It's probably possible to port, but would most likely require lots of work. The fact that the I535 and the international model i9300 are based on very different hardware chipsets actually makes these phone very different from each other, from a development perspective.
JUST SO THAT THIS IS CLEAR TO ANYBODY WHO READS THIS THREAD. DO NOT FLASH THE INTERNATIONAL ROM LINKED IN THIS THREAD TO YOUR I535.

you're phone doesn't have its own forum since there aren't many members that have that specific phone.

Galaxy S3 port? also, jellybean?

Can someone possibly port the stock galaxy s3 rom? I know rem-ics is themed like it, but it is missing some features, like the unlock. And its just a theme, i'd prefer a port of the actual rom. Also, after we get the true ics kernel, will someone start trying to port jelly bean? Thank you c:

If you mean the touchwiz 5 launcher that comes with the gs3 you can flash a zip file to your phone already its in one of the forums look up touchwiz 5 for all phones. and yes as soon as the new kernel comes out work on job will start.

Wow longuge, you sure are one hell of a developer. First jellybean, now this? Amazing. By the way you have 4 weeks left to finish jellybean.

I'm waiting dont worry c: i was just wondering. Plus, im kind of interested in making roms but i dont know how. Sorry, im new to this stuff.
By comparison, the ROM part is a cakewalk compared to the kernel. If you have C experience, check out the Team Acid git repo and Bhundven's Aries kernel.
If you want to start on ROMs, there is a wiki post on compiling AOKP / CM9 from scratch for the SGS4G. Search on "Acidify" if it doesn't reveal itself quickly.

[Q] Looking for latest MIUI for G2x

I love both HellFire and ParanoidAndroid ...BUT... have always had a fondness for MIUI.
I have not run a MIUI rom in a long time, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me or
point me to the latest *English* MIUI that runs on our phone ?? I have seen a couple
in GSx Dev thread, but they seem quite old.
I would greatly appreciate it !
This is what I am running right now it has a nice theme but the MIUI port is old ....
can anyone sugest a newer or updated version of any ported MIUI closer to Feb. 2013 ??

Thanks for the reply. I have been there, but very confused. If you are familiar with that site, could you tell me, is MIUI_G2x_V4_2.7.27-NEW-BB the latest for my LG G2x that is in English ?
THanks again friend.

As far as I can tell that is the newest English version they are going to v5 in the next month

Miui just uses CM7 as base, so you could grab an updated MIUI ROM for another phone, and the latest CM7 ROM for the G2x and port it.

I337Z MH1 kernel source.

Im not sure if anyone has noticed it since the AIO 337z isnt known much about but their MH1 kernel source is up. It won't benefit us much maybe but maybe help offer new kernel benefits seeing as AIO is an ATT owned company so the the i337Z should be just a renamed i337.

I would not do anything until a dev makes it work for us, if it works. Assume you would have to decompile and look at it. Not sure if that is the process or not. I am not that savvy, so will stay clear.
Finally got the update zip for 4.4.2 without installation

It's kernel source, not a kernel. Not to mention you can't get custom kernel while bootloader locked.

That's better.
No, you have to be careful to only flash kernels made for our device. I've never heard of that kernel, if you link it I can tell you for sure.
Additionally there are some specific to TouchWiz or aosp roms, you have to flash the correct one.

Yea talk to a buddy over in the get forum [where I came from] and he told me same thing you said so I guess I'll have to keep looking for a good stable kernel

Kernels are based on the device. If you are using a touchwiz rom then flash a touchwiz kernel if using an aosp rom then flash an aosp kernel. now that aosp kernels (4.4.2 kernels) are now universal you can check out kernels from other s3 varients as long as the developers updated it.
