CWM 6.0.2.3 - Acer Iconia A700 and A510

Has anyone used this recovery? It is available at the CWM website http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager for the a700.
The reason i'm asking is i am wondering if it can recover from doing a downgrade of JB 4.2.
CWM 6.0.1.5 could not find the clockworkmod folder. I had to flash a rom (iconiaN) , then copy the CWM folder back to the / level, then reenter recovery to restore to my 4.1 setup.
I could not do the copy of the folder from in 4.2 nightly . it was way laggy and would fail copying this very large folder!

I'm using it for a week or so, i've not encountered any problems. But i also don't found any pros for using it. I did recover trough it and installed 4.1 factory OS after a fatal error (also 4.1).
My experience when folders are not found sd is not mounted, just mount the sd in CWM solves it.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think it has anything to do with mounting the sd card. It is because 4.2 creates the 0 folder for the multi users and moved the clockworkmod folder there. Therefore CWM could not locate the recovery folder. In CWM 6.0.1.5 the only option to search for the recovery folder is if it is on the external sd card. I am wondering if 6.0.2.3 has the ability to search the internal drive.
Like I mentioned before, I could not copy/move the folder because jb 4.2.1 nightly was really buggy. All file apps would crash part way through.

[Q] Rom manager help

Where does rom manager look for backup and restore info. I have my " external " folder that is my true micro sd card. My backups show up when I reboot into recovery but wont show in rom manager.
Ive also notice a new folder named "ext_sdcard" there is nothing in this folder and im not sure where it came from. Is this from the latest rom manager update?

What version of ClockworkMod Recovery have you updated to? Is it solarnz's 3.2.0.0 (from development section) or did you update through Rom Manager, and get a version 4.0.0.X ? I posted a warning about that 2nd one, but it disappeared from the current page. Anyway, if you have that one installed, it doesn't read your external sdcard at all, and not only creates your nandroid on the internal SD, but it also makes it impossible to flash any zips from your sdcard through CWR. I had to use adb and fastboot to reinstall a good recovery, namely solarnz's 3.2.0.0.

Yes the 5.5.0.4 and 5.8.1.8 flash file from the internal storage.
It work great, just keep in mind NOT to use something like the Superwipe script
as it will wipe everything from the internal storage, leaving you with nothing to flash and no OS.

Link to or explanation of storage sd0 & sd1

I'm trying to figure out why after downloading any file to my sd it goes into storage/sd0, and when I move the file it appears to move just fine to sd/downloads. However, when I go into TWRP recovery the files are not there. I have been troubleshooting this all morning and afternoon and it appears as though since flashing bb7 when it first dropped and then two days ago I flashed CROMI and now I'm apparently stuck here. Any help is appreciated.

It's because you updated to a 4.2.1 rom and then downgraded to 4.1.1 again.
Unfortunately 4.2.1 reorganised your internal sdcard without asking as well as setting some folder links and now they are incompatible with your recovery and android 4.1.1
Best fix is to copy everything some where safe, make sure you have a flashable rom or a Nandroid Backup on external sd, wipe internal from recovery, reflash cromi and then rebuild your file structure manually.
Sorry. The BB7 guys should warn you imo.

Internal SD files Emulated 0

I was on 4.2 went back to 4.1 and restored back to 4.2 which left files on my internal SD. I can see them while in Clockwork back cannot access them any other way. IS their a way besides flashing 4.1 to get those files. I have a couple GB their of zip I want to delete and some pics.
From CWR I install zip from Internal I see folders 0, download, DCIM,an about 8 others.
Thanks

thanks, I was just having this exact same issue, but when flashing via TWRP. I normally have my flashing folder on the root of the SD, but once I flashed a 4.2.1 rom I couldn't find it in TWRP. kind of odd... but there it was in data/media. thanks!
Anyone know how to fix the multiple 0 problem? When I flash a 4.2 it naturally makes at least on 0 sub folder but sometime it gets corrupted and I end up with emulated/0/0 and it messes up the root of my internal sd. As such when I try to use titanium it cant find the files after a transition between asop and tw roms.
I would put all my flashing material on my external SD..and format your internal sd after doing all the standard wiping before a fresh install..

TWRP issues (my zips are not showing up in recovery)

I'm running CleanROM 3.4.4 and it's really cool. I downloaded the zips for battery mod and color mod.
I SOO KNOW they are in my internal SD cause I went and found them with root explorer. 'sd/download' =the zips I downloaded
I also deleted some things I didn't want on my SD download file. I say that 2nd part to say this-
When I go into recovery and it automatically goes into download file for me to pick my zip(s) the two I want are no where to be found and the zips I deleted are still showing up in recovery download folder.
What gives? I can't flash these mods.. bc I can't find them anywhere in any folder I look while in recovery..... I truly think TWRP is not recognizing what I have downloaded or deleted.... Very annoying... Makes me want to install CWM
any thoughts

SERIOUSLY-no one has a clue. I have read everywhere and tried everything. No one had heard of this problem?
Sorry for the outburst!

A clue? I believe the path would be /sdcard/download unless that rom has been updated to 4.2 in which case /sdcard/0/download.
The other possibility you may be using the 4.2 version of twrp on a non 4.2 rom or the other way around. That would mean twrp is looking in /sdcard/0/download when in fact you downloaded to /sdcard/download or the other way around.
Just a clue! These are the first things I would consider.
Don't install CWM!
If you can't understand that mess I typed, I can't. Use the file browser in twrp and look for your files.
You may have to move them where twrp is looking.
Use a file manager(while in OS) and search for the file names of the files twrp shows and move the others there.

I have not had this particular issue but something similar. I have moved, deleted or copied folders/files on internal storage in es file explorer then connected to pc & looked at internal storage on pc and folders/files don't show the changes. They will show, can't remember now but was after a reboot or period of time. Have not seen this in twrp though but I rarely flash from internal. Use a external micro sd if you have one.
