[Q] Problem with Pinch to Zoom in Browser - General Questions and Answers

I own a galaxy S3 and hopefully someone can figure this out.
When I pinch to zoom (in or out) on stock or Dolphin Browser, it skips a large frame and zooms in instantly at the first contact of 2 fingers at a small movement.
If i leave my 2 fingers on the screen to zoom in and out, it runs smoothly.
I found this out when I flashed Cleanrom.
I also have a problem with Jelly 'Beans' build 7 rom.
I never had a problem with other roms (LiquidSmooth and Eclipse) and pinch to zoom works fine when I return back to those roms.
I did clean install, wipe data, cache, and dalkavi.
I also reinstalled Cleanrom and it's still there.
Pinch to zoom in pdf documents works smoothly. Not sure what's wrong
Here is a video

This is after I flashed the Stock Jelly Bean Factory image with Odin.
Please help.

When I factory restored to ICS with Odin, the pinch to zoom works perfectly, after receiving the OTA to Jelly Bean, the screen jumps occur again...
any idea what's wrong?

Nobody knows what's wrong with my phone?

Pinch to zoom worked flawlessly with ice cream sandwich.
Ever since the jelly bean 4.1.1 update pinch to zoom doesn't work properly.
When you look around the screen with one finger, then lay down the second finger to pick a spot to zoom in, The screen jumps back to where the first finger is, then zooms into that wrong spot. Very annoying.
No idea what it could be.

Rotation issue

I switched roms to cog 4 and I didnt notice anything weird and then a few hours later I noticed that my auto rotate was not working. when I say not working I mean relly not working, when I open any app it will only open in landscape mode and the home screen is only viewable in portrait mode.
I have flashed back to stock, done a master clear, reflashed cog 4. I am at a loss now. Any help would really be appreciated.
I don't know if it will work for you, but......go to settings; display; scroll down to horizontal calibration and lay your phone on its back....follow directions.....and hopefully all is better.
I definitely was overthinking the problem and getting NO help from those in the know. I UTFSE (nice acronym) for hours and assumed that one of the ROMs had an I9000 kernel and corrupted the accelerometer.
I was probably too tired from nicely suggested (UsingTheF......SearchEngine) and assumed horizontal was from Upright Y axis, X side axis, but not Z (face up).
My own fault and probably one of the reasons no one chose to answer my requests.
Holy hell I must have tried this 5 times before I wiped and then loaded a new rom. everytime I did it it would callibrate it was just stuck dead in the center. I did it now and it worked.
Thank you for getting me to retry the simple things (now I seem like a moron, but I swear I really did try it haha)

Infuse camera quality after root

I rooted my infuse and installed the infused 2.1 rom on Sunday. Everything was great (aside from random reboots about twice a day) until I tried to take a picture of some text on my laptop. I do this all the time with no problem but since rooting and being infused my camera can not clearly show any text whether it be on a sheet of paper, label, tv, or laptop and the focus doesnt help/work. I went back to stock rom with root access and tried and when i hit focus the text was readable for a split second then right back blurry.
Can anyone help with this? I've went back to the infused rom (1.6 hoping for more stability) and the camera still doesn't pick up any form of text clearly or readable for that matter. Any input is appreciated, and I wanna thank you all for the valuable info I've found on this site.
have you tried setting the focus mode to "macro" ?
->Camera
-->Settings
--->Focus mode
---->Macro
Sorry about the late response but that didn't help either.
Also I just used the front facing camera and the text came out crystal clear, switched back to the rear camera and it was unreadable.
Clean the lens.
Cranky...

Screen tearing in launcher on ics ota?

I'm on t mobile nexus with the ota 4.0.3 update running. My install process was wipe, install 2.3.6, wipe, install the ota from one of the guides on xda, reflash recovery, flash su app. I keep getting screen tearing at the bottom of my launcher, and whenever a part of the screen is supposed to get dim (eg when a popup window comes onscreen) the fade animation acts really weird (it will kind of flash/distort). Any advice? Is this a common occurrence? Should I reflash from stock or would flashing a kernel later on solve this? I kind of don't want to have to reconfigure everything again.
Made a youtube video of the problem:
The launcher will (seemingly at random) get really choppy and start to tear at the bottom of the screen. I know it's hard to make out in the video (I couldn't get my camera to focus properly) but it is tearing. It's easiest to see between 0:05 and 0:10.

I can't be the only one to have noticed this. I see it on both my and my friend's nexus s's.
At least you're getting it in certain situations only. I get screen tearing in the lower left corner of the display in every app that uses hardware acceleration.
Using an I9023 running stock 4.0.3.
Ivenoticed.

[Q] JB Video camcorder zoom problem

Hello all, I am having a problem with the video camera on my phone. When taking video in "normal" mode it looks like it is way zoomed in, "Limit for SMS" mode has proper zoom as does regular camera. Is this normal? I cant get anyone into the frame in "normal" camcorder mode unless im 10 feet away. I have tried 2 different roms JB 4.1.1 and now Embryo 6.8 and its the same in either rom. Thanks in advance for any help.
