Brief PalBot speaker review - Nexus 4 Accessories

So, my brother got one of these for a gift and after hearing the little thing I couldn't not post a review. This thing has some MASSIVE sound for its size, crisp highs and lows with surprising base. It even has a separate bottom facing woofer, which is rare for this kind of speaker. Build quality is really quite good, and its nice and heavy. Very little interference and doesn't distort until you really crank it up. So, I know this isn't strictly related to the N4, but to any of you who want a small speaker, grab one of these.

I bought a similar one from CVS for $10, 1/2 off $20. Its an iHome wireless speaker and came with a nice carrying bag. Sound is decent and sounds more fuller but my n4 has the same volume. Same one here

Not sure since I've never heard it, but based on the price I'd say that it would generally not sound as good. However, I live to be proven wrong on these kinds of things haha.

Awesome dude. I've been watching that case and was wondering when someone would do a review for it. Can you tell me the size after? maybe a before and after side by side? I love the slimness of the phone so I don't want added bulk.
Thanks!

It adds some bulk; nothing mayor that can't be dealt with. It kind of feels like the HTC Thunderbolt. But still, it feels like it will protect it against any fall. The pro is the kickstand.

I have the Zagg Invisible shield on the front only and I love it. I'm using the Otterbox Commuter with it and everything plays very nice with each other. I'm really thinking about getting this case but it's like 30 bucks DANG! lol Zagg makes a solid product and they stand by their stuff.
What is pressing the physical buttons like with it? Power button and volume can be a bit recessed

$30.99 wow, it seems a bit high to me, but if it saves the phone I guess it's worth it.

I don't have my HOX yet, but I will this weekend. Coming from a captivate and a MyTouch 3G, the only arm band that was worth anything is the TuneBelt. They make them for different screen sizes, not individual phones. I believe their AB86 model should fit the HOX. They also sell an extender for people with large biceps, so you don't have to worry if you get it and it's too small for your arm.

Agreed. This one is sufficient. I haven't been able to find any others that work/fit to the degree that this one does. Haven't tried the tube sock idea. There was definitely another thread somewhere in these forums with the same question, but i dont recall much resolution coming at the time it was posted, but that's where I initially saw the tube sock idea...
This one here looks good, and it's cheap. I think I'll go with this one soon.
http://www.amazon.com/Fitness-Pal-Black-Sports-Armband/dp/B00880HEM6/ref=pd_cp_cps_0
I tired the tube sock idea yesterday and it just wasn't up to par... When I would sprint the sock would slide down my arm even though it was still tight.): I guess I'll have to shell out some money for a real armband.

Dunno If getting the ab86 or the ab85, the last seems to fit the otterbox cases and I have the incipio silicrylic... If anyone have one of this and can tell if the ab86 is enough or really need the ab85.
I actually have the AB83 and it was for my captivate in its case, but it also fits the HOX without anything on it. It is a tight fit but it works enough to not have to upgrade to another armband.

I have the sleeve and while it is very nice, it is certainly hard to suggest it is worth the price. This may seem obvious to some. High quality materials and feel, very stiff, looks great. Expensive, though. Which is why I bumped this;
Should anyone be interested, but held back due to price, the nearly 50% off may be the deciding factor. Today only. Great sleeve, but I'd have a hard time justifying the purchase at full price.
Good day.

Nice looking case. I would consider it if they had another half off or something like it. $50 is too much!
I like it. I would get one in addition to the Bugatti pouch i use.
I'm all for supporting handmade items, screw cheap Chinese material. Quality > quantity.
I just cant wrap my head around this whole fad of having slim cut pockets for your money and and Drivers License hanging out.
If i were in Japan or Germany or elsewhere with less theft, I'd get this.
Carrying that around on campus flashing your ID and money, credit cards...especially in California the Bay Area..pfft, you'd get stuff stolen out of it easily.

Home-made cradle (-ish thing) :D

Hey everyone
I saw the tutorial for this online, on instructables.
Holds the nexus 4 (with and without a tpu case) pretty well both in landscape and portrait.
All you'll need is 10 minutes, 6 pencils, 8 rubber bands and 2 paper clips.

Hahah cool, looks funky but I guess it works. Heres the one I made for myself, using random parts I had laying around:
http://vikramkhalsa.com/?p=889
The electronics don't do anything, they're just used for the construction and looks. Probably hard to imitate but every one can be unique! I put an NFC tag on it so it changes my settings for work automatically ( wifi, silent, etc..)
Oh and it works in landscape too.

thanks! The bottom one is from an old optical mouse, and the top/back one is from some switch controller on those baby swing things. I just kept them in my box of junk materials and eventually found some use for them. Then I just put 2 LEDs on the front to keep the phone from falling. They're not actually connected to anything, they just fit the theme
It would be really cool if it had wireless charging.. was thinking of buying one and putting it into this.. but they're expensive :/
Yeah....I wanted to put the orb in mine but it doesn't seem like that's coming to India anytime soon....

This. Lol. But, to answer the question, I've been using the Incipio Feather case pretty much since I got the phone 4 months ago. Its only come off to clean dust out of it every so often. As someone who has (almost) never used a case on a phone, this one doesn't bother me one bit.
Yeah I even read that thread and still had a nice brain fart and started a new one. My bad.

I liked the Motorola (Same as Verizon) OEM case and holder with kickstand best as far as functionality, but the pattern on the design plus the thickness didn´t really appeal to me. So I found the perfect replacement with the Puregear version. It´s stronger, thinner and the pattern is sooo much more discreet and elegant, its perfect for mae. Plus I can safely vouch that after 4 nasty falls, both the phone and the case are still absolutely 100% perfect and absolutely flawless, not a single blemish. Extremely satisfied!
