Klipsch Image S4i headphones with microphone - LG Optimus 3D

Hello,
I'm going to buy Klipsch Image S4i headphones, but I don't know they will be compatible with the LG P920. Does anyone have this phone and these headphones? Is the remote control work?

The S4i do not work on android. They only work for apple devices (hence the 'i'). If you want full compatability you need the S4a ('a' for Android) Although note this headset doesn't have a volume rocker/media buttons.

Can anyone confirm if the mic on Klipsch i series work?

As title really, can anyone confirm if the Klispch X10i s4i or s5i microphones work with the Nexus one? I have seen conflicting reports and one that said it did at first and then stopped
I really want a pair but need to be sure at least the mic works even if other functions dont.
Thanks
I may be wrong but I think the mic for any headphones with a mic work its just the other functions that don't (i don't have what you have but i have another pair of headphones and they work fine)
Well, I am afraid the answer is that the Klipsch X10i does not work with android phones. At least not with the desire z.
I spent £170 on some Klipsch X10i and the mic doesn't work at all
That said...
The Klipsch S2m are on amazon only and they are the same as the Klipsch X1m. They are one button and have a mic that works with android and they are only £25!! They don't sound as quite as good as the X10i but at £25 instead of £170 that seems fair. They have a good balanced sound, a bit bass heavy if anything but they are well worth the money. X10i's are going on e bay!
I have been using the S4i with the N1 since Feb of 2010 with no problems. As you might have read, the volume +/- buttons are made for the iphone and don't work with android. But the call-answer button works to answer calls and skip tracks. The mic works great and the sound quality from the earbuds is great.
Non-Iphone headsets on Android phones
This is general issue, IPhone headsets have the pins for mic/ground switched, so that 'standard' headsets will not work. This is done so that Steve Jobs/Apple can make more money
All you need is a pin-converter cable. I found this one which makes any non-Iphone phone accept IPhone headsets etc.

iPhone Headset to other Cell Phone Headset Jack Adapter - 3.5mm 4 conductor TRRS Male to Female
Its pricey but well worth it if you don't want to buy an IPhone and make Steve rich
it works

The X10i's mic works on my SGS2. Volume buttons don't and centre button also doesn't respond the first few times.

Headphones w. Mic

Hello guys!
I'm interested in a pair of headphones/handsfree, but I've tried a few "universal" units and either the buttons or the mic doesn't work with the RAZR HD.
Is there any way we can identify which headphones/handsfree fit on our unit?
Thanks in advance.

I will try out my wife's Klipsch Reference One's when I get home and next week I will have a pair of Miles Davis Trumpets to try out too so I will let you know.

There are two specifications for implementing headset-based remote controls. One way is the way Apple implements headset controls. The other way is how everyone else in the industry implements headset controls. (sounds very "Apple-like" doesn't it?)
You can use this general rule:
If the headset says it works with the Apple iPhone, then it probably won't work for the Droid RAZR.
Quick example of this:
Klipsch Image S4: Version of headphones without headset controls.
Klipsch Image S4i: Same headphones, has headset controls that work with Apple iPhones (but not Android)
Klipsch Image S4a: Same headphones, has headset controls that work with Android.
Thanks for the input, but I have tried samsung galaxy s hands free for example and they don't work.

Just to be clear... the headphones and mic for these kinds of heatsets will always work regardless of intended Apple / Android manufacturer. Handling audio is just pure analog electrical signals.
However, the push button controls will depend on how the smartphone manufacturer implemented the control specifications. So even though your Dr. Dre Beats for your iPhone works for your Android smartphone, I'll bet that the buttons (Fast Forward / Rewind / Skip Track / Mute / Volume Up / Volume Down) does not work for Android the way that it works for iPhone.
I have been using Skullcandy ink'd with mic for over 6 months. At TjMaxx and Marshall's for $9.99. I also have Klipsch Promedia with Microphone. They both work flawlessly, but you can't go wrong with Skullcandy for the price. They sound awesome, come with lifetime warranty, and cost so little.
anyone can tell me if this

is compatible with razr hd?
thks a lot!
I would assuming they are the mic one they will. I have a pair of skullcandy fmj's and they work just fine. Also have a pair of Skullcandy 50/50 just the track control buttons don't work but the middle button and the mic work

I always find problems right in-ear headphones.
The classical noise -cancelling headphones I find after a while very troublesome to wear and uncomfortable.
On -ear is not the right option .
The best experience so far I 've been using Apple EarPods and additionally EarSkinz .
I was a bit skeptical about Bose Sound True , but has shown that the headphones very comfortable to wear and deliver a balanced sound quality.
The headphones I use with my OnePlus One - all buttons function as it should.
Got them, only pause works..... was the same on my Moto X 2014...... that being said, they sound amazing. I would buy them again
Does the inline microphone work with the opo?
SportSound Problems
I recently bought the Bose SportSound ear phones, Samsung Galaxy edition and they fit and sound great BUT none of the volume keys nor the mic work with my opo. Any suggestions?

DAC that works with in-line controls on earphones with Apple pinout?

We all know that Apple is the only company that refuses to use the standard pinout and instead reverses it so that earphones for IPhones don't also support in-line remote control on other devices. Unfortunately, most of the good earphones with mic are made for iPhone.
I've got the Klipsch X11i, which sound great with the included DAC. However, it'd be nice to have in-line controls. Doesn't anyone know if this is possibly a software feature that could be implemented? Alternatively, are there any DACs that support Apple's pinout for in-line controls?
