Hi, I switched from Galaxy Note (running Android 2.3.3) to Note 2. When I was using Galaxy Note, I sometimes used Keis from Samsung. When I got the Note 2 and connected it to my Mac (running Mountain Lion) for charging, I often saw a message on my phone that Android File Transfer is required for file transfer between the Mac and the device. I installed Android File Transfer. However, I always get the message on my Mac that the device cannot be connected. Even I rebooted the Note 2 does not help. I also noticed that after installing this program, my Mac hangs for a few seconds sometime. e.g. unable to see the cursor after waiting up from sleep, sluggish performance, etc. Anybody knows how to fix the issues? What is the difference between Keis and Android File Transfer? Is Android File Transfer necessarily for Note 2 running Jelly Bean? Thanks.
Try download drivers or kies

Somehow managed to delete the stock android 3.1 wpa_supplicant, so now I have no wifi.
Could someone please provide a copy 3.1 please. This is for a samsung galaxytab 10.1
Thanks. I feel dumb...
+1 I deleted it while trying to get ad-hoc working with the alternate supplicant.
Installing that one left me in the mode of failing to start wifi.
Now just need to go back!

Everytime I plug my Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P5100 into my computer it fails to install the MTP drivers
I disabled Windows Media Features and Internet Explorer in Windows Components. However, I am unable to re-enable them as the Media Features tabs are no longer listed.
Does anyone have any work-arounds, or know of a way to go about getting the drivers installed?
I am using Windows 7, x64 operating system.
Samsung Kies.

I wish to pose the following questions from the point of view of my Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus.
-I have successfully had the WiFi connection going to my wireless modem. Without using
the hard usb cable, how may I browse and copy files between this Android phone
and a Windows 7, TCP/IP network via the WIFI connection? Neither my phone's file browser
or windows successfully detects the other.
-Does my Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus come with any form of default firewall, or antivirus?
Does it even need one?
-Do I have a jre installed by default that is Micro Edition compatible? If I don't have a
java runtime installed, which particular version should I download and copy across?
Will it support execution of compatible .jar files?
I am connecting my S6 to Mac but the phone does not shows any USB options but only charges the phone. Android File Transfer also doesn't recognises the phone. I am using the original cable, have factory reseted many times and also wiped cache partition. What could be wrong? Software issue or hardware issue? Please any tips...Thanks.
Me too... Same issue... Anyone with a clue?
Try downloading Smartswitch for Mac. It's the official Samsung software to work between PC/Mac to a Samsung Android. If you already have these installed Android file transfer won't work. They don't play well with each other.

I am not even getting "Connected as media device" notification but only charging notification when I connect it via USB.
You can browse your file system with SideSync.

every time I send a file from my mobile to my computer it fails with stating (connection unsuccesful)
every time I send a file from my computer to my mobile ubuntu states experienced an internal error and gives me 2 options send the error report or ignore it - I tried to send file from my computer to my mobile once via bluetooth setting and once via bluetooth manager but both fail with the same error.
Can anyone help me fix this problem, please?
Thanks
Hi !
Both operating systems may be the culprit
The only options you have are
1- get a log from your phone and send it to your rom developer , he can figure out if there`s something rom with the bluetooth in his rom
2- try to pair and transfer files using other devices , this way you`ll know if your computer or your phone have a problem
Good luck !
