[Q] Xperia J and Audio Engine - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Can anybody try install Beats Audio Engine or AC!D AUDIO ENGINE on our Xperia J.
This phone is definitely too quiet.

You can try finding a DSP manager CWM flashable zip. The beats installer on the Play Store ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motioncoding.beats ) doesn't work, it will mess up your sound and you'll only get a hissing sound anytime you try to play anything and you will have to find and replace the system files manually to make your audio work. You can try PimpMyROM ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androguide.pimp.my.rom ) and the download the Beats CWM flashable zip which has Beats integrated into DSP Manager but I've only tried it out on CM10 and it works so try at your own risk.

I have no idea why manufacturers do that. The phone is obviously restricted by software. There are a couple of cases where the headphones volume suddenly plays 10db louder or even more I guess but then it quickly drops down. Like some sort of sound compressor is applied. I guess installing a custom rom would fix it but I'm not doing that.
I've tried this already if anyone's interested: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2061032

[Q] Any way to run DSP manager on stock(rooted) system?

Looked through a bunch of threads and installed countless zip's and APK's trying to install DSP manager on my rooted skyrocket. I can get DSP manager to work but the only feature that works is compression.
I don't really want to delete my data for this feature to install a new rom, so is there any way for me have DSP manager working on my skyrocket?
(I'm trying to get the audio output through the 3.5mm headphone jack to output mono audio, I can only wear one earbud in at work. DSP manager has a function called "Headset Virtual Room Effect" that effectively merges the two stereo channels.)

Photon Q has poor audio output...Is possible install beats on it ?

Hi all,
as you know - phq has poor headphones audio output.
Sound is like flat
I have tested many headphones and now i have ibeats.
I tried to install beats apk from market - phone wont boot...then install beats zip in twrp - phone
wont boot...then install older version - phone boot, but audio quality still
Can you please help me with this?
Yes. Download PimpMyRom and install Beats Audio via flashing the zip from recovery. After that, a free market download Beats Audio Installer. Run that as well. Now after all that go into settings/sound/music effects and select Beats option. In your app drawer u will find the Awesome Beats Audio app to customize the sound. Prepare to be blown away!
The only thing simple is the belief in simplicity.

Did u do a dalvik/cache wipe before install? This happened to me as well, and I did a system restore from a previous Nandroid *system ONLY! Not data/boot etc.* and poof the driver was installed. Including a screenshot for proof positive.
Let me know if u have any other problems!

Installed no problem for me also using PimpMyRom app. Downloaded right from PimpMyRom app onto sd card, flashed thru recovery and all is good

...so i tested...it make something with sound , but quality is hell sh*t
I have for compare sound old ipod touch1and audio on it is better......tooooo much better. Maybe phq has really wrong audio
...can you tell me what is for you the best audio setting on beat apk???
Suggestion
I use AC!D SoundMOD, and it really seems to help. Though it does have quite a footprint in my phone, and requires some tweaking to get the best result.

That's strange. I use Poweramp player, and with the built--in eq and preamp Beats Audio turns it into probably the best sound emitting device I have ever used, and I have been a club DJ for 8 years and a musician for 30 years. Take a look at my screenshot to see how I have mine set up...did u also install the driver from Beats Audio Installer * root from the market?

These equalizer settings sound great man, I use n7 player my music sounds great. The only issue I run into is when I use GPS or get a text while listening to music on n7, the audio from the GPS and notification is so low I can't hear it. I'm not certain if this is due to equalizer setting, beats audio, or n7 player.

Not sure...within watever player's settings you choose to use there should be mods for that particular issue.
Cheers & Happy New Year

[Audio Mod] eXtremeBeats™ LG PRO2

:laugh:i tried this mod and it is working great with the stock music and stock video app you will find new options in the app equalizer called pure surround
Brief Description of what mod does:
eXtremeBeats™ Studio and eXtraBass is a sound mod, infused with mods like PureAudio, AwesomeBeats, and BeatsAudio. This mod will give you clearer and in general more bassier sound where possible. You'll also hear many sounds you may have never heard in a android phone/tablet before. But i suggest some decent headphones to really enjoy this mod, but even with stock headphones you will have a great listening in experience.

Sound mods: which is your favourite one / combo?

Hi guys, my name is Alessandro and I've just rooted my Z3. I've seen there are many Sound Mods out there and I'd like to know which one you'd suggest me to try with. Which one produces the best sound according to you?
I was also thinking about a small portable amp for my 16 ohm earbuds. Do you use one?
Thank you!
If I had to choose one I would go with this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...-dontbelive-marshmallow-stereomod-v1-t3366065 as it seems it's the more clean one
I don't really like sound mods because many of them look like "hey we got beats, dolby, whateveryouwanttoinserthere" and then it's like... "so many stuff, does this really even work?" I like the way the original audio config for Xperia Z3 sounds, anyways you can also try using new libraries from stock sony roms (don't remember if it was on cross device or cross themes, but it was a port from androidexpert35) in the case your rom doesn't have the libraries updated already.
Also, watch out for mods that "amplify" the audio quality of your phone, many cause a crackling noise because they add a number that comes to their head instead of following the sound chipset config (this is from personal experience as I restored the original sound quality for xperia zl and z in cyanogenmod builds (unreleased job))
P.S: Do a backup of your current rom with TWRP before flashing any "sound mod" because if you have some regrets you'll regret even more not having a backup and then having to spend hours flashing again stock rom and getting your system back to what it was before flashing anything
Oh I forgot to mention that I use a pair of Sony ZX310 headphones when listening to music with the following configuration on sound enhancement (stock rom):
DSEE HX: On
Surround Sound (VPT): Studio
Equalizer
400: 0
1k: -3
2.5k: +3
6k: +3
16kHz: 0
Clear Bass: Adjust between 4 and 8 (6 is preferable but adjust to your needs)

I agree with you. I'm looking for something which can improve the audio output quality of the Z3, not just for remarkable names.
Is it possible to couple V4A with the Sony Audio Enhancements?

try one of these, the audio quality on headphones directly depend on the quality of the headphone,
Ans the settings you set on your headphone selection on V4A, I got Sony MDR-NC33 Noise which is pretty enough for me, other V4A can be experiment and find out with respect to the headphone,
see for yourself bro, and one thing the audio mods above are far more better than Sony Audio Enhancement, I tested it and tried not to leave sony stuff coz z3 coz like 40k here but at the end of the day there are more options on V4A and you can combine it with Dolby Atmos MOD mad by bro guitardedhero, cya just sharing my opinions and experiences

Thank you so much for your opinion! Wich audio mod works good combined with V4A. I mean, how do I know if some libraries will be in conflict with V4A? Which combos have you already tested?
I think you should probably install V4A and not mix it with other stuffs...
Do I have to disable the original Sony Soundenhancement.apk to use V4A?

I think ARISE WORKS BETTER,
forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/r-s-e-sound-systems-auditory-research-t3379709
that developer guitardedhero and his team are constantly updating but the the other mod that Xtreme Music is fairly good but I think he havent updated in a while and he also get banned sometimes for ad-links by the mods, any way it upto your choice I prefer more of that guitardedhero and its more stable I think, I tried both mixed in early stages of arise and xtreme music, the the sound was awesome, I got like 3 system equalizers, one for V4A, other DolbyAtmos and Xtreme Music Equalizer working simultaneously at a time, it was great, I had to throw sony's sound enhancement (sorry sony) stuff completely since if conflicts with other V4A and DolbyAtmos,
just back up your current rom, and try things out mixing them, if they dont work just google it people always have similar problems like tweaking startup init script and other workarounds.
And one last thing use powerAMP beta 3 for audio playback throw that sony music app aka walkman, it supports FLAC and has good UI and sound engine too, works with V4A. Just my experiences bro, try and find out for yourself,
http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/topic/8810-poweramp-alpha-build-703704/
And one thing get a XDXC 64 gigs SD card, listen to flac audios only n cheap mp3 ****s, if you need any flac songs pm me, i got 300gigs of it
I'm trying some specific mods for the Z3, actually the last version of the Dontbelieve's mod. Arise will be my next step. How do I disable the original Sony sound enhancement when playing with arise?

Everything working. Guys, nothing can be compared with ARISE. Harder to configure, but way better results.

Hi, i have it installed with the dolby atmos addon. I never used any profiles, i just adjusted the settings myself. I gotta say its the best out there!
I use this mainly for my car audio through bluetooth and USB (Android Auto). Turns my 6 speaker car into a true 360 surround sound system. Its so realistic and worth a try.
Search through XDA which contains guides to install.
***NOTE: Only problem i have at the moment is android auto (when plugged via usb into the cars usb port) seems to disable a.r.i.s.e completely. After checking the driver status, it shows as enabled but processing is disabled, so its not producing the setup i have. Im trying to search the web for a solution.***
Running on Oneplus 3 Cyanogenmod 14.1 lastest release with Google assistant mod
Have fun!
