Anyone know of a lock app that disables the ability to move widgets around when you hold the screen?
This is annoying me when I use some scrollable widgets and stop to read the content.
+1 .. this would be a valuable asset to me too.
ADW.Launcher v1.3.6 and up has the feature to Lock your screen items
I searched and didnt find any application for android that could do like windows mobiles Throttle lock.

I would like to have more settings, most of all the ability to add or remove the dots on androids pattern lock. example now it has 3x3 pattern, to change that to 3x4, 4x3, or maybe 5x5, or just anything.
so if there is an app that could do that or someone could make one, I would be so happy!

I would like to use the HTC Sense Toggle Widgets on a HTC phone with an open source home screen replacement. The "Settings" option does not show on the list of widgets
Does anyone have the right settings (componentname etc) that I would need to add to the AppWidgetPicker call from my alternate (ADW) homescreen?

I managed to activate lockscreen widgets by ticking the box at Settings -> Security -> Allow Widgets. I know placed the Chronous widget on the lockscreen but I don't see any calendar entries since the widget is not maximized. I remember on CM there was an option for that. Where can I find it now?
I have just installed the Android 4.4.2 KitKat Resurrection Remix rom.
All working just fine, still getting used to it.
One question?
Only two options of weather apps available for the Lock Screen.
Yahoo and openweathermap
I would like to use the BBC weather map if possible.
Question is it possible and if so how do I show it.

I have the BBC app / widget on but cannot find any way to add it to the lock screen.
The option to customise lock screen weather gives only the two options I mentioned above.
Update
I found the way to add the weather widget to a side screen from the lock screen but that is not actually what I wanted.
I would like to change the weather widget on the lock screen if possible.

You need to set "Custom widgets" on lockscreen. Then you long press on the actual widget and delete it. Then you can add your preferred widget.

Tried your suggestion and although I have the Custom Widget turned on I am unable to get the option to remove the weather from the lock screen.
I can with this Rom, de-select the weather widget on lock screen in settings to remove it.
Still no way to add my own selection to lock screen.
I can add a new screen to the side of the lock screen but that's not what I wanted.

In lockscreen swipe doen to maximize widget, then you can delete it by longpressing

That did the trick although it doesn't look very good due to the length of our village name.
But it works a treat otherwise.
