[Q] Vpn Problrm With HD2 GB2.3.5 CM7 " Unable to Connect to network ! "

i have problem with vpn ! every thing work great but this one annoying me !
how can i fix it !? please help me ...

Hello,
I have same problem on MY HD2 with CM rom. Lot of tries but with same result.
I have tried pptp lot of times. But only with half result. I am able to connect, receive IP from pptp server and also I can ping routers LAN IP. But that's all. I am not able to ping other address from LAN. My Vpn setting on hd2 always shows "connecting" and connection crash after 10 sec. I thought it is problem on my router, but maybe not. Behaves it similarly for you?

i tested nexus one HD2 and vpn worked correctly , some time in PPTP i faced as u say
but it refers to your settings ! try L2TP

I have fixed permissions to /etc/ppp/ip-up-vpn to 777 and after reboot vpn pptp works perfect for me. Did you tried it?

Use application "es file explorer" set root explore and mount filesystem in setting of app - it allows you to change properties of file. Then navigate to /etc/ppp/ long tap on file ip-up-vpn select properties and select read-write permission for all.

Hello which kernel do you use? I made some tests and only kernel_hieros_v1.7.4_HD2 kernel is able to make vpn. I tried also Tytung kernel R12-SEP12-HD2 and kernel_Kefir_v0.9.7.4_HD2 but with this two kernels without luck.

[q] trouble with google play market

google play market open and i have able to download apps when i am using mobile tata docomo internet but when m switched to wifi download stops n google play says server error
then the problem is google play not working on wifi connection
i just flashed r with stock rom n kernel but problem is still present
what i do¿

Try clearing the market data and cache, also you could try to uninstall the updates to Google Play if required.
Google Play will automatically update to the latest version i.e. 3.5.15
If the above doesn't help, Google for 'Market Enabler' app it allows you to use settings of different providers to enable market access if its being blocked by your ISP's router.
Do update here whatever you do.

i have trid thos things but it not worked for me
even i flashed n restore my r nearly 7 times
but i cant find any solution for that
but wtf market runs on slow mibile internet but not in high speed wifi 2mbps connection

That's odd because I'm having a similar issue I flashed the latest OrDroid rom for the sensation and could not download from google play
Flashed back to a working backup same issue I am not able to test on wifi om at work

Did you try the Market Enabler app ? Even that doesn't help you access the market on your WiFi ?

ok so my market is working again but very slowly dunno maybe there was an issue with google

Since this seems to be a good place to ask....
Why is it that I can't update supersu or superuser on market version 3.5.15
I had to download 3.4.6 from the fireplace market to get it to work...
Anyone else? Any fix?

did you tried login via browser?

I dont find any issues with google play app downloads while on Wifi.. I was on Infected Rom V1. Now i am on ZCL1-Project Sensation rom..
I think this issue has got to do with your google account barred..for few days?? try deleting the old account password and adding another password from google accounts.

i think 2 or 3 days google blocked me for again n again downloading application
now m unblocked n able to download apps via wifi

Oh ! That's the first time I'm hearing that they block for over-downloading, it could be something else.
Anyways I am glad that now its working for you.

mediafire not working

I have been trying to download roms uploaded on mediafire but I am unable to do so. I always get web page not available error using dolphin browser .
with opera and uc download doesn't start
please help

Which ROM are u using??
Try downloading thru inbuilt browser.. i dwnlod it thru opera and also with inbuilt browser.

I am using jana v6
I tried inbuilt browser but it also says web page not available
in opera download starts but fails after 1-2 mb

i am using official cm7 i had this prob in opera so i used to dwnlod it from inbuilt browser.. and i checked now mediafire is running fine.(i dint dwnload now bt the page is dislplaying)
did u eva face the same probs in ur prev rom?

I am stuck on the page display itself ! web page not available ... I face this problem on every rom .. for past month or so .. I got lucky when I download jana v6 from dolphin after getting the same error 100 times .. but not this time ..

Dude wat al are your probs..?
as u mentioned in the general thread dat u get bootloops ans also your phone signal disappears..
this mite be the prob .. your phone signal is weak so mobile data speed also gets affected and this mite also be a resn u cannot view the page..
do a backup of your sd card format it completly and also chek fr viruses in the data on your pc then copy only the rom(any) flash it with a clear installation(keepng in mind all the instructions) and wait for a day see if you get any reboots. Also check your internet connctn thru inbuilt browser.if it works then copy all your data.

hey I didn't say about getting any bootloops
my data works perfectly fine there is no weak signal here
also if there was, it wont have just affected mediafire !
don't know but I feel that mediafire is blocked by my server or maybe by adaway
maybe its the problem with adaway but even on not keeping it mediafire doesn't work so unsure
as the last resort I told my friend to upload the file to my Google drive so I could download it finally

Well, to me it sounds like a DNS problem, DNS is the way your device translates the address of the site to its IP, this is very common, i would try looking for a way to download Google's DNS configuration, most AdBlocker apps do that, they work by downloading Google DNS and then remove common add addresses, so, try that and tell us what happened.
Oh another reason for it not working could be your network provider, but, i guess this recently occurred therefor it is ruled out, but still possible =)

well the dns is Google itself .
also now I removed adaway and still download works with opera mini , and not with dolphin and stock browser

hey guys tellme r u able to view any other sites(Fb, google) thru any of your browser?? check your internet settings.
i had downloaded the new update of CM7 this monday and also the latest gapps so that means mediafire is working good.
At last i wud say try flashing some other rom and try downloading rom. i had downloaded the rom thru dolphin browser.

I have tried on jana rom and me v4 rom on both the roms I am facing the same error so i don't know if its the problem of custom rom.
social networking sites work ... atleast I can say that about facebook .

Every single site working besides mediafire in every ROM in every browser..i have checked it in more than 5 roms..still not finding solution and this is a serious problem..
@soham i think so its vodafone problem bcz my dad is also facing same problem..

settings>wireless & network settings> Mobile network> chek the network operator. select vodafone once again and then chek the Access point shud b Vodafone live(not sure cz i have IDEA) ask Raj for this what shud b there in access point.
but if you are able to see the other sites then this may be the mediafires site probs and not the vodafones probs cz u are able to surf other sites..

Instruction

3.turn on mobile data and wait till rom toolbox have granted.....then open stock browser....
4.If still loading on browser.... force close or using multitasking to closed browser....then turn off mobile data...

Works but have little problem...
I've already test this method and its working... I try using set DNS pro, but problem is wait till granted s/u...
sometimes wait few second, sometimes few minutes, sometimes up to 30-40 minutes...

[Q] MiniProvisionmod by annoyingbee bug

Hi, i recently installed the provisionmod everything works fine, but i noticed some bugs:
original camera app sometimes fc
the wifi settings sometimes crash and the button to switch on and off become unmovable then i must reboot my phone to use wifi
downloading apps from the play store is very slow.
I'm currently using S2E with this rom.
Hope that someone can help, sorry 4 bad english!

For Camera use a 3rd party app.Camera Zoom FX or Camera 360 recommended.For Apps downloading,i think if you are on 2G,you would get max downloading speed of 25-30 kbps. (also depends on network signals)
Try downloading apps by opening Play store in the browser and see if it gives you same slow speed.
Haven't used the ROM you are using now.So,can't say anything about WI-FI but in MiniCM10 4.1.2 everything is solved and working smooth and stable.

Flash garudav5 kernel. May help Wi-Fi (link in my signature )
