I have rooted my Motoroi xt720(korean ver) using SuperOneClick and installed the Milestone Overclock application, however, when i open the it then selects "Load module". It gives me an error prompt that says "Failed to load module" and the app doesnt give me the option to overclock the phone. I need help on this. Thanks in advance!

I also tried that and was able to set CPU to either 1ghz but when i check the system info it still says 600mhz.
I have other OverClocking apps installed, do they affect each other or is there any of them that takes precedence among the others?

thx for info, feel better now
so whenever i install a overclocking app such as set CPU, android overclock, tegra, etc... the apps just force close! i tried several roms and it does the same thing !
the only kernel that seems to work is the Trinity kernel i use it with pheonix blood rom. but i use the cyanogenmod overclock setting in the cyanogemod performance tab. for as the apps still fc. any idea why ?
Maybe fix permissions? If noy try flashing the latest faux kernel and running setcpu with it. Works great for me good luck
Making bad decision's one at a time.
It wasn't fix permissions I'm using miui rom right now and still get the force close :/

Have you tried using CPU master, worked for me when I was using miui, it could be an issue with your superuser.apk try setting the automatic response to "allow" in superuser->settings and see what happens. Good luck
It worked!!! Thank you

donwload root checker app chek if you are rooted, /root again
I did & it said I wasn't cause there's no superuser…but I can reeboot into recovery & I'm running 4.1.1 jellybean ROM

Is there either a superuser or super su app installed? There should be. Try going into whichever one you have and update binary, then rerun root checker and make sure you allow access when it asks for it

You only need one or the other, not both. Stick with whichever one came with the Rom. Go to the app and under settings choose update binary. If it asks for permission, grant it.
Delete whichever one you're not using.
And all custom ROMs on here are rooted

I've noticed with superuser I've sometimes needed to run the update a few times before it'll work.
If this has been a problem since you first flashed the ROM, I'd recommend doing a complete wipe of everything and reflashing the ROM

You can use a tweak to overcome your problem.
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
As you have your phone rooted, go to /system/build.prop and edit it with a text editor (You can use Root Manager for this process) and add this line at the bottom of the page
"ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1" (without quotes)
After adding this line carefully reboot your phone and clear memory with your phone's task manager and you can observe a much of ram left.
CAUTION: DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG WITH YOUR PHONE.

If you have fast sdcard or internal card you can SWAP. search it. it's basically partitioning your sdcard to be a part of the RAM

If there is a shortage of ram, I don't think locking the launcher in memory will help.

But what i think is that with this tweak all the unwanted background apps get cleared off leaving a wide range of ram to use.

Try marking "grant" in default access option and see if it helps.

I tried that but it didnt work... i thought the root might have been taken away by some app so i tried rerooting it but it got stuck on Starting ADB Server, then i thought, maybe i can unroot it, so i downloaded a root uninstaller but it needed root access which it cant verify

Friend
Try to enhance ur phone performance by installing v6 super charger....it speeds up your ram and phone.......
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
RAM-expander allows you to make extra ram available, as a swapfile on your sd card.
You need a fast card for this, but the dev has a utility you can run first to check compatibility.
Also look at auto memory killer, which is not a task killer rather it manages the minfrees, so your can keep as much memory free as possible

I'm looking for an app that already exists or if someone would be willing to create... I am using miui v5 I have found a list of kernels that can be flashed but my only issue is I can't find an app that gets these settings to stick after boot...any help would be appreciated
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Any settings you set during the installation of a kernel will be automatically enabled once the phone has booted.
If, for some reason, that's not happening then try a different kernel because it means there's an internal error somewhere.

Things like high performance sound and other tweaks are not set on boot unless your kernel app is set to do so..at least for my device and the others I've used...miui`s ram disk messes that up...that's why I was looking for an app outside of the ones I know of to made setting on boot stick.
