[Q] No Service since new battery put on charge - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

I have galaxy sl, android 2.3.6.
I have bought the new battery and it was working perfectly till I put on recharge. Immediately after I put it for charge, it is showing "No Service" It does not receive any network coverage; simple shows "No Service"
When I choose "WCDMA Only" it gives "Emergency Calls only" and turns to "No Service" when reverted to GSM or Auto mode.
Everything else is working fine.
Any solutions to this?

Click to collapse
And that was weird. Have you tried putting your old battery?

Emergency calls only and other related network issues on new android device

I've had this samsung galaxy ace s5830i (my first android) for 4 of the most frustrating months now.
The problem first started with the phone being stuck on EDGE regardless of signal strength. I tried flashing it with new roms but had zero success. I tried manipulating the menu under *#197328640# but that led to a dead end as well. Every time I tried to select WCDMA only, the network bar changes to a "circle and cross" type of thing. I tried to dial *#7465625# to check for network locks but everything reads off i.e. no locks of any kind. Finally, I tried to select a new radio band by dialing *#4636# but that operation crashes a "com.android.phone" everytime.
So in summation, service mode changes don't help and flashing the rom doesn't help.
Recently, I to switched one of the strongest networks available (other than the one I'm on) but the phone is stuck on "emergency calls only" mode. When I try a manual network search and select the network to which the SIM card belongs, I get and error telling me that the SIM card can't register onto the network.
I have used these SIM cards on nokia phones and other samsung galaxy ace devices and have experienced none of the problems listed above, even in remote areas. The support guys of my network say nothing is wrong with my account.
So there you have it. Is there anything left that I can try?

[Q] After CM11 phone switched from GSM to CDMA?

Hello, yesterday I rooted my N5 and installed CM11 stable. After a few hours I started getting no service, so I tried rebooting it.
Nothing, still no service.
Then I thought to myself "F this, I'm going back to stock". Flashed the stock image (ktu84p) and set up my phone.
"searching for service".
I noticed that there's written CDMA in the mobile options and so I turned it off and reinserted SIM. Booted up, "Searching for service". The menu shows no option to select a mobile network. It only states that there are CDMA options.
Later I found out that my "about phone" page states something about MIN number, which wasn't there before.
Sounds like my phone switched to CDMA? How do I revert this? Tried flashing it twice, but no luck. What do I do?
SOLVED
SOLVED! For anybody else with "Searching for service" Nexus 5 problem: (worded it this way for Google search engine)
1. Dial *#*#4636#*#*
2. Go to "Phone information"
3. Scroll down to "Set preferred network type:"
4. Select "LTE/GSM auto (PRL)" or whatever you want

Cannot "Search Network" for the right carrier (SIM-card) while roaming.

I am from India and travel between two cities every month. For City-A I use "Vodafone" and for City-B I use "Airtel". My Google Nexus has the latest OTA updates but the moment I leave the Home network, the phone goes into "Emergency call only" mode.
My location being neither Home Network of either of my SIM.
When I "Search Network" I get the following result:
When the Vodaphone SIM is inserted it shows "Airtel IN" , "IN Loop" and other carriers but not "Vodafone IN".
When Airtel SIM is inserted it shows "Vodafone IN" but not "Airtel IN". Wrote to google but got no response. Got new SIM, same result. Really frustating :crying:

My phone said "No Service" or "emergency service only" suddenly.

My phone failed to make any calls and text messages suddenly the day before yesterday.
It said "No Service" or "emergency service only". It was also unable to connect to internet on 4G or 3G.
After restarting several times and moving anywhere, it didn't work yet.
So I went to a customer center of my carrier yesterday. It replaced my SIM card.
Now it resumes and works well till now.
For your reference.

No Service after turning on Mobile Data

I have a network issue with my OnePlus 8T. Whenever I enter an area that doesn't have great signal, if my phone connects to 4G, I completely lose all signal and the phone will read "No Service" or "Emergency Calls Only". The best thing I can do is toggle Airplane mode or restart the phone to fix it. The issue does not occur if I set my phone to 2G/3G only. My phone will have signal absolutely everywhere, there isn't a spot that I know of that doesn't get reception. However, the moment I tap "Mobile Data", if the phone connects to 4G and the signal isn't 50% or better. My phone just loses all network on the spot and refuses to return unless I do the two things I listed above. I've been in contact with my service provider, tried swapping SIM slots and cards, reset my network, verified APN is properly setup. Just about everything by now. Does anybody know of a possible solution to this?
