[ROOT] Galaxy Chat Gt-B5330 [Tested] 2013]

Hello guys as you know there was another device by Samsung released a few months before (Actually in 2012 so its a year )
Many Dev's at Xda Tried to Root it , Androsamace was the person who even tried , even with the right tutorial he failed with a signature error
But we made it correct the actual problem was the firmware !

Now Look at the Guide below and start rooting your Galaxy Chat ​
Lets start :-
Flash the Poland Firmware before starting the process of rooting , Because galaxy Chat till now could only be rooted on This firmware ::::::
Link :- Poland Firmware
Instructions on how to Flash Poland Firmware :
Once You Downloaded the Poland Firmware from above link , Extract it on the Desktop
Download Odin from here. Link :- Odin
Then , Open Odin and click on PDA And select the file from Extracted Zip
Then click on start , wait for minutes.
Then , Enjoy You just flashed the Poland Firmware
Once done and booted U will now Root your device by following this :-
Download Root Package and put it in Your External SD Card. Link:- Root package
Download recovery.zip and PIT file and Extract it on Your Desktop Link:- Recovery.zip & PIT File
Switch of your Device.
Then , Go to Download Mode by pressing Volume UP and Power button together .
Connect your pc with phone in download mode
Then , Open Odin on Pc and Click on PDA and choose “recovery.tar.md5″ from exracted zip
Click on Start , Wait for Few Minutes . Then reboot your phone
After Rebooting , Turn of your phone
Then , Go to Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Up and Power button together .
Choose “apply update from sdcard”
Choose “Galaxy_chat_Root.zip”
Then After This , Reboot Phone
VOILA , Your Phone is Rooted :cyclops:

not only with poland firmware but it works with all firmares exept the preinstalled firmware

it works for every rom except the perinstalled. btw i have root 3 differents rom they are Indonesian(XSE WALH3), EUR(XWALL2), and the last INU(WAMA1) till now.

i have my 2 galaxy chat.. i was able to root the first one on androsamace's method.. but the 2nd fail.. error verification failed.. until i tried to flash the recovery on this thread via odin... and do again the andromace's method.. and now it works..
edit: androsamace's have a recovery.tar too.. how did i not download that..?

[Resolved] Please Help , Urgent Question

Hello ,
I have recently Rooted my device ( GT-I8150 ) and installed ClockWorkMod ,
But when I downloaded the Latest Version of CM9 Rom from the official thread , and booted in the recovery Mod , Every Time I try to flash the Rom I get this message :
"E:Can't open sdcard/ gapps-ics-20120429-signed (bad)" error.
Even when I tried to open the file on PC ,it said " Error , the archive is either in unknown format or damaged "
Please Note that :
1- I do NOT have external SD card .
2- I am certainly sure that the file name is "gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip" not "gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip.zip"
3-I Tried renaming it to "update.zip" , but also didn't work .
4-I tried to Re-download the file , but the same problem .
5- I put the files on the main directory ( the directory which opens when I plug in the USB ) .

Sounds like a bad download. Try redownload the file from the website you got it from.

you need to flash the ROM first after that the gapps, is that what you did?

Yes that was what I Tried to make , I Tried to flash The ROM , but it didn't work , and gave the upper message , I even tried the gapps,zip and it also gave the same message .

maybe you should try another version or a different ROM, as ROM flashing would have no reference about gapps or check your downloads size to see, if the gapps file and ROM file size are the same or very much different.

I was trying the Final Version of CM9 , because the earlier versions have some problems , But I don't understand what you mean by " ROM flashing would have no reference about gapps " .
About the Size , they are both 7 Kbs ,

if they are both 7kbs, its the wrong files try to download the ROM it will be over 100MB's and Gapps would be more than 7kbs
just checked the final version is 127.62MB for ROM and Gapps is 49.63 MB

How Does It Work ?
This app is a simple bridge between Device And Server . It uses JSON (JavaScript Object Notation ) Parsing to parse data from server and compare it with data on the device . That is what makes it simple and fast . Then after downloading the recovery image , it gives you 2 choices either to flash image directly or store it so you can flash it later using the app . Q : I opened the app and it gave me a dialog saying That device is not supported
A : For some devices you need to install recovery manually as they might defer in boot loaders ....
Q : I installed recovery but my installed recovery version is still the same !
A : The app parses your last recovery log , so you need to reboot to recovery so the change's can take effect .​

you can try it , as TWRP supports many many devices , i can not know if there is support or no , if there is you will be guided with the app till the end , if there is no support you will see a dialog saying that there is no support

Great, simple and useful= perfect
I just finished installing this on my N5 and N7 2013. It worked perfectly. I was running TWRP 2.6.0 on both devices and the app recognized that and told me there was an updated version available. I ticked install, it downloaded the new version, I ticked install now, it then gave me the option to reboot to recovery so I ticked yes and it rebooted to TWRP now showing 2.6.3. This worked perfectly on both devices. Thanks for the great work it is truly appreciated.

Yes As i made it must will work in All Roms and Device Which Is MTK based ... But its Must be Depend on AROMA.. if any calibration issue faced then it will not work..
Other please If Not Supported in Other device please report me i will try to make it working

So basically we need to copy paste the rom system folder ? including the bin and xbin ?
what happen if we can not boot into recovery ? the condition refers to bricked too right ?

this app was designed for SGS3 neo and grand 2 or lets say msm8226 family to enable otg feature which was there but not working . samsung was not kind enough maybe . who knows ! .
now this app works on more variety of devices . for both devices that do support otg and ones that dont .
for devices that already have otg support . they can force the device to think "hey sth connected ! let me give power to it !"
so device without otg cable connected will think a charger is connected while its charging its self .
or same as force disabling it .

IT works on motion rom 5.1.1. We just need a file manager that supports usb(ES File Manager for instance )

Well anubhav...there must be some problem with your flash drive...because I was able to copy and delete things on usb.

which filemanager u use? on es explorer i tried 2-3 usb it says unsupported function on deleting or copying file.

I use es as well...but worked for me...what rom are you on?
