Poetc Hardback Video+Written Review - Nexus 4 Accessories

$8.95- Poetic Hardback
Design
The Poetic Harback is a poorly designed case. While it does offer a folio feature, the oddly manufactured case clearly lacks in simple everyday situations. As shown in the video review, the camera and speaker slots are flip flopped, resulting in the user switching the side the case is inserted. The folio feature is definitely a plus; however, the rest of the features are certainly lacking.
Protection
The Poetic Hardback definitely doesn't give protection like a rugged case, but it does look like there could be issues with the phone falling out due to the claws holding the phone being quite small. The top cover is adequately padded giving the case some extra protection.
Final Verdict
Overall, the Poetic Hardback doesn't deliver in the two major criteria. Because the case is poorly made and there are so many design errors, the Poetic Hardback receives a final grade of 2/5 stars.

Review of the Rearth Ringke Case
My YouTube review of the Rearth Ringke Case
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wy_-rEPpro
To start with, Rearth is a company that designs and makes cases for various devices. The Rearth Ringke Case is available in a number of colours 12 to be exact and its only $16.99.
The quality of the case is great it’s made from a high quality silicone case with a soft touch finish. It’s much more advanced than standard silicone case, when you hold the case you can feel the difference. The case is very easy to apply and it fits perfect and provides a decent amount of protection.
The Rearth Ringke Case itself doesn’t add that much thickness to the phone, the phone still has its slim profile, as well as this you still have access to all the buttons. The case feels great in the hand, however I did notice if your not holding it tight enough it may slip from you hand, despite this its still a great case and worth the money.
In terms of protection the Rearth Ringke Case does provide a good amount of protection and could with stand a drop from waist height, but bare in mind the screen isn’t protected. Also there is a limited amount of protection it will provide because it’s a silicone case, you won’t get the same amount of protection from Case-mate for example.
Overall I would highly recommend this Rearth Ringke Case it looks great and there are a bunch of different colours you can pick from at a reasonable price. Additionally you have a chance to win this Rearth Ringke Case in a giveaway I am having, the video with details are below.

***Poetic Borderline+Slimbook+Hardback Reviews!!!!***

Poetic Borderline Bumper
$9.95- Poetic Borderline
Design
This bumper gives you a slim minimalistic look. On the edge of the bumper you see a somewhat partly glossy finish and matte grey edges. All ports are easily accessible and the buttons are easy to push in. The bumper goes just over the back of the Nexus 4, but leaves most of the back exposed.
Protection
The main purpose of the Poetic Borderline is to show off the beautiful back of the Nexus 4 at the expense of protection. The bumper as a whole gives one a much grippier phone and should ultimately result in less drops. The bumper has a lip that goes just over the screen; if one's Nexus 4 does fall face first, then the lip should somewhat reduce the impact of the fall.
Final Verdict
The Poetic Borderline is a high quality bumper and a great value for the price. At $9.95, this case is a steal. The case is available in six cool colors: Black/Gray, Blue/Gray, Green/Gray, Purple/Gray, Red/Gray, and Yellow/Gray. If one is interested in a slim profile bumper that gives minimal protection, this is the bumper for you.

Poetic Slimbook
Amazon Link- Poetic Slimbook
The Good
All ports are easily accessible
Magnetic Clasp
A TPU within a cover
Protection is adequate
The case is well made and stitchings are tight
Could insert credit cards and money but adding too much stuff won't work
The Bad
The back of the case isn't magnetic so folding the cover back is uncomfortable
The case is pretty thick
You can't access the volume rockers when the case is closed
Doesn't lay flat
Only available in black
Final Verdict
The Poetic Slimbook is a nice value for $10.95, but far from the best case available. The thickness of this case is an issue for me, but may not be for others. If one is looking for a book style case, this might be one of your best options. The Poetic Slimbook receives a 3.5/5 star review.

[Review] Artech 21 Retro Book Leather Case

This is a compact and really good looking design; I was expecting something much more bulky. With the phone inside, the case is no thicker than my Otterbox Defender (my daily case). The case is obviously made of high quality leather; not cheap, but not Napa leather either. The design is pretty unusual in that it has a TPU case inside, attached to the leather. I like this because it provides good protection - there is more than just leather protecting the phone. There are cutouts for the camera and microphone on the rear, which are well sized and placed, and the case closes by means of a magnetic clasp that is easy to open and close. Part of the rear will fold over, so that the case functions as a stand as well. Everything about the case worked well. The case comes with a carrying strap that can be easily removed if desired.
The interior has a slot for ID and three credit cards. There is a place for money, but it is sized to fit the phone length, and so you will have to fold the bills to fit - I don't think you could carry a "wad" of bills there, but it is OK for light use. The TPU case has cutouts at all the right places, and all buttons worked fine.
The only quality question I have is the TPU attachment to the case. It is not sewn in; I suppose it must be glued to the case. It seems sturdy enough, but if there is a weak link in the design, this is it. However, I suspect that if the glue did come off, it could be re-glued again, and in any case with the phone inside the case it won't ever flex at this spot.
The case is a bit pricy, but in my opinion if you want this sort of design, this is a great choice. When I need a more formal case, this is the one I will use.

Poetic Quarterback case for Amazon Fire 7 (2015)

I received the Poetic Quarterback case today. It can be found at this link http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-QuarterBack-Protection-Replaceable-Black/dp/B019SFU05M. Very nice look to the case, study feel, and looks somewhat industrial with the metal studs on the back. I would feel very comfortable having this case on my tablet in a professional environment such as a workplace or university. I usually have my Poetic Turtle Skin Series case on my Amazon Fire, and that one does offer a bit more protection in my opinion for the tablet, but it is not as pleasing in appearance as the Quarterback case is. Overall I am pleased with the case and it is everything I expected after viewing it online. If you are looking for a sleek professional looking case for the Amazon Fire then this is the case to purchase, and on top of this, the pricing is also quite reasonable. The one complaint I have is that I am worried I will scratch the surface I place the case upon due to the metal studs on the back, and I guess that could be fixed if one could replace them with plastic/rubberized ones.

I want to buy the same Poetic Quarterback Case, but for my Fire 8 (2015):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019...age_23?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1NM6DL7S92CZW&th=1
Poetic - Fire HD 8 Case, Poetic Quarterback [Corner / Bumper Protection] [Replaceable Back] [Dual protection] - Stylish rugged PC + TPU Case for Amazon Fire HD 8 (2015) Black / Black
Although both the 7" and 8" Cases are similars, I would like to know if anyone has bought this Case for the 8" Model, and if this Case is also recommended for the new Amazon Fire 8" tablets.*
Since apparently it could offer more protection, I was also interested in the Poetic Turtle Skin Series case for the Fire 8, but I found it a little big and bulky.
So, I also would like to know if the Poetic Quarterback Case for Fire 8, really looks and feels more professional, and if although is thin and light, will provide good protection for the Fire 8?

I've been using it for about a week now on my Fire 7 (2015) and I really like it. I also did a weighing and the Quarterback case to my surprise is actually lighter than the Turtle case. So I would definitely say you should go for it. Especially since it is only like $11.95. However if you are looking for protection, then you should go for the Turtle case.
Thanks rjmxtech for your quick reply!
As I said before, I am looking for protection, but I think that the turtle case is may be to big and heavy...
I Don't know if it's to much to ask, but could you please post some pictures of both cases, so I can compare the size and shape of these two Poetic Cases?
I am also planning to get a Tempered Glass Screen Protector:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014JA3U1C/ref=ya_st_dp_summary
SPARIN - Fire HD 8 Screen Protector [Tempered Glass], SPARIN® [Bubble-Free] [Repeatable Installation] Glass Screen Protector for NEW - Fire HD 8 (2015 Released)
Do you know if this is good quality, or know of any other brand that could be much better?
Nice Rugged Case, Be Careful Around Some Surfaces
Poetic kindly sent me this case in exchange for a review, as I'd previously bought their Poetic Note case for my Nexus 7 (2013) (and love it!).
The good: I love the feel of this case... it gives the otherwise cheap feeling Amazon Fire some real substance. I also love the rubber bezel on the sides which makes it great to grip and hold. The front lip isn't huge which is nice, but still substantial enough to keep the screen off dirty surfaces if you lay it screen down. The rubber is also nice and rigid, and it holds it very securely; buttons seems to work well in it still. I like the back plate styling a lot too. And overall, with this case on, it really feels like I can frisbee the Fire around (to the couch, across a table, etc) without worry.
The meh: The removable back plate is rather tricky to take off, but is just part of how securely this case fits together. Some of my MicroUSB cables have less than svelte connectors which are a bit difficult to plug in, and make the case bulge out a bit around it (photo).
The bad: The hex screws that hold the back plate on... the heads stand off the back by about a millimeter (photo), and while they certainly give it a rugged look and have the benefit of keeping the back from getting scuffed/damaged because it never rests on the plastic. But, I am extremely worried about them scratching other devices in my bag, and incredibly leery of tossing this around or even setting it down on surfaces you actually care about... like wood tables you don't want dented/scored, my glass desk, the glass conference table at work, etc. I really cringe getting it near anything glass. I'm tempted to just leave them off as the back plate does snap onto the rubber really securely anyway, but I also kind of wish they were plastic metallic-looking screws or just flush plastic plugs instead.
Overall, I do like the case a lot, and have continued to use it for the last 3 weeks despite my reservations about the screw-heads.

Video Review: Poetic Karbon Shield for the Google Pixel XL

I reviewed the brute of the Poetic bunch of cases, the Revolution, but now it’s time for a more tame case. The Karbon Shield is the company’s slimmer TPU case meant for a fair amount of protection with an abundance of style.
There is a small raised lip around the edges of the glass, much less than other TPU cases, and the back is flanked with some nice designs. The center of the back adds some thickness, not noticeable in the hand, with an added Carbon Fiber patterned panel. Surrounding that are a series of nicely angled recessions along both sides. These elements offer a very unique design to what would be a rather boring case.
The left and right sides of the case feature small protruding lines that offer grip, making this case very easy to hold without the fear of slipping. Cut outs are adequate around all the sensors and ports, with a very nice slope down to the fingerprint reader.
Something I had never seen before on a TPU case are the recessed reinforced corners that appear to be of a different material. Or perhaps a machined part of the TPU. Either way, it’s a unique feature.
The buttons are not the greatest, and the only weakness I can see given the type of case. The power button is fairly hard to press. I like clicky buttons that offer physical and audible feedback, but that is not what you get with that button. A remedy for this issue would be to make an incision along the long sides of the button with an razor, loosening up the TPU. This is a quick and easy trick that had worked for me in the past. The volume buttons are much better, however. They offer a decent amount of feedback. Oddly enough, the bulkier Revolution case offers fantastic amounts of feedback.
All-in-all, this is a great TPU case. And definitely one of the best looking as well. For under $11 on Amazon (prices seem to fluctuate), it’s a pretty great deal.
