[Q] Internal storage empty

Hi all
There seems to a problem in my SGR.. It says SD Card(Internal 3.74 GB) is blank and asks me to format it..
Evidently i used the file browser and it is blank.. I dont have any important data in my SD card(Internal) so i formatted and tried. Still no go??
Tried rebooting, removing battery ..
Havent tried connecting it to PC.. Cause my PC is another nightmare.. Anything else i can do??

I had a similar problem, One application stopped working a part of that application was for the safe removal of sd card, and then for the sd card and internal memory is showing 0, I entered into the application and turn off safe removing of a memory card and everything was ok

Which app is that ??? Am sure there are no apps that I use require removal of sd cards

it's part of go launcher, switch is the name of app, in fact it is widget

I ask that what have u did with phone, before ur storage go blanck what u were doing with ur phone? Have u flashed or done anything unusual with phone?

I wasn't doing anything other than browsing.. Some games..
The issue is solved now.. I took it to my friends place and connected the USB.. All data is lost.. But at least I have a working internal memory..
Thanks for your help guys.. If anyone wanna figure out why this happened.. We can move the thread forward..

he meant that he was normally using his sgr and everything was going fine but suddenly his internal storage gone blank and in explorer apps it was showing 0 size, then he formatted his storage and now everything is going fine. understood?

The thing is.. In storage.. you see the internal storage labeled as SD card right the total size and available size came as unavailable.. Meaning my internal storage just went poof.. Same for internal sd as well.. It's pure stock no Roms no mods.. Not even rooted

SD card showing full..pls help

hi guys, need help.. i just formatted my card using my phone..now if i transfer any application to SD card it shows "your SD card is full"..

Re-format it using a PC/laptop.
It should solve the problem and don't format it using the NTFS system.

Insert the card in a card reader and attach it to a PC.
- Does the PC recognize the memory card?
- Can you copy a file to your external sd card using a PC?
- Does the card work in any other device that you have?

No Bro, I have ordered 16GB SANDISK CLASS 6 Memory card. Just copied all data to memory card (which was in my previous card), & I formated my Internal SD CARD(4GB space of GALAXY R), now I can copy data in both storage device & can listen songs & do everything but when trying to move existing application in SD card it shows "your SD card is full"..pls help

okkay.. then I know the problem
My ROM uses modified vold.fstab
check the original post for v2 in the development section
download the stock vold.fstab from there and then flash via CWM

Go to the sd swap thread and download the vold from the last link on the first post. That has the memories swapped and allows movement of apps to and from sd card.

Check if it is mounting on your computer when you connect your phone. If so, just format it and then try it on your phone.

Well,i just connect phone with pc and instead of showing internal sd card it appears as Removeable Disk and i right clicked on it....there is a option to format and I format it and after few seconds it appears as internal sd card...by doing this my internal sd card mounts again....

yes this is your idea but i also research alot on net also....when we connect phone to pc internal sd card is not mounting it appears as removeable disk.......but thanksssssssssss aaaa lottt......

Right well done.. Some times the sd cards do appear as Removable Devices..

Guys Guys Please Help {Big Trouble}

Developers once again Thanks for Developing 4.2 For Our Device.
I Am Not At All Blaming ROM Developer It Could Be My Mistake Also But Don't Ignore Guys Read And Try To Solve My Mighty Trouble.
One Help Needed I Flashed raven ROM by Ak****Banta sir on 5th Nov Whole Day Rom Perfomance Was nice with Andiroxu's latest kernel and Suvi Booster Script, At Night When WiFi Speeds were at best I Kept on download 2 things that were the movie and 1 ROM and next day's morning there was a message in my notification bar that SD Card Removed Insert A New one, I Was In Tension Whats It after that I Removed SD Card Reinserted It But Same Result I Flashed Other ROM After That But My SD Card Wasn't Detected I tried with my computer with several memory card readers but same result Memory Card Was neither detected by my PC nor phone
Please help guys the card was of 32 GB Please And I Have Almost My Stuff In That Card Only. Please Help.
Help would be really appreciated I will be really thankful and grateful to anyone who helps please please please help

I had a similar problem with SD long days back. Problem was my SD card was corrupted but it was detected in system not on phone. And also it would never format tried with LINUX, Windows XP, 8 even though it would show successfully formatted on PC. Fortunately data was readable. I backed up and got a new Class-10 based 16GB SD card.
For your problem you may try following
1. With your phone connected to PC. Goto Recovery-->Mount and Storage--> try USB Mount and see whether card shows up on PC. If yes, backup data and format your card and restore your data.
2. If above failed, try same with Card Reader. For formatting you try SD Formatter or HP USB disk storage formatting tool.
If nothing worked probably your card could be corrupted OR wait for some other to answer with their experience.

i had the same problem it was not detected by my pc too

Sorry to say this, but I think you Memory Card is corrupted! If it is not getting detected by windows using a SD Card reader, I would suggest you try using a linux machine to read it and then Format it.. Otherwise download a third party formatting tool for Windows and try that..

[sOLVED] XPERIA L C2104 hangs after 1-2 minutes of boot.

Hi!! I tried everything, flashed stock firmware which worked for me every time. But now the phone just hangs after a minute of boot. I can see status bar and nav buttons but its black screen in main screen. I am unable to turn on developer tools because of this so can't even root phone or anything. Please help.
I used 'root external 2 internal sd' application from playstore earlier which caused the phone to not boot at all. So I flashed stock firmware. And now this problem
The application showed 16 GB internal and 16 GB external when I tried it.

I just tried to quickly go and check storage. It says 0 in internal storage and nothing as external. Can it be because of this?? Any fix? :/

May be your partitions are not read properly or they have become corrupt
. Do you flash the full ftf along with the wipe data option turned on ?
If not then do try this.

yes i flashed full ftf with both wipes checked.
today i removed my sd card and mobile worked fine after that. i used sd card via card reader and its fine, not corrupt. put it back in mobile and again the same problem of mobile hanging and going black. it shows 0 gb internal when i put sd card.
is there any fix to this or fixing partitions coding inside mobile?

Format your sd card using your phone. Search Google play for a good app to format and format your external sd card as fat32.

Format again
if the problem is still therr then do the following
Put your external card in card reader and connect to your windows pc.
download hdd low level format and format the card. Make sure you DO NOT use the quick format option.
