Just wondering if there is a fix to the sideways pictures in the messaging app and where I could find one. It'd be nice if it was inverted (blacked out) and supported emoji's and quick reply.
All else fails, how could i modify my current mms.apk to have my vertical pictures display correctly?
Thanks in advance!
its a current bug my friend. As for the rest, cm10 MMS does all that
So what you're saying is there is currently not a fix? No one has tried?

Hope you have success with that. I ported the mms and email from darchvanilla to my sense roms and all was well the first day or so, then mms/sms stopped working....I couldn't type anything.
I too am a big fan of those clients, but I had to forego them and use the default ones on sense
....and to your question, I am sorry I do not know the answer.
hmm, hopefully I don't have any problems. I've had it about a week, if I have to go back I'll be bummed. So far so good though, on fresh 2.0d. I've seen other people on here doing that also though, someone gave me the idea a while back.
I've been using aosp mms for the last couple of days and I mostly like it but it doesn't read my contact in the conversation thread and it doesn't seem to size right inside the messaging thread. So I'm hoping someone has a flashable zip of the original HTC sense mms apk ? I'm running freshes latest Rom if that matters .
just adb push the Mms.apk to system/app
I cannot get the stuff to and push to install on ny computer

I'm not sure if that'll work since it's tied to Rosie. However, I do recommend Handcent SMS. It has iPhone-style bubbles and other themes and has a quick reply popup that will come up in any app you're in. I too found the stock Messaging app lacking but this made it much better.
If you do decide to use this app, be sure to turn off notifications in the stock app or you'll get two notifications for each message you get.

Thanks for the advice. I used handcent for a long time on my g1 and it was alright except for a few bugs . I may consider it in the end

Looked around the forum here a bit and didn't quite find what I was looking for so I thought I would ask if anyone knew of a Sense 4.x style SMS/MMS app?
I took a look at Handcent and GoSMS, but none of those (or at least from what I could find from the various themes) had a layout/look/feel that the Sense SMS/MMS app has.
I think the JB SMS/MMS looks the closest but the JB SMS app on the market place doesn't work (MMS is broke along with notifications) and I think I recall seeing an actual JB SMS APK floating around, but am not sure how stable it is.
Any suggestions?

Bump in case anyone knows of a working JB MMS APK, or a MMS theme that looks like Sense 4.x
So as some of you know, the quality of MMS pictures are pretty low and distorted when using the AOSP messaging on Synergy, or any other TW ROM I am assuming.
I have been looking all over for the fix...but I cannot pinpoint which one is the right one or even if it will work on this ROM.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

The MMS look bad because they have been set to be heavily compressed by the app's settings. Esch has stated that he doesn't work on the ported AOSP apps in the ROM.
So if you want to get higher res MMS you can do one of the following:
- decompile the apk, adjust the res in the settings.xml, recompile, and manually install
- install one of the the themed AOSP MMS apps for touchwiz in the themes&apps section that has been modified to have a higher res.
i'm personally using this one that allows 990k size MMS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095243
- install a 3rd party app like go-sms which allows you to control MMS size

Thanks for your response and for the link! I will look into it and post what I come up with.
I'm sure most of you know that installing the AOSP MMS application through HyperDrive as your messaging program doesn't result in good quality MMS photos and etc. It loses resolution when sent. I knew of a few fixes for it, but I was curious as to how others have gone along with this problem (if you have installed the AOSP messaging app.)
The reason I want AOSP so badly is because of group messaging.
Thanks in advance!
