Sorry if the answer is already posted, but I have searched for days..
I have seen other people who have made comments who made the same mistake, but cannot find out how to fix it.
Essentially, I flashed a P990 baseband/ROM onto my P999 by accident and now the partitions are sckrewed up whenever I attempt to CWM restore a stock image.
Any suggestions?

NVFlash? Available for G2X?
K here's how I fixed it for people who may wonder later.
Download the bin here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037120
Download/install smartflash tool here:
http://android.modaco.com/topic/335494-12-aug-smartflash-stock-baseband-release-103521-20110725/
Follow same instructions, except in the ROM copy D/L tab, browse and select only the AP bin. I couldn't get the CP bin to work, something about couldn't find magic number..
Reboot and voila. You get factory T-Mobile software + splash screen. (I'm with Wind, so this is the only difference, and I guess OTA's wont work anymore..Wind really f*@#ed me up by labelling it LG Optimus 2X and P999)

I did the same thing to my 999 after it got hopelessly stick on the S/W screen. I tried the Smartflash tool, and was also only able to do the AP.bin file. That gave me the stock ROM, but NO BASEBAND - which I think is in the CP.bin file.
If you have working baseband, you are real lucky - as it apparently survived the LGupdater tool.
For those of you who are not so lucky, there is a recent thread in the Dev section that has a NVflash setup (including partitions). If you have exhausted all other remedies - give it a try.
PLEASE post results in that thread.

From the broken S/W screen, I nvflashed a stock p990 image that Paul made somewhere. That resulted in phone model saying P990, no baseband, no battery, wifi worked thou. AFTER THAT, I did the steps mentioned above.
I bricked my phone by flashing a bad recovery image, it hung at lg logo, all I had was S/W Update mode which is essentially download/emergency mode. Used lgnpst to flash Optimus M to it, no screen. Then I found the one for Optimus S. I figured the screen would work, so I flashed that one. Gingerbreak for root flash_image and xionia cwma recovery, which is what I used before i wanted to try a full touch recovery. nandroid restored to my quattrimus cm9 backup from before brick. No signal. Incorrect baseband, I am screwed. Now, my question is, "Can somebody supply me with the US Cellular .bin so that I can use lgnpst to flash that in emergency mode?" because that would fix the baseband and reallow my signal and data to work right? But I also screwed my MEID and all that when I unbricked it. I don't have any of that stuff. (the meid is under the battery I know that.) Please HELP Soon.
I am not a super noob, I know what I'm doing most of the time. I just can't seem to find that file.
Actually, I did find what I was looking for, and I did get the .bin. I will upload it to mediafire. Anyone who was in this same boat, or is just looking for a way to get your optimus device on US Cellular can get the .bin

This is the tutorial you musto follow:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942836
When choosing KDZ file, use the latest for your country, from here:
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=2
PS: Just noticed there is no Sweden ROM there, just use EUROPE OPEN.
Ok I have done this..but it installed CWM recovery and also in Android Gingerbread it gives me 0 mb internal storage, even after factory reset and storage format...
Whats the diffrence between a .kdz and a bin file? I downloaded a kdz file from ur second link but in the unbrick method in the first link its all about bin files..

A KDZ file includes a rom (BIN file) and a baseband (FLS file).
If you flash a rom (BIN file), you will need to also flash a compatible baseband (FLS file).
My phone is stuck in a bootloop with LG logo and LG animation...i try to enter the Recovery with 3D+Volume down and Power button until vibration....but nothing is happening....only LG logo appears then dissappears----
Now it entered. But there was no vibration and i needed to press volume up or down for the screen to appear....strange :S
