Chronus on cm 10.1 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

On cm 10.1 and chronus widget doesn't work. Can't figure it out. Clock works but weather doesn't
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app

What doesn't work? If it is not showing, you need to drag the widget window to a bigger size. If it is something else, please specify.

Well I may be slow because that worked on my home screen but not on my lock screen. The weather is not showing
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app

When you are at the lock screen, try swiping down the screen, starting at the clock in the middle. It should slide out the weather. It is by design. At lock, the widget area starts minimized everytime. You can swipe it open, just like swiping open the notification area.
Hope that helps!

I got it working. Thanks for your help. I had to put it on another screen and it worked fine just moved it over and deleted the other one. Weird or my fault oh well working now.

Hmm I'm having the same issue you had. I can't see weather. Tried moving it to another screen and swiping the widget down but nothing. What did you do?

Nvm! I didn't realize I had to turn it on in system setting.. Looks great, thanks Cm team :good:

I'm loving Chronus, especially on the lockscreen . For the record, to get it on the main lockscreen page, you hold the clock icon on the lockscreen and remove it like the standard homescreen widgets, and then press the add button, and select Chronus.

Chronus has been cherry picked to AOKP. For the life of me I can't figure out how to put the weather widget on my screen (not lock screen), the clock is fine. I've searched high and low, I wonder if it's broken for the rom.

Go into the Chronus settings and enable the weather features there, it will automatically add the weather data below the clock then. Also, make sure you have expanded the widget box to make enough room for the extra info to show!

For me the problem was go launcher. with apex for example the widget displays normally.

Thanks, I did find out it was go launcher that caused the issue.

Same here. Using CM 10.1 on xt912 and the 'stock' trebuchet launcher. Weird the weather won't show data at all, but the calendar event stuff works just fine.

Countdown widget on Lockscreen

I've been downloading/trying a couple of countdown widgets. But none that I need for. For my job I always have a certain 'time' that I keep track of and need a simple looking countdown widget that I can place in the lockscreen so when the first thing I see when pushing the power button would be that widget. Nothing big like years and days widget, just simple hours and minutes. Thanks... anyone??? Ok.
Maybe check out the widget Evulhotdog told me about in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=749340
Lets you put any Home screen widgets you want directly into the Lock screen. Of course, that means you need a countdown/timer widget, right?
Oh yeah I purchased widget locker and had completely changed my phone. Now to find a countdown to place there......

[Solved] Android Revolution + ADW EX

I'm using Android Revolution and ADW EX launcher. Now I can't edit the icons anymore on adw ex. I hold down on the icon and nothing happens. Anyway to fix this?
surely you would just need to tap it to change it ?

Tapping it starts up the apps.....
ive just tried and mine works fine ?? im running everything the same as you.
1. Could do with a restart maybe?
2. Try removing the battery and see if that helps? Sometimes my screen doesnt respond to long presses.?
Tried that^ Still not working.
There's an option in ADW to lock or unlock the desktop. Sounds like it's locked right now. Locking prevents things like having your dock icons slip out every time you flip up the hidden dockbar but makes it so you can't do any alterations.

ughh forgot about that. I just uninstall and reinstalled it and its working now.
Glad it's working now! For all the options I tweaked with ADW, locking the desktop was the last thing I discovered.

Go Launcher EX v2.71 (Tab Optimized)

I gave go launcher another shot since the released a newer version that isn't a beta. been using all day and its NICE! I only have noticed 2 bugs, which is a slight freeze in screen transition that only happens randomly and not a bother. the other is that it seems to default to the first page sometimes, although the 3rd is my home page. overall, excellent job by the Go Dev team... really like what they've done so far and look forward to updates.
one suggestion if you have an older version already installed, try uninstalling, then do a fresh installation of the updated version. that gave me the best results, rather than installing on top of the previous version.
Needs some more work. Would like it if you could hide the dock bar completely or make the dock bar rotate when in landscape.
Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
It still isn't really tablet optimized. The "zoom to fill screen" & "stretch to fill screen" toggle is still there. That has to go. I can deal with that in an app, but not in my home launcher.

Huh? You can do both. (assuming you refering to GoLaunchers dock) I have it as my downwardgesture to hide/show dock.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
i didn't notice the stretch to zoom until I read your post, so I guess it doesn't bother me. as for the dock, it can be hidden easily as already stated.
Tech support from GO launcher developer is nonexistent. I have contacted them 3 times since December 20th and nothing. their launcher is not bad, but I do not like the home button in the app drawer, and so far I have been unable to find a way to turn the damn thing off.
If I can't get this resolved here pretty soon I will be uninstalling and finding another launcher and uninstalling the GO launcher
Why does this 'home' button bother you? Theme it to a black bar and hide it...?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
I just meant that it would be nice to be able to disable the dock all together. No need for gestures at all.
waste of space in the app drawer

Just changing the theme color to "hide" the button itself doesn't stop the "soft" button's operation, for me it is a useless waste of space in the app drawer and limits the scaling of the app count layout on the screen, I am lazy and the fewer swipes to scroll through the full app drawer the better. I have used other launchers and they have the capability to switch the app drawer home "soft" button on or off so I do not see why this is a problem to implement in one of their updates.
The worst problem is NO response from their tech support after multiple contacts; not even a HI, confirmation of receipt, we will look into it, or F U, nothing... and on principal -- I do not put up with piss poor customer support for anything, there are too many other option available.
I cannot get the Dock to rotate into landscape. Running current version , 2.75!

How do you rotate it? You are right, gestures can hide it.
I agree the 'Home Button' is a nauseated icon. I used to use Vertical sliding but the icon has reverted me back to horizontal loop of which became my preference to organize different screens in the app drawer, so I understand what you mean.
I had some difficulty reaching out to them also. Eventually they responded. I found the only way they respond is thru the Feedback part within the app. I also found that making the words very minimal (?), not so.... Uhhh, technical? Their 'Engrish' is very limited. Once I even used pics with circles and lines to describe something.

Well, there is an option within GoLauncher that allows the setting. Press Menu from home screen, Preferences, Operation Settings. On top is the Screen Orientation. GoLauncher does not override whatever you have set Android to. For instance, mine is set to AutoRotation, but my tablet is locked in VerticalMode so it never moves.
I would also like to point out that in Horizontal mode, you can not put the dock on the side... But I like that idea and I'm probably going to suggest that to the dev team right after I finish this msg...

Circles widget like Droid RAZR M?

you have 2 options. One is called One More Clock Widget, looks just like it but the clocks are don't flip when u swipe them and don't show missed calls and texts like the motorola one. Option 2 is installing the Razr M launcher and it all works great, but scrolling left to the quick settings screen has a little lag. Its here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1900190

I downloaded the necessary apks from this thread (parts of a system dump I provided when I used to have the Razr M - returned it for the S3).
I'm on codename 3.6.0 and I don't notice any lag at all. I think it's a great widget and the launcher is better than trebuchet IMO.

This is the best notifications app I've tried so far
A bit laggy but works on my Xperia Z 4.2.2.
Would be great if both apps would be merged.
Installed nils+ on htc one x/cm10.2nightly
I'll give it a go next few days and see if I can make up some suggestions
This is just what I needed.
Let me try this

Ok, works very good.
suggestion: build some kind of filter, I get notifications from xprivacy, titanium media sync and apps I installed through the web playstore. Notifications which I personally find not interesting enough to display on the lockscreen. Maybe something like: "press 5 seconds on the notification to put the app on the ignorelist"
I would pay for nils+ by the way, how much is it gonna cost?
---------- Post added at 08:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:16 PM ----------
ok, ignore my previous post, it's in the nils app, not in the nils+. I assume it will work
@Roymam I have NiLS from the Play Store installed as of right now... do I have to uninstall that version, then download and install v1.2.5r2, then download and install NiLS+ v0.5r5?! Thanks man, awesome app, been using it for about 2 weeks now, used to use DashClock but find this much better!!
EDIT: Nevermind v1.2.5r2 just went live on the Play Store!

Feedback
Hi!
I´am using this fantastic app from the start and helped with the first translations. A great project!
Here is my feedback for the new extension:
1. There are apps that add always new lines to the same notification. The problem is that new lines are added to the end of the list. But I need the newest line on top (it´s also an issue with the main app).
2. It happens too often that you accidentally swipe down and kill all entries. There should be a symbol to reach (match) or something else (like you have to do to unlock to the app directly).
3. I would be great to delete expanded notifications my dragging the icon on a symbol like a trashcan
4. How about a system where you can flip through all expanded notifications or display the next one after deleting the current?
5. There should be a mode where you can use the extension together with the widget of the main-app to have the configurable clockfaces...
Keep on rockin!
