This Project started In April 2012, previously only for Xperia S this MOD Support more and more Phone, Xperia 2011 phone and it became recently an UNIVERSAL MOD and now support all ICS and JB CYANOGEN Based ROM
Support for Touchwizz, Sense, MotoBlur,... (Stock firmware) Based ROM Will come Soon!

Walkman player doesn't seem to recognize my tracks or anything. They are all saved in /sdcard/Music so there shouldn't be an issue but there is. Stock (HTC) music player won't pick up my songs neither. Needless to say, PowerAMP DOES so it's not my sdcard's fault.
EDIT: Play music won't recognize my internal music as well. DSPManager only seems to work with Play Music. Going to revert my nandroid. Looked good, unfortunately, not for me Still ended up with better sound with just PowerAMP alone.

You have to wipe data of walkman and play music and you should see your music. I had this problem with playmusic on every Rom I used.

Which device was this for before you ported it?

WOW! this is amazing! I was (more than) a little skeptical when I was installing this. The aroma installer doesn't respond on touch (it does but the buttons are off by at least a inch to the side). At first you see these 2 apps which don't do anything. When i started listening to the music nothing seemed changed. Than i remembered it works with the native equalizers of your rom. As I'm running miui (and i think miui music player is the best you can get on android), i turned on the Eq in there. And WOW, the first thing i noticed was the xloud kicking in and me turning down the volume asap. But its much more than that. the sound quality became a lot better. High tone are more crisp, the middle tone more vibrant and the bass alot deeper. This is the best music experience i ever had on any phone! It a lot better than the iphone and my ipod classic!
Thank you for porting this! (And btw the option that say "this might cause a bootloop", does cause a bootloop, well rather it wont even give you a splashscreen oO)

Try to replace audio_effect.conf from system/etc with the one located in update.zip ( aroma/main2/etc)
Dont forget to set permission

I tried to install beats apk from market - phone wont boot...then install beats zip in twrp - phone
wont boot...then install older version - phone boot, but audio quality still

Yes. Download PimpMyRom and install Beats Audio via flashing the zip from recovery. After that, a free market download Beats Audio Installer. Run that as well. Now after all that go into settings/sound/music effects and select Beats option. In your app drawer u will find the Awesome Beats Audio app to customize the sound. Prepare to be blown away!

okay...but what version of beats oudio?
With last ver.BeatsAudio6.27.zip phone wont boot

Did u do a dalvik/cache wipe before install? This happened to me as well, and I did a system restore from a previous Nandroid *system ONLY! Not data/boot etc.* and poof the driver was installed. Including a screenshot for proof positive.

Installed no problem for me also using PimpMyRom app. Downloaded right from PimpMyRom app onto sd card, flashed thru recovery and all is good

I use AC!D SoundMOD, and it really seems to help. Though it does have quite a footprint in my phone, and requires some tweaking to get the best result.

I use Poweramp player, and with the built--in eq and preamp Beats Audio turns it into probably the best sound emitting device I have ever used, and I have been a club DJ for 8 years and a musician for 30 years. Take a look at my screenshot to see how I have mine set up...did u also install the driver from Beats Audio Installer * root from the market?

...i have installed beats from pimp my rom...and it works - but not too good.
Of corse poweramp is good player - it has equalizer , but youtube dont have equalizer.

These equalizer settings sound great man, I use n7 player my music sounds great. The only issue I run into is when I use GPS or get a text while listening to music on n7, the audio from the GPS and notification is so low I can't hear it. I'm not certain if this is due to equalizer setting, beats audio, or n7 player.

[Q] Beats Audio

I'm still not allow to post on dev threads (not 10 posts yet) so I'll try here.
I just installed the Executioner Rom 2.5, which is great by the way.
When I am in Pandora or Music Player and change Beats Audio settings I cannot hear a difference.
If I go into music player and use the built in EQ I hear the music change.
Does anyone else using this Rom or others know how to get Beats Audio settings to work?
I can turn it on or off and it always sounds the same. It seems like I'm not using it correctly.

You have to open beats audio and enable for speaker, head phones, and blue tooth individually. Also there is a section for effects and you can select light moderate or heavy. Have you tried it that way. There is also another spot for EQ either pre set or set it the way you like it.

Yeah, it is enabled under system settings. I also enabled headset and speaker. No matter which settings a change it sounds the same. When it is turned off it sounds the same. I'm pretty convinced it is installed, but not working with this ROM. If anyone know how to make it work though please let me know.

Try going to settings, sound, sound effects. Then choose beats as your equalizer. Hope this works. If not try acid audio 5 with Walkman add-on. Sounds great with Walkman player.

So I went and looked at the Acid 5 and it states that the two equalizers that come in the Executioner Rom do not work together.
Beats was already activated under settings as I said so it must be that they are not compatible.
I went ahead and uninstalled all of the equalizers and installed the Sony Walkman App.
It sounds really good with Acid, but the enhanced sound does not work (crashes the app).
I expected that much because that feature doesn't work on any rom I've tried.
Now I'm going to try uninstalling everything again and just installing Acid and Beats.
Hopefully, Beats will actually do something if I remove the other equalizers.
I think Beats is more of what I am looking for because I don't want to have to use Walman app.

I've tried tons of Acid Audio combinations. The only time there is a difference is when installing Acid vrs. before Acid.
On the GS3 with any of the Touch Roms you can go into sounds settings and changing them does nothing.
I'm not complaining. Acid by itself is just fine. I just want to post this so others know not to waste their time.
Don't bother installing any of the Add-Ons. Just install Acid and be done with it.
If you like Walkman and don't mind the sound enhancements do not work, then it is a good choice.

on multiple devices with dsp crash does not occur, but there is also a conflict with the DSP, if confilict with dsp, dsp would you freeze it first

This is indeed a wonderful tool to boost the audio experience , but there is a problem that while changing settings sometimes the volume suddenly increases which is painful to ears. If this thing is solved . Its almost perfect.

thanks you for the advice :good:, I will try to fix . To temporarily increase problem solving with loudness of audio is uncheck compression options :angel:

[APP][THEMED][4.0+] SRS Panel "2.0"

Welcome to SRS Panel 2.0, a small project that I've done a little work on so far. The aim is to improve the bland UI of SRS Panel "1.4" to be newer and more polished
Note: I did not make this app, this is a themed version with some fixes. Credit is below

Features of SRS Panel
Tweakable level of "SRS WOW" (3D surround effect)
Tweakable level of "TruBASS" (Proper bass effect, similar idea to Beats audio)
5 level equalizer, with + and - to 15dB
11 preset levels, 1 user level (1 preset is SRS extreme, for the best effect)
Compatible with any music player that uses the Android equalizer API (inc. Play Music, Now Playing Beta, Apollo etc.)
Themed features so far
The action bar is now 'solid', and a dark grey Holo colour (#202020)
The text uses "sans-serif-light" (Roboto Light) in some places
I fixed a few strings that were incorrect
Things to do:
Improve app UI
Add a logo to the actionbar instead of a title
Installation
Installation is a little complicated if done by hand. By far the easiest way is my app SRS Installer (see my signature, direct linking isn't allowed), but this is how you do it:
1.) Make sure you don't have any other audio mod installed already, they will clash. If you do, reinstall your ROM without wiping
2.) Download the SRS 1.0 zip from the attachments
3.) Reboot into recovery and mount the system (just in case)
4.) Flash the zip
5.) Reboot your device
6.) Open a root browser and mount the system once more
7.) Navigate to /system/lib/soundfx
8.) Delete (or rename to .so.bak) libbundlewrapper.so and libcyanogendsp.so (might not be there, skip if not)
9.) Navigate to /system/app
10.) Delete DSPManager.apk and MusicFX.apk (if there)
11.) If you have any equalisers installed from the Play Store, such as MusicFX, uninstall them the normal way
12.) Reboot again
You now have SRS Panel 1.4 installed
13.) Download the 2.0 apk from the attachments
14.) Install it as a normal apk
You now have SRS Panel 2.0 installed
How to use
Open a compatible music player and play a song
Press menu > equalizer
Turn on SRS Panel at the top right corner
You are done. Enjoy your music with better sound! (SRS is tweakable from that panel)
Note: WOW and TruBASS are only available on headphones or 3.5mm out

Took the plunge and installed this on my HTC Sensation running SuperXE Build 3 (4.2.2)
Combined with PowerAMP this is by far the greatest audio enhancement tool so far ^^

Sorry to say this, but PowerAmp isn't a compatible music player. I believe what you're getting is a placebo

Hm, could be.
The "Now Playing" player doesn't really give any change as I hear,
The default one on my rom does give an interesting effect.
PowerAMP gives the same effect with the default player, considering i turned off the effects from the player itself.
Quite strange, but I hope this'll help.

Moving the WOW slider left and right, does the music go more and less 3D?
Edit: are you playing the music in Now Playing too? Your notification icon is different

The slider works as it should.
This is PowerAMP, I'm testing it on the three players I've mentioned. Now Playing doesn't give any effect strangely enough(using the most recent version).
EDIT: Added the equalizer pages, The headset icon resembles Now Playing, the tiny speaker Default(flat EQ).
EDIT 2: More clear screenshots showing which player is which.

Reporting this to be working on Galaxy S2 with Chameleon 3.0.1 (JB 4.1.2 XWLS8). Using default Google Music app.
Well it has to be working, since I do note a difference when the fx are switched on and off, and when I move the sliders around.

Too bad this was the last free version of SRS by Quinny899. I wonder if there's really any difference at all compared to the latest SRS Manager.

SRS manager has the option to use it for any app, not just those with the equaliser, and it supports 2.3.5+

Sorry, I hope this is my last question haha :angel: but really, if I install SRS manager with the free version, and then this 2.0 panel, will it be the same as having the full version of SRS manager? If not, what's the difference? (besides 2.3 support and work in all apps)

I did what you say.
I removed the files.
And copied to direction.
im installing to apk. it's ok. But it doesnt say Open. I tried many times but i couldnt open the srs panel. it say "it's not opening

Yess i did. even i tried to open settings/device/volume effects/srs panel
there were a two option. one of srs panel other one qaudio manager
i choosed both but i wansnt working. i found srs apk. i installed it's ok and than im still traying open. open the qauido manager every time install again. and srs panel too.
