it will great if battery lasts longer and a very good stable performance with little of attractive animations and themes

A rom with a tons of customization, like cyanmobile, but more stable and with the fluid of a stock based rom and a really good performance for gaming even with some apps installed

bro please more work and can u make more stable cuz some time my phone restart :S not only your rom all cyanmobile... :S ( more ram free, script)

Majority of the fit users want performance and stability, also the battery backup..
themng is the other thing. as even we can aplly themes..
so i wud go with perfomance n functionality(evrything working)..
battery backup is also a must.

M creating this thread as m sick of seeing noob people polluting the development thread just for the "nice work , congrats ,will flash it,good work, will be waiting for stable realese" blah blah blah.......n repoting small irrelevent problems too..........
so watever u have to say use this thread n keep the development thread clean..............so that the devs can build it easily.....

Hello Sachin ,
If you can please answer the following questions then it would be very helpful
1) Why is it very Difficult to develop a cyanogen mod or Miui (How do the devs go about the process) ?
2) Can you give some details about porting roms (I know dsixda's Kitchen has an option of porting and i does a very basic porting) ? once its ported using dsixda's Kitchen which tool is used for debugging for the errors which follow ?
3) Is there any other method of porting Rom's which is better ?

answer 1: there no proper source files for cm7 n miui thats y its very difficult ro make a stable version of em n the files we have r broken n even no documentatiion for them that's its difficult!!!! secondly lack of developers is also a main reason if team samsung wud have taken the work on their hands we wud have gotten cm7/miui by now....but unfortunately our devices are not so popular!!!!
2: check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1168916
you can use dsidia itself it has a option for checkin errors n for the bugs u have to corect them urslf by using brain like if some procees giving error replace its files with another rom's file!!!! thats wat i know if there is sumthing more i cant tell u as i dont know abt it
3: yes there is see this http://android.modaco.com/topic/348695-guide-how-to-port-a-rom/ and this http://www.freeyourandroid.com/guide/porting-android
n lastly thanku for using this thread n not bugging the development thread!!!
Thank you for the reply .

The stock launcher does not provide the facility for wallpaper scrolling ... and is preaty mush lagie....so u can install apex launcher......its fast nd provide more flexibility...
Guys i was thinking to upload video for every cm9 with every update....discussion problems...whts nd what is not.....
Some more small problems.....
I m using it as my daily rom......known issues r known but some more minnor isues..
Wall paper scrolling...on stock launcher....using apex launcher but facing problem with widgets.....contacts problem....not able to show contacts directly from sim.....have to import to phone first(nt a big issue)...but when u sync ur google account....ur google saved contacts r shown....i dnt know why my account is showing a single contact 8 to 9 times....if u go to display options...nd unselect google contacts....u r left with 0 contacts.........nd if u go nd select show all contacts it will show u ur google contacts with...ur sim contacts.....the problem is sim is also messing up with google account.....solution-go to settings.....account setting....remove ur google accouny...then again sign in...then immediately go to settings then account settings nd dis sellect sync contacts..... ..
Can anyone just provide link for facebook sync...which i can copy to system...i need facebook synced for ma mobile.......or just can i copu it from stock rom system......???

I just use the facebook app from market to sync all contacts ,have you tried it ??
And il flash the rom when i reach home on wed then il maybe be of more help
I tested it for a couple of hours. And was better than I expected, the phone was working reallly fast and smooth.
The most annoying bug/issue was that my Wifi wasn't working well, I couldn't find my Network.
I'll read about news, this'll be one of the best roms.
There is a quick and dirty fix for that. Just add a network manually, then scan. it works fine that way.
Indeed, ICS is very stable and fast on i9003, the biggest issue is probably Camera/Video.
Also, just as with CM7, no forms of tethering work. I use easytether.
how to enable the soft keys ?

It's so nice to see how this great ROM that is Cyanogen is developing, when i first get my I9003 i though there was little modding for this smartphone, thanks to Zeus it isn't like that!
I come from a Defy and this is my first Samsung.
I would like to know if anybody knows how often are nighties or kangs released or where i can find 'em
why there is no /system/usr/idc/mxt224_ts_input.idc in cm9?
and
does deleting 00 android from /system/lib/egl/egl.cfg and keeping it to 0 1 POWERVR_SGX530_125 improve graphic performance?
Weird problem.. unable to download anything from either market or stock browser.. the downloading bar appears but nothing gets downloaded.. surfing is ok.. just no downloads.. there is free space in sd card..
Problem on wifi and 2g as well as 3g internet..
Downloads were fine the last time i installed cm9 for testing..

[ROM] [MIUI v5] [Lewa OS] Acer Liquid E1 [Updated: 29-07-2013]

Acer Liquid E1 Custom Kernel by: Dr-Shadow
This good man ported a custom kernel from another device to work with ours. Please give this man some thanks for his hard work!!
Check it here!
Acer Liquid E1 Rom collection
New update: I was angry, threw my phone against the wall. This broke while doing so:
* sim card slot (no more 2g/3g data)..no signal whatsoever
* sd card slot damaged, not completely dead
* camera engine is messed
Therefor: I quit developing/updating the roms I have ported/made so far. Everyone (including other MTK porters, and everyone else who could use my roms) is allowed to take my rom, modify it, re-upload it (if you edited it ofcourse) and all other stuff you wish to throw at the roms. If you do, please quote me in the credits...you know..the usual...
Thanks for all your support!

The roms that are not suitable for daily use will not be uploaded! This is so I can take my time to work on them, without people asking for bugfixes or anything. Also, if you want to mod or port my rom to your device; please ask first!
Here's what you need to do to install any of these roms:
Install CWM recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39293790&postcount=2
Place the rom.zip on external SD card
Wipe data/cache/dalvik
Install rom
press thanks
As always, let the Rom settle for about 48 hours. Don't expect the rom to be at best when you just flashed it.
If you encounter a problem with my roms, I'm happy to help. But please, be specific with the problem you have: what did you do (the steps you took untill the problem occured),what rom, all the stuff that might help.
Disclaimer
Ok I put it here because I have to. Upon flashing my rom on your phone, or doing anything root related with your phone; you have void your warranty!
I am not responsible if you brick your device, but I will help as much as possible to get your device in working order.

I haven't made the 'Rom' available for download yet. I'm testing if I can make a flashable zip first.
If that works, I will make a zipped rom, that's easier to install, and it's more...well then it looks more like a rom isn't it?

Great News!
Better Camara and Batt is priority for this moment, for me is important too better Manager of Storage Memory and SD Card, anyway great job. For my conclusion i have Dual SIM and batt working the same for one SIM or two. I dont use games, but phone and apps working smooth. Great GPS (30 sec with Maps), Sound :good: and i need little more option in Setting (like in CM) for example wakeup phone with Volume Button
How do you mean better memory management? As in, more free memory, or faster app loading and such? I've put in a few tweaks for that too, i might make a list. As for screenshots, ill make some in a moment and upload it

Cwm is really hard to do. I'm not a developer at all. Also this is an mtk phone, not very popular in dev land bacause there are so many phones for it. Your best bet is to ask CM directly at this point.

JB ROM for Daily Use (Galaxy Fit)

Need a Stable/Completely working Jelly Bean ROM for my Fit that's suitable for daily use.....
The ROMs I've tried so far include MiniCM10 by The-Superman, CM10 4.1.2,CM10.1.2 JB 4.2.2 by Yajnavalkya, and CM10.1 by Erickas.
All these ROMs I tried were very good but lacked some or the other feature I needed.
Minicm10 was good at battery and performance but is an older version JB 4.1.2
Yajnab's new 4.2.2 is excellent in Performance and extremely Smooth but lacks battery life and needs just quite a bit of resizing (for eg. clock app)....
I was thinking of Lenio vQuattro but I read in the replies that it had a problem with WiFi not working sometimes....
If anyone could suggest a good one I'd really appreciate your help

JB Roms aren't officially supported for our fit. So if you are searching for stable builds, always prefer stock roms or atleast stock based custom roms and even CM7.

I know that our lovely fit hasn't had the luck to get an official one, but I still need a stable/near stable build of JB suitable for my needs.
I am quite bored of the stock Samsung Gingerbread, though I've customized it quite a bit to my liking

If u like customizing and need JB like UI, try jellybread rom. I am using CM10.1.4 by yajnab, its pretty much stable although lags occur.

Any more suggestions? If u find any ROM based on Cm10 suitable for daily use with an average battery life of more than 18-20 hrs with moderate use, please do suggest me any......
And btw does CM7 not support Link2sd? I tried it on Jellybread but didn't work. Is it a problem with Jellybread or CM7 itself? And does CM10 also not support Link2sd? I know it works with Stock ROMs......
And if nt Link2sd could u suggest any alternatives to it? Thnx in Advance to you fr reading such a long post
Found a great solution
Found a really nice solution to having good battery Life in JB.....
I flashed Yajnab's CM 10.1.4 30-8 build, and flashed alin.p's Badass Kernel.
(You can choose any ROM of ur choice....LOL)
Use 245 MHz - 652 MHz Processor Speed (600 MHz causes ForceClose, as told to me by swat4samp), SmartassH3 or Conservative as Processor Governor and I/O scheduler as SIO.
Getting 20-24 Hours of battery life easily with low-moderate usage (screenshot below )
Remember, Overclocking, Untimely Charging, Heavy Usage, Flashing Custom ROMs frequently (thus losing calibration of ur battery percentage) are the major issues that cause poor battery performance. Take care of your phone and it will take care of you!
Thanks to Yajnab and androidarmv6 dev team for their ROM, swat4samp for being a Huge help, alin.p for his efficient Kernel, u fr reading this post and everyone else I forgot to mention.....
HAPPY FLASHING! :good:
try yajnabs cm10.1.4
best 4.2 rom
after flashing in settings about phone click or tap build number seven times
then u will activate developers options and performance settings
in developers options
turn off all the animation
then
set disable hw overlays .......it gets deselects after every reboot so after booting select disable hw overlays first it reduces lag very much

nd in performance

I have developer options. In them, I do not see some options that are mentioned that they should be excluded. I don't know what should be included in Performance?

[SHARE][TWEAK] meCheat Tweaks- Android 2.3.5 - 4.1.2

I'm just sharing the work of DroidFolks and I'm not responsible for any damage that will happen to your device.
Tested on Micromax A110 with 4.1.2 rom.
NOTE: Please make a NANDROID BACKUP of your current rom so to avoid any loss of your data.
THE TWEAK PACKAGE INCLUDES : BATHOCK TWEAKS- Increases your battery life and backup by upto 35% as I told in above.
HELLLOPS TWEAKS- Prevent boot loops when flashing any ROM or related or editing build.prop file. May not work in some devices as they may differ from their root files.
LAGSIP TWEAKS: Stop or decreases (depends on RAM usage) lags when using any Live Wallpaper or any app or game as told above.
NETFORKS TWEAKS: Increases internet speed by upto 25% on any network. See more on http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1961353
VOLPRO TWEAKS: Make music and sounds more clearer and loud. Tip: Works excellent with Bravia Hack Engine!
TOUCH OPTIMIZE: Increases and faster the touch quality of your phone.
SYSTEM HIBERNATE: Conserves (not increases) battery upto 40% and conserver RAM usage upto 55% when you are not using your phone. And also prevents FCs in mean time.
INSTALLATION
1. Download meCheat.zip to SD Card.
2. Just directly flash by CWM Recovery. No need to wipe or mount anything.
3. Fix permissions (optional).
4. Reboot system now!

MOD Edit: Please do not replicate threads like this. You should present how these tweaks worked on this device and you must always seek the original developer's permission before providing down load links.

1. For me is nice enough, with good settings on S8 port Noble ROM and good N0G33K kernel is even about ~6h SoT.
2. Even after underclocked, undervolted and on battery saver mode (medium) is smoothly, fast and nice
Don't understand good but yes it's working and isn't problem xD
4. Newest so just better... Must be
5. After UC and UV phone is really much more colder then before even "in stress", I don't playing so much in games but after "my tweaks" which I wrote in point 2 I had ~75k in AnTuTu Benchmark.
6. Every ROM you can root or not, Xposed also is for Nougat ROM's but for me isn't stable and usable enough yet and not compatible with SafetyNET etc.
Sry for my English. BTW look my signature on what i'm. Check also my posts there are some informations how and what to do.

Yup, I see. thanks bro
many users report that battery charging not up while using n only drain the battery. Now I just wait for xposed to be stable n good daily drive. Otherwise only custom rom is better than stock.

Any bugs... Everything works fine. About camera... For me camera from [email protected] Port Rom is much better then before, after install ZeroCameraMod v3 is reaaaally pro-camera. About battery, with that ROM, kernel etc what you see in my signatures + my own Synapse configuration and for example for now my phone is ~22h in standby with ~3,5h SoT and is ~30% battery yet
