finally i'm here with TOUCH based TWRP recovery for our LAVA Iris 501...
Actually its ported from Lewa based MTK device.... Everything is working....
What is TWRP recovery ??

Woow, how to install ??
* Download zip
* extract it to root of your SDcard
* Install Mobile Uncle Tool (its inside zip)
* open > Update Recovery > Choose recovery_TWRP_by_akash.img
* Reboot when prompted
Whats next : I will Update recovery to latest version soon...

Yes, It will work. I already tested with Lava Iris 501 Jellybean 4.1.1

Mainly recovery doest depend on system so non matter whatever ROM or firmwere you are using it doesn't affect....

as fas as i know you cant flash one firmware recovery to another( Gb to ics or JB) specially on samsung phones. coz their kernal confined with it.

but ICS Recovery works flawlessly in JB lava iris.... may be its depend on device....

I m using this rom from last one month....
Rom is very stable....
Dolby Digital software included in this rom....
Swype keyboard included in rom....

Better than xolo rom
One more thing don't flash this rom if you want to install custom rom based on xolo rom

i want to see size of internal storage phone stoarge and sd card
Also download d-h.st/ZQW
this is builded boot.img from source codes
just flash it with sptools and see if it boots.

Instructions:
1] Download the Rom file from the link provided (Same for both A77 and A177)
2] Place it in the root of your SD card
3] Go to CWM or any other custom recovery (not stock one)
4] Wipe Data/Factory Reset
5] Wipe Dalvilk cache
6] Select "Install .zip from SD card" and select the file
7] Select "YES"
8] It will automatically REBOOT (It will take 2-3 minutes to boot so don't worry)

I rooted it and tried flashing Philz recovery using Flashify but it failed multiple times. My P480 runs on Android 5.0.1 Please help me!!

It said that any device woth mt6582 android 4.4.x and kernel 3.4.67 can flash this rom.. Our device has these requirements.. So please verify.. If we can flash this rom

we want a custom recovery for this device

I'm using Micromax p480 tab and as soon as I press the power button the device tends to start and is stuck on "Powered by Android". I tried accessing recovery mode by pressing Volume up+ power button but as soon as I select the recovery option the device again shows the same behavior as usual. I tried flashing up the tab using SP flash tool(Stock ROM) but the tab isn't getting connected. As soon as I plug the cable, the tab tends to charge(which is also not charging up).

Instructions:
Backup your currect rom incase if something went wrong..
Boot to TWRP and wipe factory reset..

This rom is only for non 4G variant

Yes mine is 3g variant...but still sim card not detected

Dude,
U need to flash stock rom's secro.img
This happened because ur device's IMEI is either corrupted or wiped
Fixes :----->
1. Flash secro.img of stock rom OR
2. Only If stock rom installed , install mtk engineering mode apk and then repair IMEI
