i had previously installed neat rom lite on my s2 i9100 which flashed philz kernel on it...now i want to try super nexus rom but the developer says its not compatible with philz kernel>>>can you plz tell me a way to change my kernel

If u don't know how to flash a kernel then stop what you're doing and read. You should know considering you most likely rooted by flashing a custom kernel. Also FYI each ROM comes packaged with a kernel so there's no need to worry.
Just flash the rom as you did in neat rom lite.

currently i m on stock 2.3.4 with netarchy 1.3.9 kernel
if i want flash to custom rom , do i need to flash back the kernel to stock ? before proceed? or i can just straight flash custom rom through CWM?
Flash the custom rom. Download 1.3.9 universal. Then flash the kernel.

Whenever I open Rom manager it says there is a new update available for clockwork mode recovery....
current recovery 5.x.x.x
latest recovery 6.0.1.0
but when i boot into recovery mod it says cwm 6.0.1.0..
how to update this recovery from Rom manager,..
plzz help..

If you cant find any CWM 6 based kernels or firmwares in the 9100G's development section, then its probably not yet supported on this device. If yes, then this should be a bug in ROM Manager.
flashing apropriated kernel for SL I9100G for CynagonMod 9
Hi there i´m a noob,
i have flashed my Galaxy SL I9100G successfull on the latest Build of CynagonMod 9.
before i´ve flashed the ICS LP7 - 5.5.0.4 Kernel. Because it was suggested in an other android forum
to get work Cynagonmod 9 work.
My question: which kernel is the best for the SL I9100G device to work with CM9 ?
I have seen there are other Kernels listed in the thread: [KERNEL][GT-I9100G][GB+ICS/LP7] ClockworkMod Recovery 5:
GB - 5.0.2.8
ICS - 5.5.0.4
Are this Kernels better than the ICS LP7 - 5.5.0.4 kernel?
I would like to work with a stabil ROM Manager, which let me make backup´s, etc...
and maybe flashing other ROM´s but the LP7 is a little bit buggy.
In the above named thread their is also a statement which make me a little bit afraid:
Don't use this kernel on aosp based roms like CyanogenMod!!!
But i have flashed CynagonMod 9 with one of the suggested kernels. have i make a mistake?
So Do i need cm7.2 to flash JoyOs rom v1.2.2?
Coz it says "based cm7.2".. i dont have cm7 now.

If there is a custom kernel available for that particular Rom then you can flash it. Read CM11 Rom thread. If there is a kernel available in that section, flash it otherwise ask them about the kernel because many roms come with overclocked kernels and many aren't.
Guy please help me to install any custom rom with lollipop or cyanogenmod 12 in my device. It has already been rooted using kingroot app.
bro firstly there is a need of custom recovery like philz cwm or twrp which flashes any kind of custom and ported roms for grand max i was trying to building this recovery but not yet compiled.
Plz build a custom rom I am fedup of this touch wizz UI.
