[Q] Help with HTC Mozart (CID 111) flash - General Questions and Answers

I have HTC 7 mozart with WP7.5. I want to install this OS Version on my phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23033037&postcount=1 .
However I firstly encountered some trouble with the required software on my x64 Win8Pro PC (seems 2be solved). But now I wanted to know if the ROM works for my Phone and if there is reasonable chance of "bricking" it. I wanted to ask my question right here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36226452&postcount=285) but wasn't allowed to (newbe).
I read many threads on the topic, including this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863165. Unfortunately none seems to explicetly state that CID "111" is supported.
Any help is appreciated

[Q] Please post your post-upgrade firmware

Hi all,
can you please post your firmware numbers post-upgrade to Mango?
I'm just wondering, as I cannot install HTC Compass from the HTC Hub anymore, it claims that I don't have the required hardware, or some other problem. Anybody else experiencing this problem?

This is after having the update forced.
thanks and best regards,
Got mango. But I can't get WI fi anymore. It keeps saying incorrect password. And it was always working well and was working right before I installed mango..
I have this:

I wonder what's the reason for these small difference in the firmware version and the Radio Software :\

I am a WP7 developer, so I had access to the Mango betas. Never forced any update MS supplied the Mango revisions directly to us. Today, I upgraded from Beta straight to 7720 (Released To Web) version from Microsoft - as they said this was safe. There was a special "Beta Bundle Cleanup" update package that cleans up beta bits, and converted settings to RTW version.
The HTC Compass states:
"This app is not available for your device." So, it's not just your forced update to Mango.

I have the same exact thing, I was previously running the Mango RTM then upgraded to the official Mango via Zune.
Dont you need the new HTC hub installed before them apps work?
Dose the Connected Media say the same error? if so it definatly works after the htc hub updates.
Cant get the compass app to even list here in UK, not sure why!

Looks like they removed the HTC Compass app, I tried reinstalling it via the windowsphone.com website and it just gives an error.
I already had the compass installed and got Mango using the force method....it still launches and works for me. But I did get an update to like 14 apps shortly after I forced Mango.

Oh wow! When I posted my firmware above, I had the HTC Compass ready to be isntalled from the HTC Hub - even thought it gave an error.
Today, after upgrading the HTC Hub, the compass is gone.

[Q] Custom ROM reverse for Windows Phone 7.5

First the specs:

You must now, that when it comes to mobile ROMs, flashing, custom OSs and stuff, I am an utter noob. As you may see, I have a custom ROM installed. It was made by the Dark Forces Team (DFT). Now, why have I installed it, even though I have no knowledge about it? Well, here's the deal:
I am Polish. I bought the phone before they sold them in my country (we're backward ), and so it was German. Polish language was finally added in ver. 7.5 Mango, but to enable it, you had to have a Polish phone. However, thanks to the DFT I could use a Polish ROM and have it in my language on the new version. Now, the 7.8 comes out and I want to restore my mobile to the OFFICIAL system, installed from Zune. It can't be done, if your ROM is custom (or at least with the one I have). And here's my question: How the hell do I restore the official OS BACK to my mobile phone? I looked for it around the forum, but you guys only seem to be doing it the other way. I also want to keep the language. I'm sure it is possible. Thanks in advance.
Anyone? If there really is no way, at least please recommend me a good custom OS with 7.8 and Polish
Just bumpng, I SERIOUSLY need the answer. Been looking for it, found nothing.

[QUESTION]: HTC 7 Pro T7576 - 7.10.8107.79 - Unlockable?

I recently purchased a new HTC 7 Pro T7576 and am looking to unlock it to install the root tools.
I have spent several days trying to read up about unlocking prior to posting in this thread, but have not had much luck.
Based on my research, I understand that there exist several different type of unlocks. For the work I'd like to do with this device, I require that root tools are installed and understand that the INTEROP unlock would suffice for this as the tools are not native tools.
I have followed most of the instruction online with out much luck for setting up the device yet. The details of the device are:
Name: HTC 7 Pro T7576
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
OS version: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware rev number: 2250.21.51202.111
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Boot loader version: 2.2.5.0
The steps I've taken thus far are to take a backup of the device using zune, download the HTC_Interop_Unlock.xap and tried to install it using XAPDeployX-v0.9.
The error message I get back is:
Deployment FAILED with the following ERROR:
Failed to connect to device as it is developer locked. For details on developer unlock, visit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=195284.
Is there any luck for this device?
Thanks!
Based on some additional reading... I would require to flash the boot loader and put a custom rom.
Can anyone confirm?
After several days of research, it appears that the Interop method does not work any more.
Additionally, can someone provide some direction? I'm looking to flash but the instructions aren't clear and I don't want to brick my device.
Thanks.
Any tips from anyone? I'm trying not to avoid bricking my device.
ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
My journey for unlocking this device is still moving forward.
From additional reading, it looks like my SPL is 5.2.2.5.0 which means I must downgrade it...
The only way I see so far is with a gold card.
Given I have an OTG cable? Can I use this cable? to somehow download the bootloader?
Hi,
use this Method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1456200
This will work on my boot loader? Even with an SPL with 5.1.2.2250.0?
To close the loop, I used a goldcard image with the RUU_Gold_HTC_Europe_1.22.401.01_Radio_5.63.09.13_3a_22.36.50.15U_by_ansar.zip to create the GOLDIMG.nbh to downgrade the firmware.
Was a bit finicky, but eventually it took the update.
Next to install a custom rom...
Update: Trying to install RSPL and HSPL, but no luck
Does the DFT tool work on these devices? I've tried to go through the 126 page DFT thread (below) but no really confirmation
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
If anyone can help this would be great!
Moving right along... Got the HSPL flashed. Had to use another PC.
The original PC I used was a VMWARE workstation with Windows XP, which did not detect the device.
Used a physical Win7 Laptop, everything worked just fine.
Now onto a custom firmware....
Hmm, tried to flash Dynamics v2.0, but it needs a special radio version.
I got the radio, but not sure how to flash it, can someone help explain how to do this with RUU?
Thanks.
Hi dustbyter
are you still interested in this topic? I just did the same on my HTC 7 Pro T7576

Hello,
I have been given a HTC 7 Pro T7576, Windows Phone 7.8, OS version: 7.10.8858.136, firmware rev. no. 2250.21.51101.401, hardware rev. no. 0002, radio software version 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U, radio hardware version A.102.0.D4, Bootloader version 5.11.2250.0, chip SOC version 2.2.5.0
I love everything but the OS of this phone.
I am a total newbie at mobile OS but have 10 years experience with Slackware linux.
Please help me out with detailed instructions to replace Windows Phone with Android on HTC 7 Pro.
Thank you!

I second this. Windows Phone 7 is a dead-end street. Therefore, nobody even cooks ROMs for these phones any more (the newest ones I could find are from 2013).
That's pretty bad since otherwise, the HTC 7 Pro is a good phone - I love its keyboard as my fingers do not seem to be compatible to touch screens
It was possible to port Android to legacy devices like the HTC HD2. Wouldn't it be possible to do that for the HTC 7 Pro, too? That would be, I think, the greatest thing since sliced bread
Kind regards,

[Completed] [Q] How to Root Brand new HTC ONE X+ UNLOCKED AT&T WORLD PHONE (64G, Quad core)

I'm an owner (past 2 years) of an HTC One x (AT&T) which has all the HTC/AT&T updates (at least until they stopped). I decided to purchase the above mentioned Cell phone (more memory), and needs to be pointed in the right direction. Based on what I read in the many forums related to rooting the phone, I'm overwhelmed with info. At this point I'm not even sure what I have for a phone. Like I said, looking to be pointed in the right direction. In opening bootloader this is what the brand new phone is telling me:
***LOCKED****
EVITARE_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT - 1.32.0000
CPLD - None
MICROP - None
RADIO - SSD:1.09.55.17
eMMC - bootmode: disabled
CPU - bootmode : disabled
HW Secure boot: enabled
MODEM TYPE: MDM9215M
OCT 20 2012, 13:45:56
In going to the software info on the phone I have :
Android version: 4.1.1
HTC Sense Version: 4+
Software Number: 1.15.502.9.710RD
HTC SDK API level: 4.63
HTC extension Version: HTCExtension_Sense45_1,
Kernel Version: 3.1.10-g262c6aa, [email protected]#1, SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version: 1.09.55.17_18.20.95.55L
Build number:1.15.502.9 CL122548 release-keys
Browser Version: WebKit/534.30
The phone is new, out of the box, with no simcard installed. I'm already on AT&T (carrier) and intend to stay, at least for the moment. I do understand the "unlocked" is just for carrier, not the phone. Looking to be pointed in the direction to answer the following questions
1) Can I root this phone? 1A) Can I do it without a simcard? Then I'm looking to update Android version, and simply take my existing Simcard from old phone and install in the new. Finally transfer all from old phone to new.
You all do such great work, so I do feel a bit dumb in requesting guidance. I do hope I provided enough info for you to assist me. Thanks in advance for your help
Hi,
Here is a guide for your device that covers rooting,
> HTC One X+ > One X+ General > [HOW TO] Unlock bootloader, Root, Flash Custom ROM, Flash Kernel
You can ask for assistance there if needed.
Good luck!
