Hi everybody,
My Iconia Tab A700 is currently under CM10.1 nightlies but i would like to go back to a stock ROM 4.1 from Acer, i got the latest french .zip from the official website (about 300MB) and i saw on this forum that it should be flashed as an update.zip (on external SD) but i did not managed to find a answer to this question: can i flash it this way even if i currently use CM10.1 and a CWM recovery ? Because it's seems that everybody who flashed it this way was already under stock ROM (sometimes with CWM).
Thanks for any future help.
(Hope my english is not too bad)

Hey Guys,
I am having trouble Installing CWM Recovery on My Tf300T after upgrading to Jellybean firmware.
Since my device is unlocked I had to download and install the 'official Jellybean ROM' from online. (WW Version, since I am in Australia).
Jellybean is working great (Through I have noticed that is sucks up about 100mb + more ram than ICS did) but whenever I try to install and run CWM Mod, it just hangs.
Any ideas on a fix?
P.S. I had CWM and Root installed before I updated to Jellybean but the update seemed to get rid of both of those
TWRP for the win!
I just installed TWRP and it's working fine. I prefer Clockword but after some browsing the net, I found others who have had issues with it.
So just a note here: There are issues with Flashing CWM via fastboot on the TF300 with Jellybean

try TWRP. There are some known issues with CWM.
Just unpack the zip from Asus one time. Put the file on your internal space and flash it like every other rom.
After that you will have the stock recovery back. So you have to flash TWRP once again.
Hi,
i got a GT-N8000 here and wanted to know (before i do anything) is it possible to backup the stock ROM, flash cyanogenmod and go back to stock ROM when needed in some way?
I would prefere to use CWM for flashing CM but with my phone (LG P880) it was not possbile to boot the stock ROM with a CWM bootloader. Is it also like this for the GT-N8000?
Thanks in advance.
Wrong question here?
Hi
I tried to install the KitKat Rom on my P6810 Tablet. It's not the first time for flashing it but now I had a very strange problem. I tried 2 different roms, one was the OmniROM, and both had the same problem:
When trying to flash the 4.4 Rom for P6810 the CWM says that the rom is not for my tablet. Something like not the right type. Then I found out that I can flash the i815 - Rom. But when starting my tablet after flashing the i815 - Rom the touchscreen is not working. I'm sure the reason is that the i815 Rom does not have the correct display driver for my P6810 Tablet...
But why I can install an i815 Rom (which is not the correct one) but no P6810 Rom (which must be the correct one)? Is there anyone with the same problem?
Thank you very much in advance
Lars
Hi Everybody!
In first place thanks to everybody that reads this thread. Thanks for taking your time.
I upgraded my N8010 to the latest firmaware (4.4.2).
I have rooted and istalled a custom recovery (CWM 6.0.4.6) and installed Gnabo V.7 rom.
I am not particularly keen on TouchWiz, and I would like to move away from it.
Gnabo room (as it currenly is) reboots randmomly, and I also experience problems with my emaîl settings. (have to reconfigure sometimes...)
The issue is that after the new bootloader, it seems to be impossible to install any custom rom that is not TouchWiz 4.4.2 based.
I think that if sombedy could list the options that we have for roming, after the stock 4.4.2 update, this would really help.
Thanks again in advance.

Update rom
Here is what I did so far:
Stock N8010 on 4.1.2
Upgrade stock to 4.4.2
Root with Chainfire method (over ODIN)
Instal Philz Recovery
Install CM 11 unofficial rom that led to brick
Unbrick by flashing over odin 4.4.2 firmaware from sammobile
Reroot and CWM recovery 6.0.4.6.
Install Stockish rom 4.4.2 that led to brick --> sorted by backup with CWM recovery
Install OMNI rom --> Success!! only issue is to non boot over charging.
SO... OMNI rom seems to work.
See If I can try another one!
