I'm having an issue with my Bluetooth and am wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. For some reason, when I have my car connected via Bluetooth for audio/calls and I connect to GPS (using Garmin or VZ navigator, for example), the Bluetooth fully disconnects. I can have the car reconnect just fine, but if I leave the navigation open, the Bluetooth will disconnect again almost immediately. I know this isn't an issue with my car, as I've had other phones that don't have the issue.
At this point I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue. I have the Verizon 8x. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi,
I've got a problem using an external GPS with bluetooth (with my HTC touch pro). I can pair the devices, the gps ist recognized by the software (igo), but after a time (sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes) the software says, that the gps signal has been lost. At that time it seems that even the bluetooth-connection is switched off, because my headset, which is also connected by bluetooth, looses its conection, too. If I turn bluetooth off and after that on again I can re-establish a connection.
Till now I tried to disconnect the headset to see if the problem also appears when there's only one device connected. But the problem still exists.
Do you have any hints to solve the problem?

Android Froyo, HTC Desire HD with Navigon Mobile Navigator.
I can connect the phone to my car stereo through Bluetooth. Everything works fine. I can receive and make calls and music routed through to Bluetooth perfectly. When I use Mobile Navigator the turn-by-turn instructions come through the phone speaker, then a second later they also come through the bluetooth connection to the car. The beginning of the bluetooth instruction is also cut off. I can't find anywhere to explicitly disable the phone speaker when audio is routed to Bluetooth, although other apps don't seem to suffer from this. Anyone know a hack?
Same Problem here. sound is routed through bluetooth and phone speaker while bluetooth is cut off. I assume the Navigon software has a bug here. I hope they fix it soon
unfortunately I did not find any workarround or fix till now
anyone?
I had a workaround using car UI by beemer. Unfortunately after upgrading to android 2.2.1 I can't make it work anymore but am not sure where the problem lies as even downgrading again through backup-restore left the same problem. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has a magic trick for producing the right combination of settings as I know this was working before with a 2.2.0 based rom and car UI.
Hi all,
I wasn't planning updating to the custom ROM but I'm having connection issues with bluetooth at my car (I got to turn off and then turn on bluetooth on the phone to get it connected) and I was wondering if new ROM going to solve this problem or it's more like hardware?
Any idea?
Thanks
Alex
what kind of radio? even with a custom rom (evils Z) on my pioneer f90bt sometimes i have to turn the blue tooth on and off for it to connect. sometimes it connects first try.
BT is a finicky protocol. Do you have BT issues with any other devices and your phone, or just the car stereo?
Just this stupid stereo. It works fine with other cars. But other phones works fine with my stereo
May be the stereo not sending out a connection request when you turn your car on have u tried re-pairing? I've had similar with a headset.
I tried re-pairing with no result. I can initiate car bt connection manually so I'm pretty sure it's the phone issue.
Since 4.4.1 it seems my car Bluetooth requires me to click a notification to "Pair" my device to my phone each time I connect. Anyone else having this issue, or know how to get it back to just seamlessly pairing?
I have a Huawei Watch and it seems to keep connection with my S6 just fine. I however have issues with every other bluetooth device at times. I have a shower speaker/phone, car 1 bluetooth phone + audio, Car 2 bluetooth phone only, and car 2 bluetooth music gateway. All of these have issues.
I can't get the S6 to connect some times so I have to turn bluetooth off then back on. Sometimes that works, but sometimes I have to restart the whole phone for it to work. Does anyone else have similar bluetooth issues? It is driving me nuts.
