Anyone install the Beats Audio drivers? Thoughts? - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Wondering if anyone installed the Beats Audio drivers from the App Market, and what thoughts are on pre- and post-install.

I installed, it removed the hiss but bass was a little off, not satisfied enough to keep it as it also knocks you off the update with stock firmware.

Install Ac!d audio v5 from xda... It is much better because it incorporates all other sound technologies as well.... Try either the noozxide or awesome bests add ons... My bass sounds much more clear now

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a shot.

[Q] Dre beats media player on sensation

I have a sensation and I was looking to upgrade my media player tobthe dre beats branded player. Is there a way to do it? Or would my best bet be to just wait for the ics update since ics introduces music equalizer into the os?
Sadly the sensation won't get beats audio MOD, as far as I have heard. But you can install a custom rom, which includes that MOD. But to be honest it isn't that good.
Is the dre beats app just like an equalizer on roids?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
No, Beats audio mod is an addon which is featured in the current HTC phones, the sensation is the one without it. But you could flash a ROM, which includes it. But I wouldn't recommend that, as it isn't worth taking a risk bricking your device, for something stupid as that.
Oh ok I have yet to root my sensation because I know HTC is building a stable ics update. So basically it'll be better to just wait for ics and use the equalizer built into the os?

Yeah, that is one way to say it
And one more question for you, and im out of your hair. I currently have a rooted evo I use it to listen to my music. Its rooted with cyanogenmod and I use a good pair of skullcandy headphones i keep bass boost enabled is that pretty much the same outcome to dre beats? I mean I understand dre beats are clearer but in terms of volume and bass?

[Q] Sound boost

I have been searching for sound booster app/solution but cant find one. I tried Voodoo's apps but they arent compatible with Skyrocket. Anyone figured this out?
Yep give up hope

The only success I had with increased volume was the xloud baked in sky ics. I miss it but I'm loving mhx.

Jacking up the EQs on Equalizer by Smart Audio Apps, market link, definitely boosts the sound but busts up quality. The reason I am looking for a solution to this is sometimes I get AVIs that are just a little too quiet. I could put them in a video program, adjust audio levels and export but its too much trouble.

can MEGA BASS BEATS BE PORTED TO THE ATRIX 2?

Probably but more bass does not mean better quality audio, if anything this would sacrifice quality to give more bass.
Make a backup of your current setup. Download the Beats Audio for any phone from the Rezound forum. Try that out. Also, DSP with Beats works well for combo EQ. You may try Poweramp or other music apps as well. The more you have, the more customization, but also a little hassle on remembering. Poweramp has the Beats and SRS effects included on devices with supported hardware.

I second poweramp. I hate buying apps but it is so worth the price. just make sure you don't have beats installed as they don't always play nice. It has a much better equalizer than any standalone app.

I don't have it, but to be honest I am also not impressed with beats whatsoever.
I used this one and it works beautifully.

I couldnt really notice a huge difference through headphones, but when plugged up to my cars stereo which i have put some money into i can notice a huge difference.
Thanks guys greatly Appreciated I use it in my car as well I got full custom system

Beats is nothing more than a software equalizer. For the same effect (plus a lot more customization), try Volume+ from the Play Store. It even has a "Beats" mode.
There's also Equalizer by smart android, I've got it on my phone & the difference is awesome!

I'm wondering this as well. I've been using Mort Player for music (unless someone can recommend something else for audiobooks/podcasts), but the EQ settings between Mort and other external EQs don't seem to make a big difference (and it should, based on my headphones)
Here. Both .zip files are to be flashed in CWM. Beats Music Player is pretty sexy too. The music player can be installed on any ROM. No need to push. You can download and install or simply bake in ur own custom cake, ...fruit.

The player is not that great.
But, you don't have to do all this to get the Codec's/Drivers and the improved sound quality.
Just download the "Beats Audio Installer" from the Google play store (Free), run it, reboot the phone and use your favorite media player.
I have awesome BEATS. When using it with just phone speakers, No big difference. When in the car with a loaded system, GIANT difference!
Is the huge difference when playing through headphone jack?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
I've tries both I'd rather have awesome beats because Beats Audio causes in call volume low I've notice and it stops certain equalizers from working

I don't ever listen through headphones, but listening via bluetooth with my car stereo, it does sound much better. The most reliable way I know of to install is through the Aroma KoaK zip installer v.847 which can be found in boobah's thread here.

Motorola Atrix 2 (Lithium rom) with beats audio.

Hey guys, resently i have been testing some roms like, supercharged v6,Sonya and lithium.
I found that the lithium one its the best of them three (in my opinion) because of it's battery life and great stability.
If you want a great rom to put inside your atrix 2 i recommend Lithium with the beats audio drivers mod found on this forum.
Beats Audio:
It's in his develoment state but with this mod flashed in our Rom' we can get awesome results for listening to music.
Beats Audio its a flashable zip file that can be flashed with cwm.
You can find allthis files mentioned above in this forum:
1.Lithium rom can be found in develoment secion in Motorola Atrix 2 forums.
2.Beats Audio can be found by typing in the search bar Beats Audio.
All credits to its current developers.
HOPE ILL HELP ALL THOSE MUSIC LOVERS OUT THERE..

I have been testing it for i while now, yes i have tried the standard effects for now (my opinion is) that the bass effect in its standard Bass sound effect makes the playing music to much noisy (depending of what type of music) but in all it's very good.
I agree that Beats Audio does a pretty good job in destroying music quality. It's more a novelty, than an improvement to sound. Just my two cents worth... but Lithium is an awesome rom. Definitely one of my favorites!
Yes' beats audio is an alternative to those that like to listen to music in a loud state' in other ways.
Yes i agree with you that lithium is a great rom and one of ny favorites too. Glad to hear that.
