[Q] Smart Actions - Sounds - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hy Guys...
there's one thing that I can't resolve in smart actions... I have one smart action Sleep that puts the phone in completely silent... it turns off even the vibrate call...
but here's the problem... i use to configure my phone to usualy keep in silent mode, but vibrating... and when the smart action sleep turns off, the silent vibration status don't come back... the cel remains in silent mode...
where do I configure smart actions to return exactly the status before something turns on??
thanks a lot!

Vibration Problem on Samsung Galaxy S

Hey, I got my samsung galaxy s yesterday and I have a problem..When I have silence mode on with vibration it doesn't vibrate when i recieve a new sms and that really bugs me..any solutions? I've tried sound manager and it doesn't work.
Please Help Me!
/Anton
the volume buttons... on the side... can fix that for you. press the down button until you get to the "vibrate" setting... and um, press the up button to turn the ringer back on and away from the "vibrate" setting -- the more times you press the up button the louder your ringer will be and visa versa until you get to the silent mode :/
that silent mode in the notifications section is just pointless in my opinion :/
I also had this problem today at doctors office, and missed a call.
I'am new to this phone and forum, but found this works. This is just one way,
I'am sure there are others too.
From Home Screen, Select Menu, Select Settings, Select Sound & Display
Check Silent Mode to "ON"
Check Phone Vibrate to "ON" (I leave this "ON" all the time anyway)
This way you only have to toggle ON & OFF the Silent Mode, as the Vibrate
always stays "ON", unlike if you use Silent from the Notification Screen. I don't
know why.

[APP][2.2+]Am I Silent? - Check your ringmode in your pocket + shake for silent mode

Hey,
this is the official support thread for my new app.
It's free and available on Play Store
Description:
Check you current ring mode and switch to silent mode without taking your phone out your pocket.
Just press your home- or power button when your phone is in your pocket and the app will vibrate to tell you which ringmode it is in:
Vibrate once - Silent
Vibrate twice - Vibrate
Vibrate thrice - Ring
After those vibrations you can enable the option to switch to silent mode if you shake the phone.
You can configure the time your phone will listen for your shake action as well as the strength of your shake to prevent false triggers.
I will hold this one
Haha nice
How did you program this?

Thanks!
I check the proximity sensor on screen-on events.
Also I use the accelerometer for shake detection.
Is this what you meant?

[Q] CyanogenMod 7.2 Lockscreen - Vibrate instead of Silent?

Hi all,
Can someone please tell me what configuration options I should use to have the Rotation lockscreen put my phone into Vibrate mode instead of Silent mode?
There are two buttons on the lockscreen: one for unlocking the screen, and the other for quickly flipping the ringing mode. With CM7.1, using that button used to put the phone into Vibrate mode. I've switched to CM7.2 a few days ago and it sets the phone into Silent. I can't seem to find the option to say that I want Vibrate.
Thank you.

Is there a way to turn vibrate off completely?

I just got my Idol 3 today and I figured out how to turn off most vibrate options. However, it won't turn off for notifications. I have turned the volume down and tried to put it on silent, but the vibrate stays on. I haven't seen anything in the settings that would help, either. Is vibrate always on? Is there even a way to turn it off? I just don't want my phone to vibrate and disturb me when I'm sleeping or if I'm in a situation where no phones are allowed like a meeting or an exam.
Hangouts has vibrate on/off toggles in three places under its own settings. Your Google account has two toggles for Google Voice and Hangouts messages. Also, sms has a toggle.
silence vibrate
to put it in silent mode, press volume down until it shows vibrate, then choose what to vibrate - All, Priority, or None. Tap None, then chose for how long, or Indefinitely
I just figured this out while trying to silence those annoying ads that vibrate the phone
WOW... THANK YOU!! You have no idea how much this helped my life!
I would also like to know if you can turn off vibration but not have it on silence

Silent Vibration mode as on iPhone

Hey folks, I've switched from an iPhone 6s to the Pixel. Zero regrets about that decision but I'm really missing on feature. The Silent/Vibration Mode you can activate with the switch on the side. Unfortunately the do not disturb mode kills all vibrations, when you're getting called f.e., but I would still like to get notified when getting called but just the vibration not the sound. Do you have any ideas, because I haven't found anything in the settings. Thanks in advance :highfive:
My phone never makes a sound, I just have it on vibrate only.
Use your volume switch and slide the "Ring" slider all the way to the left. If you hit volume down from there, it can go into do not disturb mode. Volume up again will put it back and vibrating only.
Also, if you go to Settings > Sound make sure that 'Also vibrate for calls' is turned on.
