Having a problem with the sensation .
First of all i have the phone for about 4 days it has android 2.3.3 htc sense 3.0 software number 1.28.401.1 and i have the fallowing problem .
Some time the phone looses all speaker sound , the phone doesn't ring , nothing that uses the speaker is working , youtube clips are not loading anymore , if i play a video the aplication is not working .
I have found that after restarting the phone the speaker works fine , and all the aplications are working again . Last time i had this problem i was playing with the Tom the taking cat aplication , i have just install it it worked for a while , but after restarting the aplication again made the phone soundless .
First time i do not remember what aplication i was running .
I must say that the phone has only a couple applications installed like angry birds , chess , 3g watch dog , some google apps, astro file manager , it seems that there are no crashes with this aplications
Is this a phone problem ? Is a Android problem ? Is this a HTC (Sense UI) problem ?
A friend told me that qould be a problem with the sound driver , and that is why other aplications are crushing because they can't acces it , he told me that is a problem with the hardware because it could be not 100 % compatible with older aplications because HTC didn't do a verry good job writing the sound driver.
Has anyone experienced this problem , any other ideeas on the problem in hand

this is a common bug for the Sensation. Easiest way to get the volume working again is to call your voicemail.

Are you able to flash back to 1.28.401.1? When Arabic langauge is released maybe we should flash from 1.28.401.1 only.

I have this strange issue: if I'm using the phone normaly with data conection, wifi always on etc, when the screen is off and the phone is in deep sleep in consums like a 1-5 mA ( 10 min scale). The problem cames when I use google maps GPS navigation, after I turn the apk off , turn the gps off etc, it consumes in stand by/deepsleep, 30-40mA ... if reboot the phone returns to normaly 1-5mA ,,, how can I fix this thing because I don't whant to restart my phone after every time I use navigation.

This seems to be a bug for some 4.3 and early 4.4.2 users. Please refer to my other postings on this forum where I explain that the recently released 4.4.2 (175.44.1.en-DE) system version fixes the problem. (posting is called: "Just got OTA 4.4.2 (was 4.3): seems to have fixed it")

I have this strange problem which has happened recently :
in normal situation my Internet only works with browser (firefox) and not any other app like markets or Duolingo . But , when I use DroidVPN it starts to work with other apps as well . I suspect Google setting and Google market . I have uninstalled both of them because of some problems that they have . recently when I reinstalled them , this problem appeared . ( But I'm not sure , cause I think a while after installation it was working . ) by the way I am using my home wireless . my background data is on . I need my Internet back without any VPN app and I DON'T want any factory reset or any kind of reset and those stuff . I've read all other similar question and answers . non helps ! can you help me ? PLEASE ? any help would be appreciated !
p.s. I'm using the wireless with my laptop to . and every thing is ok with it .

could you please report if those major bugs listed bellow are finally fixed?
is it rootable? if yes, how?
- no OTA update
- losing user language preference (simcard default language is used instead)
- losing connectivity (cannot make/receive calls)
- iris / pattern unlock crash/reboot
- random reboot
- screen calibration issue (not responding sometimes and it cannot be fixed with calibration apps from Google store)
- blurry pictures (slow focus and shutter speed)
- bad audio quality (over saturated)
- clean of malwares and chinese apps
Hardware features that were announced but never won't be available (fake advertising / SCAM):
- 5Ghz Wi-Fi compatibily
- NFC
- OTG
*** UPDATE ***
Ok folks... I removed the simcard and also the battery few seconds and flashed latest firmware with sp_flash_tool (firmware mode not download mode) and lost everything (all apps / data) but there is a good news... smartphone doesn't lose language preference anymore!
unfortunately smartphone is still losing connectivity and network (cannot make/receive calls even if there is network signal !)
(I thought it was solved too because it has worked almost half a day but actually i've still got this issue!)
so HomTom HT10 is still a useless 'smart' brick...
And HomTom is doing the same than UMI: banning from their Facebook page users reporting bugs or false avertising (OTG/NFC/Wi-Fi 5Ghz/full bands support/...).

I am no super user of phones but this one is working very good only the sound when doing the iris thing is annoying.

Mine is the same it's just their typo error. When extracted it's 20170225

I'm looking for an English (or global) custom ROM for this device running Android 6.x or 7.x
MoKee, GizROM, LineageOS 13/14/15. Any ROM 100% working.
I bought one of these a while back and using it on the T-Mobile network for over 8 months. I also have not had any trouble that you stated above such as loosing connectivity or the iris scan crashing. I do agree that it would be nice if you could turn off the iris scan noise though. Love this phone and glad I took a chance when ordering it.
I may have found this thread a little late, but here I am. I have the Homtom HT10 running the firmware Android-6.0-V01-20161202 and I was able to root the device using Kingo Root. It's been a while, but I think there were some additional steps to go through before this root worked. My question is if anyone here has had success in rooting one of the newer firmwares, since I'm not sure if this root would survive the firmware update and I wouldn't want to lose root access.
Also, does anyone know how to replace the Kingo Superuser app with Chainfire's version?
mine was working good, i rooted , and install magisk and after a while i loose connectivity when make calls..i flash full firmware..format and all the stuff and still cannot make callss

I've flashed HOMTOM-HT10-Android6.0-V01-20170622 and so far all works pretty good (it keeps the language)...
Only audio EQ quality is poor (distorsion) and volume / quality issue in phone calls.
Not sure yet if OS is able to switch properly from a deficient 4G network to 3G/2G (because i'm currently using forced 3G mode in settings) but it seems to work better than previously.

maybe u need to press volume up or down..or both i dont remember dont have any more...but that should work...or maybe press power and both volume buttons...

I used a different version of flash tool and it started when I put the battery in. There's so many versions of flash tool I guess. But I got it working.

My HT10 (got it a month ago) GPS not working

My HT10 GPS in to working. The phone is new, I just got it, and it literally only has viber and Here maps on.
The GPS tested today, not working.
Under a sky with no clouds in the middle of a field with no obstructing buildings and no signal whatsoever.

I am french and I live in Ireland.
I have same problem with my Homtom HT10. My smartphone is still losing connectivity and network (cannot make/receive calls even if there is network signal !). I indicated the problem to Homtom who asked me to update Firmware but it did not improve the problem. Homtom suggests me sending back the smartphone for repair but postal charges are very expensive for China.
No solution... I have to restart my Homtom all days if I want to send a SMS or make a phone call.
Perhaps a problem with the SIM Card ?
I got mine since 4 months ago.
Probably the worst android I ever got.
It is fast ok and charge is really quick but its always losing connection. Its more like a photo camera and mp3 than phone.
The other stupid thing is that can connect Wifi 5Ghz and the 2.4 is really slow.

I got myself the Oukitel WP 5000 - i work a lot outside and i need something strong and heavy that does not break so fast.
This thing is exactly what i want but after 3 month it developed a problem - one morning it did not connect to w lan nor pay-internet
anymore . Both indicators show an exclamation mark. I got it fixed by resetting the entire phone but to make it run like before took me half a day.
A few weeks later i had the same problem again and only the total reset helped but i am loosing a lot of time doing that.
Now its the 3rd time that i cant connect anymore to w lan and also not to pay internet.
The funny thing is that WhatsUp works - and i can acces my cameras and move them - so there is some sort of connection but i dont get anything when i
use Mozilla or Opera.
The rooter is ok - all other connected things work just fine.
There must be some problem with Android i cant find - i posted the same question in a german forum but got no answer.
Android version is 7.1.1. original (everything is original on this phone)

Since nobody has an answer for me maybe you can help me avoiding this problem.
Is there a way i can store my "entire" phone lets say on my PC and when my phone goes on the blink
again i just copy it back from my PC and i am on the road again.
Is there a program that can do that ?
Re-installing Numbers, names, app´s, passwords, alexa stuff and many other things by hand take such a long time.
