[ROM UPDATE] OTA_Ace_Sense30_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.13.707.4-2.50.707.4_release_2312799

Got it from one of my chinese friends.
I was trying it on the 3.12x ROM and it failed. At the moment I don't know exactly which is the base version but I guess within this thread there will come an solution for this question.

Download & check. It's almost patches inside. And I guess the base is 2.50.707 for it. But at the moment I have no chance to test. Will take 2 or 3 hours until I'm home again.

why don't u extract the rom and simply work on it?

this rom is the 2.50.707.4 CL91002 release-keys (from version.txt)

Because you need this ROM:
htc_asia_wwe/htc_ace/ace:2.3.5/GRJ90/228204.4:user/release-keys
or
htc_asia_wwe/htc_ace/ace:2.3.3/GRI40/83346.4:user/release-keys
as base for this update.
And currently I have no clue which ROM is required for this update. Again, this it not a real ROM. This is just the UPDATE for an ROM.

got your point now....my suggestion is to let this update go..it's just another sense 3 and also a branded one...every sense 3.5 is better than this..

hello i already download this OTA update from pc and my current firmware is 2.50.707.4 desire hd asia version and I'm sure this ota update for desire hd asia but how to install this ota update because i not download this from my phone...... sorry for my bad english...... Thanks

Rename this file to "update.zip" store it on your SDCard and go to recovery.
btw, Do you have the 2.50.707 ROM as file available and can you provide it for download???

I think they (ppl in asia) got it as an OTA update (as early as 3rd of September 2011).

No it originally Ruu desire hd 2.37.707.3 and get ota update to 2.50.707.4 and get ota update again with 3.13.707.4....... if you want you can try this

Also you need to set your CID to HTC__044 before you can use the RUU

i have got a camera apk from a different rom and tried to install it on the cyanogen mod rom ...but it dose not install.ive tried puting it in the /system/app and it still dose not work.......is there a way to install it

Depends on where u got the apk from. If u got it from a sense rom then it wont work on CM rom or AOSP/AOKP roms etc etc. Also what android version did u get the apk from and what version ur trying to install it on.

with the JB rom im afraid ul just have to try a few from the playstore or maybe from another 4.2.2/4.1.2 rom but id say they r all the same so playstore would be ur best bet.

no upgrades, so not getting one personally
but the viperONE guys and some other venom devs will be getting the intl version and most likely patch in verizon support, so you guys should be good

To pool boot.img you need to be unlocked with custom recovery or root access.
adb shell
cat /proc/emmc
look for "boot" partition (could be mmcblk0p42)
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p42 of=/data/media/0/boot.img
exit

You can't unlock the bootlader?

Were lucky yesterday with my 401, as I got an ota, allowed me to get boot.img immediately, was it the same for you? Might be worth catching someone before you update so you can get those same files.

Then it's quite impossible to get boot.img from inside the device. You need to haunt for OTA.

maximus is basically the stock htc sense 5 android 4.2.2 rom we never officially got, i included performance and battery tweaks from my cm11s rom, think of this rom as the Android Revolution HD rom for the One S, smooth, stock, stable and great battery life

been trying to install this but i keep getting an error when installing in the recovery.

tried both mirrors with the same problem.

i can assure you that its 444mb, i slimmed it down a bit. anyway look at the file size for both links

i found that twrp 2.8 causes problems for non-kitkat roms, try the twrp that came with maximus hd or twrp 2.7.x.x

I'm on HBoot 2.16 and I tried 2.7.0.1b (i think) and the 2.8.0.1 from the first post and both had the same error.
Just tried twrp 2.6.1.0 from the maximus install and still the same error. is it just something simple on my end?
would love to try it out .

unzip the META-INF.zip thats attached, delete the META-INF folder from the ROM and place the unzipped META-INF you just downloaded and place it in the zip.
It will give you aroma installer but look here
DONT USE THE OPTION TO WIPE THE USERDATA PARTITION
DONT INSTALL ANY APPS WHEN YOU ARE PROMPTED, IF SOME ARE SELECTED THEN UN-SELECT THEM
DONT INSTALL ANY MODS LIKE DESENSE, IF THEY ARE SELECTED THEN UN-SELECT THEM
