I've found a great reading app for my 4 year old. It's called A Day at the Zoo. It's an interactive story where the child can make decisions (which are always the right one). The voices are male and female and are very pleasant to listen to. You can also make pictures of the animals My kid loves it and it's much better for them than just sitting and watching TV as they get to read and interact with this app. Try it out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sorcerygames.adatz

I posted this in the nexus one apps topic but it should probably go here
V 1.0 of the Zombie Survival Handbook is now out, and I would love feedback. If you don't want to spend the 0.99, I would still appreciate thoughts as to what type of things you would want in this sort of app.
Current items that aren't found in normal zed apps:
Excerpts from the army survival guide for survival on the go in a variety of climates
Cultural overview of zeds myths from different parts of the world
Historical overview of how our modern zombie was shaped over the last 100 years
One of the suggestions was a review of modern zed literature + movies, and here are some of my favorites at least that you may not have seen
The original REC (quarantine)- was amazing.
FIDO was very well done.
Dance of the dead was low budget but fun to watch.
and I've heard good things about ' Dead Set' but haven't seen it yet- 6 episode 'what if' in which the big brother house is assaulted by zombies. (They're cut off from the world so don't realize z-day is here)
Well, seeing as we haven't had any zombie attacks yet, I have no real input...
I will test it though, could be a good read just in case.
A barcode to scan in OP would be nice.
Anyway, trying it out
I thought dead set was pretty good, not my favorite, but certainly better then a lot of the other zombie movies that are around.
If there some sort of guarantee?? If I spend 99 cents and end up being a Zed I'm going to want my $$ back or the equivalent in brains depending on how Im feeling.
With the android market you always have 24 hours to cancel after your *first* purchase for a full refund.
If it's longer than that and you feel like I truly put out crap, I'll do whatever I can to help you. I suggest going with the 24 hour route since I feel at the very least I am responsive.
Any relation to the book The Zombie Survial Guide by Max Brooks? If so, I'd gladly give up my $0.99
The only relation is in the general theme.
Brooks did a good job but created a backstory for his type of zombie with the fictional Solanum virus. It also assumes the role of a world which has already had outbreaks particular to his class of zombie.
This app goes with a more generalized focus on survival, also using portion of the army survival guide for wilderness survival for its 'on the run' section. I.E.- Finding food in a desert environment, or avoiding heat casualties / frostbite related injuries in a desert/arctic environment respectively.
The cultural overview is something I'm always looking out for, zombie like creatures and references throughout history. I've received some feedback but would love it if more people emailed with little tidbits
Being a complete novice to software development, having nothing but an idea, a friend who could draw and a small amount of money I could spare, I posted on XDA that I was looking for a developer to help me create a simple child's game for tablets and HD devices. I got a fantastic response, chose my developer apdroid and soon work was started.
Now I'm happy to announce the fruits of our labour... Audabobble.
It's a simple "hear the sound and drag it to the correct image" game, with loads of bright colours and fun sounds to attract kids.
The specially created graphics are at HD resolutions, and is optimised for the mass of Android tablets that is about to sweep over us.. and the swam of pre school and nursery kids who will be addicted to them... but it also plays on regular phones just as well.
Please take a look, and tell me what you think. It's free to install off the market and has no adverts.

Lovely ... but ...
Lovely looking game, very easy for kids to pick up, but ... £1.00 for extra screens and you only get two to start with? I doubt many people will cough up that much, which is a shame, because the idea is good.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look and commenting.
You make a fair point, the cost is always an issue. It has to be a balancing act.
Each screen costs me a lot of money for the original artwork, and the license for the sounds (which can really rack up when you have so many objects involved). That, and the fact that coming up with original idea for scenes can be really difficult (there will only be eight scenes in total).
Also, I would have been happy to charge only 50p for two scenes but that was below Google's minimum cost allowed for all the countries.
I'm working in the hope that having screaming kids in the back of the car will inspire users to purchase additional scenes, just to get a little respite
Relaxing Sounds X
It's been well established that sounds can affect a person's mood. It is with that premise in mind, that this app was created. Within this app you'll find a great selection of sounds intended to put you in a good, relaxed mood. It's a great accessory to have at work, when the error messages, the ringing phones, and other unhappy noises just get to be too much to bear. You can also use it to help you fall asleep at night, or if you are trying to meditate. Regardless of your reason for wanting to escape the noise pollution that dampens your mood, consider this app your ticket out of it.
Some of the Animations and Sounds include Forest Floor, Sunset at Bridge, Nature's Grass, Island Getaway, Lake Scene, Forest Night, Ocean Front and so on.
Hope you enjoy the hours of relaxing audio as much as we!
We will be updating the application with new sounds on a regular basis and can't wait to hear from you and your feedback
We here at Xffect.com would like to give a special thanks to BlendSwap.com, and all of the great users which we give acknowledgement to within the application for their amazing graphics!

Re: Gun Commando out now on Playstation Mobile!
I will be writing up my thoughts and adding them here later this morning. Trust me.....its good. Both the game and my review of it.
Sent from my R800x using xda premium
OK, here are some of my thoughts on this game. In the 90s I was in my teens. And have many fond memories of fragfests of Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Duke Nukem, Star Wars Dark Forces, and many others.
Now playing Gun Commando reminds me of many of these games. Graphically it reminiscent of the early FPS shooters in the mid 90s. But there are some 3D elements to it, if you see the video Legion showcased you will see that mostly in the vehicles it has a psuedo 3D effect which I must say is done very well.
Controls are too sensitive for me off the bat so I lowered it to three and it played very well, smooth and fast.
The story is pretty basic and generic, but lets face it unless your thinking Halo or any modern FPS the story is always just there to give you something. But then again its like an action movie. No one sees an action movie for the story, its the action.
So to narrow it down to Pros/Cons:
Cons (Just to get this out of the way first)
* Controls initally way too sensitive (lowered to 3 for me resolved this)
* Story is pretty basic, but we knew that
* Levels are a little too short ( I played to level 4 so perhaps they get bigger)
Pro's
* Really like the comic book style opening, done very well
* Found the dialog in the comic sequences to be funny at times
* Graphics are lush, vibrant and look great with the light 3D touch up
* Controls, once adjusted, were great
To add to this, I have been thus far greatly disappointed in the PSM. I found the payment system to be highway robbery. Paying $5 at a time is assinine in my opinion. And after about 2-3 weeks since its release, PSM, I removed the app entirely from my phone. But with the release of Gun Commando I reinstalled and bought the game. And I must add that I am glad I did. First game I have bought (Ive purchased 5 games prior to Gun Commando) where I didnt wish I could get a refund.
So if you like classic FPS, and want to add one more to the Xperia PLAY with short quick levels, for that get up and go... Gun Commando could be yours, for a small fee. So enjoy it as I do.
And thank you Legion for making the video, it was very well done and I felt showcased the game nicely.
Side note - In an attempt to locate the Playstation Mobile Reviews that BrianChase was mentioning I came across this YouTube channel, have not watched them yet so dont know how good the makers reviews are.

I just realized 12 hours after posting my thoughts... the sound. Yes... the sound in this game.... excellent in my opinion. Pretty standard fare but it plays nicely with the fast game. As stated you owe it to your self to pay the $3 and buy this game.....
On a side not... I played 4 levels just now.... and wow..... me gots a headache.. but in a good way. The comic scenes.. love all the wife jokes....funny.. BUY THIS GAME...
The soundtrack is surprisingly good for a mobile game, and the duke nukem esque quotes are good for a chuckle. This game is a definite buy, you are right about that!

We texted and eventually spoke on the phone, even her voice oozed sexuality! I was mentally seducing her with every fiber in my body. She confided that she loves to have the male take charge, bringing out that sexual deviant in me, having some experience in light bondage and enjoying it. There is nothing as erotic as when one of your senses are removed such as sight or touch, and placing all trust into a partner.
The type of things we were discussing of likes and dislikes definitely could be considered kinky, but not to an extreme where safe words would came into play...at least not yet.
Mary shared a little of her past sexual experiences and pitfalls, so I was fully learning what fueled her inner desires and what was off limits. Luckily for me, the items off limits were a definite no for me as well.
Mary described herself as being a switch, enjoying being dominate but also loves to give up all control and being the sub in a relationship. She described having to always be in control with her life and everything around her, so being able to relinquish that role in a sexual relationship and being completely used was exactly what she yearned for.
