Hey guys, just wanted to ask if anyone could recommend a screen protector with a privacy filter where it restricts the viewing angles so any onlookers would see a black screen whilst looking head on you would see the normal screen.
Thanks guys

I haven't used one but I suggest you take a look at the reviews and see the customer feedback because I know some of them restrict use of the capacitive buttons.
Ahh right I see thanks, I don't think that should be too much of a problem as I could just trim it off using scissors. Also I can't seem to find a screen protector that limits the viewing angles of the phone

New update guys: I bought one off eBay from a fella called viakeys. Works fine for me and I have my privacy from onlookers

Recently, I accidentally scratched my screen. Does anyone know of a way to either remove the scratch or fill it?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
learn your lesson and put a screen protector on it. theres no way to remove the scratch but a screen protector could help make it less visible.
OMG!!!
Sensation's screen supposed to Gorilla Glass. Please have a look onto below link's list.
http://www.corninggorillaglass.com/products-with-gorilla/htc
Could u also pls let us know exactly how this happended ?
OMGWTFBBQ!!
GG isn't scratch proof, it's scratch resistant. I bet this same scratch on a non GG device would have been awful or maybe even cracked the screen.
OP - the only thing I know of to do is get a good screen protector. A lot of times the screen protector will make the scratch really hard to see.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
ofcourse there are ways to fill the scratches...heard very good stories about displex http://www.displex.com/
displex is fake... I bought it one time for my phone and it did NOTHING.
Thanks. I will thank your posts when I get back to my computer, because the xda app doesnt have a thanks button.
I will get a screen protector. Also, I was able to make the acratch smaller by putting toothpaste on it.

Did u notice ur whites get any whiter?

Displex worked fine for me many years ago on an old SE. Not sure with the new touch screens. And presumably gorilla glass, if indeed harder to scratch, will be hard to polish out any scratches.
If anyone has the misfortune to trash their Sensation may be they will do a little test on the screen with toothpaste and Displex?

you could always try the little kit that you can buy that repairs chips in a cars windscreen.. its basically a resin that fills in the chip in a windscreen to virtually nothing and for a scratch it may fill the hole and leave just a small remnant of the scratch... this is basically because you obviously see through a windscreen and it works well for that application...
failing that as others have said you will have to suck it up or find a replacement screen on ebay and put a screen protector on it.. i seen a replacement screen for $50 on ebay and if the scratch is that bad maybe thats another option
Hey everyone. I got my invisible shield yesterday. Full body coverage. Carphone Warehouse £17.99. Installed it yesterday. Pleased with results.
As you can see in the pictures, there are still water bubbles on the front screen protector, but they are still drying up.
Now I am rest assured my desire s will remain scratch-free!
Sorry for the poor quality, shot on a 3mp tg01 camera.
Any questions, request more pictures, and I will be glad to answer!

Hi! I always try and avoid cheap screen protectors because they get scratched easily and they make the screen much more reflective. If you want a quality protector I recommend the case mate or official HTC protector. For a case, there are loads avalable like Amazon etc!

I have tried an ebay anti glare screen protector branded "Screen Guard professional". These are the easiest I have tried to apply without bubbles but do give the screen a rather unattractive grainy effect where white areas are viewed. I have gone back and ordered some clear ones from the same range.
Are the water bubbles already completely gone?
Nice, but I don't see a need for a full body. For me a screen protector is enough.

Hi mate, most of the tiny micro bubbles have all gone now I just have a 3 bubbles left now, and they are steadily disappearing! I will post screenshots later to update it
I recommend it greatly if you want to keep your desire s scratch free

Thanks, I was also thinking about getting one, nice to know that the bubbles actually go away. I was a bit wurried that the bubbles would stay or leave small rings.

Nope , it won't leave any residue when it comes off still recommend it !
Only thing though, when I went in holiday to Florida, the shield started to peel away abit. I'm guessing this is to do with the really hot weather though! Other than that the shield is great !

i had one of these on my previous phone, with resistive touch, the film was a little rubbery but wasn't a problem with a resistive... how is on a capacitive? Fingers are sliding well? One plus question, is oil-repellent for fingerprints? ty

How??
The screen protector doesn't even cover up the proximity sensor. There is a cut out for it...
It may be a ROM you are using with RC tweaks, they make the sensor less responsive

I'm using this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ory=58540&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1#ht_2417wt_1211 and am VERY satisfied with it! It fits the whole screen (yes also the rounded edges) and i'm having it on there for 1 month now. No signs of peeling off. It feels good and no scratches on it.
Perfect in my opinion!
Thanks
Thank you very much I will get one today from ebay.
Can you please give me the name of that screen protectore ? I tried that link you gived me and it's not working.
Thannnkkss

Yes it's XtremeGuard. Search on ebay for 'XtremeGuard G2x' and you will find it! It can take a long time to arrive, i'm using it on my optimus 2x and it took 5 weeks before I got it. But it's defenitely good!
I'm using Xtremeguard, and I'm not thrilled with it. It fits well and stays in place. But I'm not especially careful with my phone and the screen regularly comes into contact with keys, change, etc. This results in dimples in the screen protector that either don't go away or go away so slowly that new one are still building up.
So maybe I should say that this isn't the best option if you are careless with your phone. Somehow I managed to treat my original Moto Droid the same way for almost two years without a screen protector and without a scratch. But the G2x screen has not fared as well, and Xtremeguard has not proven to be the answer.

Hi. After I had bought a Otterbox Defender Case I realized that the build in screen protector is pretty bad. So I've taken it out. Now I want to buy a Screen protector. It should have a good protection, a clear foil and it should be matt so that It won't reflect. Any recommendations ?
And it shouldn't show fingerprints

OK I'll take a look at their site. Yes there are always bad reviews like "too expensive, blablabla" "not waterproof, blablabla" but I don't care about such reviews. So thanks and I'll take a look at.

I use matt screen protectors myself, you should know that no matter which one you buy it will make the screen look 'grainy'. I put up with this because I prefer the matt look and want to cut out reflections as much as possible.
the zagg invisibleshield is the highest quality I have used personally
