HTC trick.. non of these work

i dont think you can do anything about it. people say that turning off the device instead of restarting helps. i also have battery jumps but not nearly as extreme as yours. maybe ~5-10% jump. if its a drop jump then it will stay there until the real percentage reaches that said level, if its higher then it will drop quickly to the real percentage. from my experience that is, not a big deal

I know that 10-15% drops are normal.
but a drop of 70% is a bit odd.
Its not very serious but its quite anoying, i think its affecting my battery life
Try flashing the battery fix. It helped me out. I had same problem but not so radical.

Use your phone for a while without changing roms or clearing stats, don't charge until your battery is totally dead then don't take of charge until it is totally full, once full turn off and charge till light green, then back on and charge till green then repeat till you feel confident that your battery us full, then go through full discharge and repeat it will settle down but patience us required, remember stay with 1 rom radio and kernel without clearing anything for at least 4 days

Charged my battery to 100% took it off the charger at 10. I only used it for Twitter for like a hour together because I kept taking quick naps in between. My phone was on 95% when I woke up for good at 1:00. Now it's at 87% & I haven't done nothing on it. What's some solutions for this problem?
P.S. I'm running on ARHD 6.6.3 with faux's kernel & have an Anker battery.
Download better battery stats from the market and see what is keeping your device awake while its asleep. Once you find what it is, fix the problem (this could be contacting the developer, uninstalling the app, or installing a new rom/kernel)

First off I've been around a while, long time flasher. It has just recently started to upset me. When my battery is around 20% the phone just shuts off as it has shut down due to no charge. I have used search function and can't seam to find matching issues. Its not a recent situation just started to annoy me. Oh and it does the notification low battery before powering off. I have calibrated battery and wipe battery status and getting pretty good battery life. Thanks in advanced.
I am currently running tweakstock 2.0 with Imnuts official 0502 pbj kernel and system tweak v66.

Try another battery to see if the issue is replicated.
Well, hi to all...
This is my problem, i have an extended 1900mAh Anker battery and a stock 1520, the Extended last for about 10-11 hours of full use over 3G-H, screen full brightnes and almost 4 hours of screen on, AccuWeather stock widget every 6 hours, 4 hours of music over stock music player, Sync on and all of that...
Also i use Faux 123 kernel with stock voltage and 1.5Ghz OC, Non-Zram (it only drains to me....)... no big deal and i don't see anything wrong with my battery... only one thing...
When i use the phone, and my battery reach for example 38%... then i restart the phone and its starts with 60%... and when i reach 30% again i restart and i see up to 50% of battery on the metter... so wth???!!! also, today my phone turn off when i was trying to get a screenshot of my battery issue to upload it... with 7% of battery left... and today it last for 11.30 hours
i use Insert Coin 2.4 rom Sense 4
can some one please explain me why is this happenin?
This is a little show up of my problem, now with elegancia and bricked ics 3.0 kernel, first boot up and first drain

This is an HTC problem. I have no clue why, but for some reasons the stats on their phones never report properly after having a custom ROM. I used to have an HTC Desire, then a GSII, now a Sensation. I noticed the stats were always off with my Desire, they were fine with my GSII, fine with a stock One X then with my Sensation I get the some terribly reported battery stats again. It is just something I have gotten used to.
Someone with more technical knowledge can explain better why it does that. But with the Desire it was a known issue which no one knew how to fix. Or the resources to fix it are just missing.
fix for battery stats and reboots
hey guys i had the same prob. was running viper 1.4.1 phone was rebooting and was geting crazy battery stats. i was reading a post about the the grounding pins on the back of the phone they touch the battery cover. pull those pins out ever so just for good contact with the cover but be gentle. i have done this and had no probs so far hope this helps let me know how u get on.
Have you checked to see if your getting a wake lock? You can download better battery stats and it will detect any wake lock you might be having and identify the offending app So you can stop the wake lock. Give it a try I think it might help. You can download better battery stats from here on xda, and read about bad and good wake locks. It's very informative. Hope this is helpful. Best wishes.

I'm also getting these kind of issues on my Sensation.
Try fully discharging and recharging the battery twice. It used to help with laptop batteries.
Hi, currently Im facing a somewhat weird issue. Firstly, my battery is not able to reach 100%. Im not talking about the charger "purposely" doing so, but the led remains orange for hours, and stuck at 99%. Secondly, the battery sometimes increases and decreases at its own "free will", most of the time decreasing by 2%. When left on standby, the battery reaches 50% from full charge in just a matter of 5 or 4 hours.
Its not the battery since I recently purchased an anker battery and facing the same problem still. Anyone can provide a valuable input?

I am facing the same issue as well. As far as I know, Sensation battery stats remain wierd with almost all custom ROMs. The back up is quite fine as last 40% of the battery last quite long. I have tried calliberating battery and it didn't changed a thing.

Are you on a non-sense based rom? I think the rom is not the issue, perhaps the kernel?

I currently on ViperS JB with Sense 4+. I like the feel of sense so never tried any other ROMs. It could be an issue with kernel but I am not sure of it.

At least im not alone
Is it possible that sebastian's kernel is the fault? Any suggestions from anyone else?
I have another issue with the battery
When its charging it gets normal until 50% after that the numbers increase very slow but i think is fully charged because if I reset the phone then it shows 100% and works normal.
Also if y use it with battery > 50% with no reset, the % keeps in the same number until it starts to drop normally.
I changed the batery thinking that will solve the problem, but nothing changed with the new battery.
Its not a critical issue, but its annoying
