[q] gt-i9003 wifi problem - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

before few days i got gt-i9003 originally from Russia
since then i change 8-10 Roms
from 2.21 until 4.1.2 but in all of them i get wifi problem
can someone recommended a ROM that have a working wifi?

WiFi problem? I already change ROM 10 times and i never encounter any problem with the WiFi (only on CyanogenMod 10 Alpha 3), try to check your MAC address in the phone setting. Or try to start from stock ROM >> Flash CF-Root >> Flash your custom ROM. Hope this way will fix it
Try to flash JellyBam, I used this ROM for 3 months and it work nice, everything works.

You can try ehendroix ii 12.12.13 ROM smooth and without any problem. ya if your problem is related to WiFi hotspot it is with every ROM,try using third party app for that

[Q] Is it possible to change the baseband firmware

Hello,
Recently I've been facing SOD on my Tab, and I read somewhere here on xda, that it's sometimes a modem problem.
So I was thinking of changing the modem/baseband firmware only.
Is that possible and how?
I know officially there is only ICS for the Tab, and I'm currently running PA v2.50; JB.
Thanks all!

Well, i dont know which version of the tab you have (p6810 ? p6800 ?)
There is a thread discussiong wifi-dropping problems including possible solutions to flash another roms baseband if I understand it right. You might thus have a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1754937
Sorry forgot to mention it's a P6800. Well, I'm not having issues with my WiFi dropping, I'm having sleep of deaths. Meaning the Tab would sleep and pushing the power button will not wake it up, I have to hold the power button for 10 seconds to force a reboot.

Well, maybe... I don't know
Any help? Problem is that I'm facing the same problem since stock ICS, and already tried a few custom ROMs, ending up with JellyBean now.
One thing to note is that I could limit down the rate of SOD's when I turn auto-brightness off before getting the device to sleep.

Maybe try a custom kernel and governor (Pegasus) or stock kernel and with app such as Voltage Control to change governor.

Hello,
I really appreciate the time you're taking to help with my problem - can you help though with more details?
I mean, I'm running Androguide's Paranoid Android v2.5, is it possible to flash custom Kernels? Or do I have to get another custom ROM?
I'm basically missing the bigger picture you know
Detailed help is very highly appreciated
Thanks

Your problem can have a multitude of causes.
However to answer your initial question :
You can fash whatever baseband you like using PC or Mobile odin.
Just download and flash an apropriate modem.bin for your P6800
I would start by fladhing stock HC rom and then see if the problem persists on HC.
Oh and while you are rooted (i suppose), download the emmc brick bug test app from playstore to check your internal memory.
FYR. the baseband is the modem.bin inside the stock rom.
It can be replaced to your p6800 via Odin or Mobile Odin. I have extracted a few modem from different stock roms. P6800XXLA1, P6800XXPLA3, P6800XXPLW and P6800DXLP7. send me your e-mail if you want them.
For the Paranoid rom, I'm using my own build of v2.55, wifi and gps(I got 9 sat.) works fine for my p6800.
I think Androguide's 2.55 will come soon and solve you problem.
Thanks all for your input .. I've flashed another modem.bin and haven't faced SOD's.
Note however that I turn Auto brightness and WiFi off every time I let the Tab go to sleep.
I'll wait for PA 2.55 and see how things go.

CM10.1 alpha8 by Dhiru - wifi doesnt work

Hi, i recently change my mobile rom from Stock to CM10.1 alpha 8 by dhiru.
Everything works perfectly except for wifi connection, i turn it on but after a few secons turn off by it self...
I've been looking for several days for a solution and found anything. The network works fine, i have EFS and IMEI backup, like i said works. But not the wifi, any solution?
I'll try coming back to STOCK Rom and later to CM10.1 again...
----------
EDIT 1
Well now wifi doesnt work either on DDLF2, connects and disconnect continuously.... any solution? I can see the SSIDs of the wifi's around me, i try to connect to my router, but doesnt stay on.
Theres no problem with wifi in alpha8, try to do a fresh install with full ddlf2 (dont forget pit) and then flash a8.

Thanks for the info, i just read all this thread "DDLF2 Full (PIT,BOOTLOADER,PDA,PHONE,CSC) Orignal Firmware"....and.... i'm not sure if flash with or without "Bootloader"... Some people say no problem, other say brick the phone... i just want to be sure.
I've currently CM10.1 alpha8 installed, thanks
Follow the instructions provided in the rom thread. Everything will be fine. Go ahead with ddlf2. When moving to 10.1 flash Dhiru;s rom first then flash your preferred rom. Good luck.
I confirm I've no Wifi problem at all with this room by following the clean install instruction.
Well i follow your tips... and wifi doesnt work....neither in DDLF2
Do not include the bootloader in odin...in case odin crashes/freeze and you included the bootloader you will hard brick your phone because you won't be able to access the download mod or recovery.
the bootloader of all stock gb roms and all custom roms is the same only include the bootloader if you are reverting back to Froyo.

[q]What's wrong with my phone?

I have a samsung galaxy Ace II X. For a while now, I've been having a couple of problems.
I can't connect to wifi. It just says "turning on"
My phone constantly reboots for no reason.
I have tried a factory reset and the problems continue. Can somebody tell me what is wrong and how I can fix it?
Is your device rooted???

Many rooted device on resting to factory mode stops working, the only way to work it up now is to restore to an previous backup.
If you dont have any previous backup try flashing a new rom fit for your device(google it). Wifi problem will also be solved, if it again shows wifi problem some time later just reboot your phone.
hope it will help:good:
thanks

No. It isn't.
Try to flash your stock rom through odin,it will solve your most errors!!!
If you are thinking to root your device in future then try some custom roms.

Is the DNS set correctly? or Router failure?
I think it's a router failure !!!
So flash your stock rom !!!

yes it is,

I doubt the DNS or router is the problem, as the OP said the WiFi just keeps saying TURNING ON and not connecting, so the WiFi can't even activate itself, so the router and DNS are out of the question. Plus the phone keeps rebooting for no reason.
So that sounds alot more like a corrupt android install in the phone. Best bet would be to reflash stock rom first and foremost using odin. Be sure to get the EXACT rom for your phone though, as a friend of mine found out the hard way that a samsung galaxy s2 (i9100) and the s2x (t989-t989d) and 2 VERY different phones and trying to flash the i9100 rom in his t989d bricked it. Lucky for him it was just a softbrick and i was able to reflash the correct rom and get it back to life.

This may sound dumb, but have you reset your router or power cycled it (unplug for 30 seconds)?
It could be the router.

Sounds like your WiFi antenna is not working.
Maybe Odin to latest stock after flashing a stock ROM to see if that helps.
Other than that, I'm stumped.
